And yet you still feel the need to make a comment. We all know you are not going to go. the lifts are slow and the runs are short. Is everyday groundhog day with you? Glad to hear you are back KC. I thought you did a pretty good job of plugging the holes on a sinking ship that was Montage, for the last season before the sale. I wish the people at some other ski areas would have someone as visible as you. Thats a nice offer they threw out there. Catch white lightning on a primo day and you will barely touch anything else.

I have had a few pretty ugly rides back from frost in the snow. most of them were in just like a inch of snow on the roads...just enough to make them really slick. That little hill after you pass BB is usually problematic for as small as it is, its banked from side to side. there are usually cars sliding into the oncoming lane once you crest the hill. i think whoever designed that road also designed pocono raceway.

I fixed this up for you Doug. And, in all honesty, everyone that skis anywhere listed above, isnt really upset that the slow lifts and short runs keep you from skiing there. Its actually kind of a bonus when you get right down to it.

Everything is open on east except floyds. I guess they rushed grooming telstar, solitude, and morningside to get them open, but they should have waited. Worst groomed surface i have ever seen here. I did my civic duty and cleaned out the brush in the E glade. Snow is plentiful in there. Rest of the slopes are ok, a few scratchy spots on some headwalls. Snowmaking stopped about 10 am, challenge is close to full width, left ungroomed and provided good entertainment from the lift.

Wasnt really rushing out the house this morning since they said East was to open on Friday, and Phillycore was thinking a 9 am start (Dom Time) was in order due to an always less than crowded day. Checked the east mountain cam a little after 8 am to see a swarm of red coats heading down a groomed surface, which got me motivated to head out. headed over to east, and from the lift i could see skiers right on both headwalls we left ungroomed, and you could make a few nice turns in some soft man made. Elevator glade needs a little love, and a few tree limbs removed. Over to the elevator to check it out. Skiers right needs a haircut. Unfortunately its really only covered from the top to about half down with what looked to be some nice soft man made, an it was just that, soft looking snow. it was some pretty hard core hard ass snow that left me skidding around on it as i just made an attempt to ski the very top. Usually the E-glade and Elevator get better coverage right out of the gate, but the warm weather and rain in between snowmaking efforts put the damper on that. My first lift ride on East Mt stopped 4 times, with tons of empty chairs, so it seems as though the lift is running just as good as it has in years past. Eventually they switched lifts. The balance of East Mt should be open on Saturday, which really only leaves Lehigh, which they probably started on today. Challenge is about 3/4 width, so thats looking up. The fun stuff needs some help, Park glade is slowly getting filled in. Tubing should be full open tomorrow for those interested. Overall another fun ski day with PC, and i rolled around 1 pm.

Took a walk over to east at the top of the last headwall. Things look pretty good there. I snapped off what i thought were 3 pics but i ended up with two. The missing pic was looking up at some pretty impressive whales. I was standing in the woods when i took these so its a little deceiving.

Oh my......i hope Sara wasnt there. Well, actually that could provide some well needed entertainment.
-
Possibly. Kinda hoping they groom it and keep blowing on it. The plan supposedly was open on friday from what i was told this past weekend. Might go take a walk over.

Pretty similar conditions as yesterday. Challenge isnt quite as much fun as the trees have a little crunch to them today. Blowing on exhibition which is gaining width. Fun to ski but makes my face numb and stingy. Closed demattes for a few mins to get a groomer up and over to East. ⛄️⛄️?

Over all a pretty decent day condition wise. When i left there were a few areas that were getting a little scraped off, but still a little grippy. 3/4 of the day was spent on Challange, as there was a fair amount of new snow laid down there. it was a little slow, but i spent most of the time playing on the side of the trail in and out of the trees and just off of the main trail. Crowds were a little less than normal for the holiday week. The whole scanning season passes is pretty much a joke with the lift attendants at this point. most times it looks like they are trying to land low flying aircraft, or using a hand held metal detector, just kind of waving it around in hopes the thing will scan. I swear that they picked up RidgeRacers pass from Blue with the thing as well. this persons time would be spent better attempting to organize the lift line, and helping people count to 4. The scanning of season passes, but still having paper day tickets is odd to me. But, the direct access to the slopes is choice.

^^^^ thats some funny shit right there. If anyone is considering going, you can room with GSS. I heard thats always a swell time.
-
Crowds are ok. The line at the quad kinda comes and goes. Be better if east was open. More people on the slopes than a normal saturday. Dont know about floyds but the tubing hill looks deep.

Looks like a pretty nice smathering of man made snow on almost all the trails overnight. Currently blowing on western slopes lime frosty and janes. Blowing on lower exhibition and challange. Challenge is sweet and the trees are slowly getting filled back in.
-
No bumps. The three trees you can ski around on challange are icy firmness. Exhibition is pretty much a wrod at this point. Very little base to speak of too. Snow is actually pretty decent today though.

nice day. spring skiing in December. Holy crap we need some cold weather and snow.

Dishwasher. its an appliance that you probably have, its in your kitchen. Kind of a smooth door looking thing that opens from the top. it should be under the counter. Since all your meals are purchased at sheetz, burger king and taco bell, i am sure you have overlooked it, but i bet its there.
-
East looks ok, but there is zero snow from the bottom of the last headwall to the lift. Thats kind of depressing.

it was definitely snow coming out of the gun, my guess is rust from a pipe that hasnt been turned on this year. Just my guess though. Blown pipe wouldnt be out of the norm for Frost though. it happened last year. Maybe Sara can help us understand the orange snow. She has been so helpful over in the Montage threads.
