i was gonna say 8-9 for passholders, but probably the reality is that most people riding the 6 from 8-9 am on any given weekend day are passholders.
-
Dammit. i totally forgot i had something to do in King Of Prussia at 10 am today. Totally got sidetracked. Basically drove right past the place at 10 am too.
-
I'll be stoked when Blue makes non pass holders ride the main street chair only, or the quad. its a perk for having a season pass. Happens a lot of places. Other places passholders get access earlier, free cocoa and cookies, good parking spots, etc. those are funny. theres one about sugarbush too.

I think thats about true for everywhere. i think i read at 940 snowboards it was 90% value of what it sold for in credit. I think i have something to do in KOP on Wednesday at about 10 am. or, at least i am going to make it appear as though i have something to do in KOP at 10 am on Wednesday.

I cant find where Guitar put the other dates for tent sales, so in its own thread it will go. Blues is the last weekend in October. Some firm dates here, rather than Toasts very broad and unspecific "its in the fall". https://www.facebook.com/SkiBlueMt/photos/gm.349549208833777/10155927075132871/?type=3&theater I think i will probably go, went last year and they had a lot of stuff, and also a huge crowd. Get there for first register. Make sure you get all your powder gear tuned up and stuff. La nina year. everybody gets snow!!!!!

Unlimited rentals package at Blue.

oh thats interesting. i need to call them about that. And for the $120, i cant see how they are renting you a pair of skis that only you ski on, like they just keep them propped up in the corner waiting for you to come get them. like tnt said, its a great way to lock someone into skiing primarily Blue. -

"Leave at mountain". Im gonna bet you get in line each time for your rental skis as well. Still not a bad deal if waiting in line is your thing. Its not mine. I will always pay for convienence. Now, if they rented some really interesting skis, rather than the most basic mass produced ski, that might be interesting. -
Ok, so its free and you are jonesing to start skiing. i get that. so am i. just not jonesing enough to stand in this line. i think this was Abasin early last year. That makes the opening day at BB line look like a joke.
-
I wouldnt bring one, but thats entirely up to you. I'm in for Jackson.
-
Why not go when its baller later in the season, rather than skiing with 10,000 of your closest friends on just a couple slopes? Where is that pic from last year....the lift line at loveland, i think that started halfway down the slope? lol lol lol

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing. The snow they blow in the glades is "basemaker" snow, so when it does actually snow, you can quickly skim off the powder and get down to the ice instead of hitting rocks and roots. The glades at Jack Frost tend to stay together a little longer, but it still just doesnt snow enough in PA. La Nina Winter - Lots of snow!!!! Take it to the bank.
-
Cant get nothin past you. So smart.
-
I dont get why people think Camelback is the best mountain in PA, but i do really enjoy Steamboat. Trees are great at Steamboat. And it does snow alot there. From yesterday.
-
La nina winter. Epic!!! Everybody gets snow!!!! I went to blues tent sale last year. I would put it on the recommend list. I kinda forget when it was last year though.

I heard no pipeline = no condos. Not an "inside source' just a rumor. Whats the status of the pipeline? I like sidewinder. Trails that turn are fun.
-
Whiteface is narrow, so i agree with this. No disrespect to Whiteface, but its kind of like skiing Steamboat in the geography department. When you go to Whiteface you are going to ski Whiteface, pray for good conditions. Same is true for Steamboat, but you can replace the "pray for good conditions" to "pray for a dump" I like Vermont's options better, even though it is the coldest fucking place on earth to ski.

So, i really havent skied Blue for that long, but this trail not opening doesnt come as any surprise to anyone does it? My guess is trail comes after hotel/apartment thing. I guess they did spout out about the 40th trail for their 40th year, so, i guess its upper challenge, and lower challenge this year? something like that?
-
The new trail wont be open this year?????? OMG, WTF???? He whole reason i pre-purchased my pass was because that trail was supposed to be open. Im very dissapointed. Off to FB to complain....... (Fyi-i cant figure out how to do sarcastic font from my phone)
-
huh. and here i thought everything made NMSKI fart. I guess he is extra farty doing yoga.
-
By "check it out", you mean stand outside the huge glass windows, and stare inside, correct?
-
Leaves are falling like crazy in the Poconos. Early, it seems. Kinda odd, it was chilly over labor day, then went back to summer. Suck it summer. bring on fall.
-
A friend of mine does it every year at JF. He is pretty much over the top with whatever he does, he built this last. He lets me play along even though i dont help build, and its a pretty fun tailgate type event. It took like 15 people to pull/push to the top of the tubing slope. i was fucking dying...it was so fucking heavy. It went straight down, didnt fall apart, which is good, because with how much it weighed, and 12 people riding it down, it could have been disastrous.
-
Its all location based in PA. If i lived close to Elk, i would be handing them too much money for a season pass and enjoying myself. It does kill me though, that they probably have the best terrain for trees that are off limits.
-
For a minute i got excited when i saw 700 trees, but its just 700 trees to stare at, not ski in. So, they did maintenance. I guess they need something to justify the price of the SP. Not hating on the place, just hating on the price of the SP.

A little smoked brisket goes a long way when overlooking a neighbors gaudy lawn decorations. I would be ok living next to you. Plus....carpooling! to each his own with the halloween decorations. i just dont get it.
