http://www.sugarbush.com/plan/deals/ I would say this would be your best deal if you really plan on skiing between Christmas and New Years. When i skied Sugarbush, they had a deal if you had a season pass at another resort. $50. Not sure if they still do that, i had to dig around their website for quite a while before i found that. Hit up ?Ride-DE?, i bet he gets discount tix for patrolling.

Utah is early Feb, but you wouldnt have to twist my arm too hard to go to Vermont.
-
Cause you are gonna have to drive somewhere besides the poconos to get on the snow in November. Sorry i didnt make that clearer for you.
-
im gonna hold off getting skis tuned, getting out stowed gear, etc. i am hoping my unprepared-ness makes it turn cold. Anyone wanna carpool for some turns in November? i think that will be the only way to get on the snow in November.
-
no silly.....its like driving to Vermont but without the skiing.
-
i give a November opening in PA about a 3% chance. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, or the Danny downer, Negative Nathan etc.......i dont like to wish for things that arent going to come true. i'm ok with being wrong on this. Like i said before, if we are skiing in November at Blue, i will bring the leftover Champ from last years end of season party.
-
i think passholders only this weekend. Beyond that, i think they are waiting for it to get cold again.
-
I'm pretty impressed they pulled it off. I know they have the equipment to do it, but they were really putting a lot of faith in the weather forecast.
-
i didnt want to be the one to break POC's heart, but i really believe you are correct.
-
put a nice fat ski or a snowboard on there and that would make one awesome spoiler.
-
They did fire things up, and are making snow. or something that resembles snow. Good for them.
-
I dont think they have started. From what i have been able to gather up on the information super highway, they think they will be able to start Saturday morning. I didnt see anything about snowmaking in the news yet. Looking at their forecast and tapping into my mediocre meteorological skills, i think its really on the borderline. Definitely not going to be super cold. again - using Pythagoras' theorem, we can predict the outcome.

Based upon?

lets not forget where we live. i think the past two years would be considered way above average years in snowfall and below average in temps, anything off trail with any kind of pitch to it will require some snowmaking assistance to make it skiable more often then not. I still like trees though.
-
i like trees.
-
Yeah, i heard Something will happen with something somewhere at Blue.
-
The potential possibilities for using this in the future are limitless.
-
Personally i think its a waste to go through all this to score some mediocre early season turns. That is just my worthless two cents though. might be able to carpool with %?rideDE? he is skiing somewhere in October as well.

Accuweather has their 45 day outlook. look for considerable cloudiness with mixed snow and rain becoming snow or flurries at night for Friday November 13th. They have also just released a map for that time period, so be prepared.

i will bet you 3 big oak leaves, a bridge detour, and 1 really early opening day prediction that Joaquin goes out to sea. No east coast landfall is my prediction and im sticking with it.
