  1. Temps look to be moving in the right direction from the last time i looked, but those daytime temps need to come down some too. Patience. 1 month to "projected" opening date.
  2. I feel like i would kill myself on the downhill part of the journey on those. Even in the videos it looks pretty awkward.
  3. We use to go from OC to the cashinos when i was college all the time. I forget why we got pulled over on the way home from AC, but im sure it was 1-2 am or something, policeman said “you guys should get out of here. I have a gun and a bulletproof vest, and i dont like being here.” havent been to AC in many years.
  4. show them the email on your phone. Thats how i did mine last year. i didnt open the email for this years though.
  5. Same. i was at Blue the other day, and talked myself into thinking they didnt do it last year, so really, this is just like finding $50.
  6. Nice work by the indy pass to step up and work to keep black mountain open for this year to find a new owner. I hope this works out for everybody involved. https://www.stormskiing.com/p/black-mountain-nh-to-remain-open?fbclid=IwAR1udRpupn36j1FButW5xSk6J5zke6ds6KNRrjWhzfa7tblnTR-PbYWbEy0

  7. Awesome. another weekend of rain. maybe not all weekend, but enough that will spoil any attempts to manage leaves in the Poconos. Looks like its getting deep up there.
  8. i was trying to be a little PC, or sugar coat it, what ever you might call it.
  9. I think the change of ownership was some time after the accidental discharge of waste into the aquashicola creek. Google reviews are really pretty good. the occasional Karen review.
  10. i remember you saying this. i was there before the remodel. i thought it was really cool then.
  11. I assume you have patronized their establishment? i havent been in there for a few years. the apres ski buffet was tempting last year, but not sure if anybody went to review the food.
  12. Cant think of a better way to spend your anniversary then with your wife and your ski buddies.
  13. Works on my end.
  14. Heats on. wont even make no heat October.
  15. That sounds country club expensive. Im more of a broken down putt-putt type of guy.
  16. Nice rack! this one walked in my buddies garage in the poconos. Of course he puts out corn for them. Which i cant stand. Not sure why people do that, but a lot of people do. having lyme at one point, i try to stay away from the wildlife.
  17. I think i can squeeze this into my busy social schedule. My fav wrap is Chicken Cheesesteak, and throwing it back on the grill for a quick min after shes all assembled takes it to another level.
  18. The bedazzling spectacle is the Dskis. Some other peice said this was pretty much "the most underwhelming announcement for the Ikon". LOL.
  19. When you poke around the WWW a little, it appears as though unlimited resorts are mostly resorts owned by Alterra, so that makes sense. this is kind of interesting as far as who owns what, but even though it was updated in like January, its still not up to date as ski resorts seem to change hands often. https://www.nsaa.org/NSAA/Media/Who_Owns_Which_Mountain_Resorts.aspx so, with this new information, i would venture to say Blue Mountain PA, will never become an unlimited resort. i cant quite grasp how KSL is in bed with Alterra, but i guess using the word "partner" is a definition used alot. Also, there will be even more confusion over BM Ontario, and BM PA. maybe.
  20. Temps in my house are right were i like them, at least they were last night, but this cool cloudy day isnt helping them stay that way. Gets warm next week though.
  21. That was such a fun weekend, im glad to hear you have the same thoughts. I might even need to start celebrating a day earlier too.
  22. Based on last years Easter weekend activities in Vermont, i was thinking about buying the Ikon in the spring to get Killy and Sugar, among some others for the 2nd annual Vermont tour. but i think only some resorts allow spring access. not sure. not up to speed on Ikon. But then obviously hit some ikon resorts out west the following year. so, with that, it would be nice if Blue were to offer a discounted unlimited pass to Ikon'ers. i think. i think that would end up better than letting Blue be unlimited on the ikon pass.
  23. Correct. its not unlimited, so for those of us that do more than 7 days, just crumple it up and put it in the circular file. Even if you are thinking i will do the 7 days on Ikon, and then buy day passes for the balance of my days, i think after about 6 weekend day passes it would be going negative, unless Ikon offers discount tix after you use up your days. i guess thats something to consider as well, but again, for the weekend regulars at Blue, like myself, its a mute1080 point. Maybe next year it goes unlimited. but part of me thinks thats a horrible idea, as i do think that would add a lot of new skiers at Blue, and im not sure we need that. I have always said im willing to pay more for less traffic. The Ikon is a no brainer for @pcklein31 , he even posted 3 times about how excited he is about it. If you just want to ski 14 days in the Poconos, and arent brand loyal, its a good deal. So that being said, i may take back my statement that i doubt we see an impact, to i think we will see some type of uptick in skier visits.
  24. how do you figure that?
