Looks like Disneyland. One reason i dislike the place. I dont know the layout of Camelback too well, but wasnt that the intergalactic tubing slope they were grooming all the fresh powder on?

oddly enough, after i posted that, i called the ski shop in the valley, and he said "if we are open for skiing, then the shop is open 8-4. If we are not open for skiing its 10-4." Looks like not everybody that works there has "insider info". I was really hoping for upper main, but i guess there is still hope.

Open this weekend per FB. Same 5 trails, 2 lifts.

Dont see why i wouldnt be there sat and sun. Other than hating the top lot.

Being a skier, after 2 runs i wanted to go put my skis on and go enjoy myself on the slopes. Snowtubing makes the slopes at BB look baller.

Open for skiing. Unlike Camelback.

Tubing at Camelback will probably be open too.

i was forced to go tubing, and to me its just the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. It was at BB, and it was the longest 2 hrs of my life.

as far as JFBB, i think they close Frost, and open BB late afternoon.

Last year we had rain and snow Christmas week if i recall. Here, play with this. they actually rank weather sites/location. https://www.forecastadvisor.com/Pennsylvania/Palmerton/18071/ Nobodys forecast is ever really that accurate. Take Accuweather, Weather.com, and Weatherbug and smash them all together, and there is your forecast. If all three say Friday will be sunny and 45 degrees, chances are high thats what will happen. If they all disagree, then its a coin toss. Put that 45 or 90 day crap that accuweather has in the trash. total speculation.

Upper Main would be really nice. There may be a shot at that. But yeah, other than a few small windows, it looks sucksville for a while temperature wise. Good thing they blew like they did, when they did, dont wanna go around looking like Camelback.

I hope you like snowtubing. Camelback is going to be late to the game opening slopes. The cold air that people thought would be in place now stayed up north or whatever, so this is going to be an interesting 2-3 weeks for making snow. Seems like Blue has been making at every opportunity, but we need some sustained cold. Camelback only blowing on their tubing hill when we had that couple days of cold 2 weeks ago, might go down as a big a blunder as calling for a Monday opening on a Friday, then blowing a huge pipe and canceling opening, either last year or the year before.

Nice opening day. Learned a bit about snowmaking. Lower Main Street was really nice. Nice to hang out with the Blue crew again. Met 2 new PASR's. Missed the extended lift outage. Missed the lower lot.

If Blue did this, it would put me on pills. I cant believe they arent getting hammered on FB for this.

Fyi - in one article that i read, unrelated to when they first opened, said 8:30 opening on Friday. Now, of course whether or not that is true, is now up for discussion.
