Its like Groundhog day everyday at Blue. They start the lift 45 mins before opening, and just cross their fingers. Hopefully they will learn from this. Run them all night if they have to. Pay someone handsomely to stay there at night. what ever up charge that is in electric, or wage, i am sure is way better than the tongue lashing they are getting now.

No doubt. I dont think there was one resort that wasnt basically over crowded. But Blue pretty much took the cake for as far as i am concerned, with their lift ops, and that ridiculous move to close free fall. I totally get that it was crowded. overcrowded would be an understatement. They certainly found their weakness, and its their lift ops, and ultimately, management. The OG 6 should have been plan B, ready to go at any time for a while now, and they showed it was barely on their radar. I dont know what ancient indian burial ground the lifts at Blue are built on, but we all know they are cursed. they have lift issues all the time, and i get that shit breaks, but they were not prepared, and it happened at the worst time, although the quad was probably preventable if they had someone there before like 7:30 am to turn it on. @benm aint making shit up.......they were more concerned about the paid parking than the lift situation. Its like showing up to Dunkin Donuts on Valentines day for the heart shaped donuts, only to find out they didnt make them. "you had one job to do."

Im a little curious as to what my driveway will look like Friday, as i shoveled a path to the car, and just drove off. Im going with it wont all wash away, and it will be a big frozen mass when i get back to it. Plus, there is now what was in the road in front of my driveway.

I would be interested to know how many Ikon passholders where there yesterday. maybe they need to limit ikon? They definitely had to many people there yesterday.

i've had the condition report open since 6 am, and they definitely did show Raisins being open. They are probably changing things on the fly as it suits them. lol. Oh, and its pretty busy there right now, 12 noon. OG 6 is running. And yeah, like @indiggio mentioned, tons of people complaining about no SP line for any lift. Hopefully they will use this experience as a learning tool. they have gotten enough shit about it, and i do think its warranted. Lifts should start loading at opening. All of them should be operational, and pretty much ready to go any day, any hour, and its pretty apparent, that hasnt been the case. We have all been there for a day in the past, whether its a powder day, or just a day where there is like no chance they can fuck up the grooming.....and they have lift issues. its like showing up to Dunkin donuts, and they say they dont have any heart shaped donuts on valentines day. You had 1 job to do. If i was management, i would be utterly embarrassed over what happened yesterday. Its all on management.

Both 6's are currently running. looks like they are setting up ropes to run the old 6 today. I guess they are working on redemption.

I saw posts about it, but didnt know if it was poaching or even legit. I would think that would be a little sketchy. That seems like a move in desperation to try to salvage some other short comings from today.

This needs to be framed up somewhere. blue is getting hammered on their FB post. 100 negative, pissed off customers, and that 1 fucking “you're my boy blue” guy. Its pretty good entertainment. how they thought things were going to go well with 1 lift running is an epic fail. Hopefully they will be prepared next time, cause it was fucking amateur hour at best. every resort is/was crowded today. Thats unavoidable. But blue needs to get their fucking lifts to run, and honestly, this should all fall on management, not the people that actually showed up and i am sure took it in the ass while management hid inside.

i have no idea what i was thinking today would be good.
