i don't see why they wouldn't open next weekend. i have seen a few pics with big piles of snow, and they have been back at snowmaking for 2 days now.

Love still has no features on it. BB trail should be open tomorrow. Tickets are $35.

look at it from a non - season pass holders perspective. Not everything Blue does revolves around you. i dont really have any issues with the pricing either, (thanks to Mbikes super cool passes), but that pass wont work for me, since its not good on Fridays. and the discounted price of $50 is a little steep for me to be throwing that around early on in the season. i would rather save that money for a lift ticket somewhere else, perhaps Utah. I get the reasoning behind it, but it sure does have people up in arms about it. So much that it makes a big dent in their bottom line? Probably not. i could see revenue from food possibly taking a hit, because you are basically "on the clock" if you stop to take a food break. Again, probably not so much that they have to close the place up. Yeah. Since they restructured their day passes, and basically raised the price on them, you really thinking season passes wont see any increase? To quote GSS, "Two high speed lifts and the areas best trails and snowmaking" Just throwing that out there.

its still pretty earlier for discounts. its still only November. they may have some discount shit on black friday, not sure if they would be available for use so soon. Well if you read it on the internet, it must be true. Kidding, i think that was some overly optimistic marketing hype brought on by a newspaper article. JFBB has been very closed lip about anything for this weekend, with some understanding, the weather this week could have put their efforts back some, but this snow will help things along some. i am hoping Frost opens this weekend, but at the same time, i dont wish for things to come true that wont. the suck ass thing is, after maybe Saturday, the weather looks to go in the shitter as far as solid snowmaking temps.

The snow was great, there just wasnt enough of it, like to open Boulder trail. i didnt bother with freedom since the 2 trails are completly disconnected. They had whales on BB and Bunny schuss. Hopefully Peak sees how Blue produced a pretty wicked opening day, 2 days after they opened Freedom. I dont think anyone is really out to beat BB in the "open first in PA" category, although Blue probably could have opened something dinky the same day as Boulder.

No. New lift is skiers left of love. Sorta looks slightly used but i can be wrong.

It is the slowest lift, and the most uncomfortable.

Snow on love is awesome today with the warm temps. Really need to make a lot of turns to make the trail feel longer than it is. I am breaking in some new boots, so i just keep telling myself its better than walking around the house in them, otherwise i cant do this one trail for too long. Nice to be on the snow though.

Our friends at EPAWA seem to think we might see some snow mid week.
