    So, this is from the powder bouys FB page. Even though the bouy is basically bar room science, and it seems to work for utah, the guy has been including CO, and jackson in his posts. The take away from this should be that he knows more about the weather out there than i do. im not too keen on reading these graphs, but the one thing i do know is all those lines going up is a good thing.

    Its ashame they arent paying attention to the Elevator. The off trail stuff is what makes that tiny little mountain fun. My last year as a passholder, i was cleaning out the E glade to make it skiable. Not real easy to pull tree branches out from a foot or two of man made.

    Whats the Elevator looking like these days? A rain then freeze tend to fuck up the E glade and elevator until it like softens and then get new snow on top. That area right below risk it can be a ton of fun, but needs lots of pow since its usually full of ice boulders pushed over from Floyds. Looks like the trees at happyland were real good.

    Oh yeah, when i had a brain fart and took lower sidewinder instead of lower lazy to main, i got to ride the the 6 with someone who proclaimed “theres no way they did any grooming last night”. He wasnt thrilled with conditions at 11:30 am.

    #1 day for me at Blue this year, thus far. More powder days to come. Plan on it. Those first 3 runs down Razors were glorious. Why we got three steller runs down razors i will never know. Lots of people gravitated towards sidewinder. If we had the base off trail like we did a week ago, today would have been even better. Doug was kind enough to hook everybody up with soft pretzels from wawa and beers in the lot. I’m glad the guy eating shit under the lift, in front of his kid was ok in the end, but that was priceless. I dont know how he though that was going to go ok. Nothing but rocks. He had to tear his bases up.

    So, i am assuming the guide was pretty instrumental in getting you guys relocated off the mountain. How would this have gone if you didnt have a guide?

    I'm with you on the later season option, but you need to put a little faith in the Bouy. Everyone going out west is going to get powder. I just know it.

    ^^^^i think all the skis you have will suck with that forecast. And maybe not even take your own skis, thats just a huge pain in the ass, and pisses of the airlines. just get some when you get out there. I remember something in here about a ski Volkl makes. TMR's?

    THE JACKSON HOLE DAILY SNOW Mixed showers and temperatures in the teens to single-digits will be the story over the weekend. We'll then shift to Sunday night through mid-next week for a good-looking pattern to develop over the northern Rockies. We could receive snow every day next week so wax your skis and boards this week and get ready for a return to POW town!

    My plan was to take off friday, but i may have to take delivery of a new truck at work. I think i might take off wednesday. If they do get a few inches. Even groomed out it should be better than conditions over the past few days, and probably better than friday would be.

    Jackson Hole Mountain Resort January 12 at 1:41pm · 16" of new snow is just what the doctor ordered. Parts of the lower faces are now OPEN! Hobacks next... Stay tuned for further updates. I guess "next" means they need just a bit more snow. I think they have a decent system coming in friday or so. the week after looks "active" out west from what i have read.

    Rummy is the guy in the know there, mentioned is in this TR..... Whether its the watershed people or the Village people, it seems like Elk doesnt have total freedom of snowmaking.

    Not real surprised at that, but that sucks. We saw 3 sliding down Razors on one lift ride, pretty early on.

    I'm gonna bring my wide skis, and my wider skis. i really like both pairs. i like to demo stuff, but not sure i would go out west without taking my on skis.
