Having to wait for a lift at Frost on a weekday would be considered crowded.
-
Head over to east mt vinny.
-
i'll be there.

Gonna have to disagree. i found it was quite stiff.

I demo'd the Blizzard Bonafide at Alta, i was pretty much hating my recoils, as i have determined i like stiffer ski. i got on the Bonifides after some time on the Volkl Kendo the day before. Kendo's skied great, they would be a great replacement for my PE's. Not really looking to replace my PE's, kinda looking for something wider in the waste. Phillycore suggested the Mantras, (wider, and rockered) and through some research i found people felt the Bonafide skied similar to the Mantra. I saw a lot of info from Philpug, who is either getting a kickback from the manufacturer, or just really loves the ski. Bonafide is slight camber underfoot, and rockered tip and tail. i had a blast on that ski at Alta skiing all conditions, except really 100% fresh untracked powder. I dont really know why i chose the Bonafides over the Mantras, but i did, and i woud like to demo one more ski before really looking at purchasing the Bonafides. At one point i was on the Rossi S3, and as soon as i got off the lift i knew it was not the ski for me....too soft. i went back on the Bonafides to finish my day. Blizzard has a few skis in their freeride line that might be worth a test drive.

Around here i think its tough....seems like they do it pretty early in the season as opposed to later. i remember one day at Frost between Christmas and New Years they had a bunch of manufacturers there for demos. i think Alpina did the same just recently......Buckmans had their Customer appreciation deal like last monday....not sure if they had demos or just discount lift tix. you can also stop by Phillycores ski shop at Frost (aka the XL7) and see what he has to offer....lol.

looks like tomorrow could be ok........ Posted by wasatchsnowcast ⋅ January 26, 2012 If you’re in northern Utah, you’ll notice the cloud coverage building over the area in advance of a cold front that will pass through the area this evening. This system is a change of luck for us because it was showing as going well north of the area a few days ago but models have been consistent now for the past two days in bringing the front through the area. Snow will start in the mountains around mid-day with rain developing in the valleys during the afternoon. Snow levels will fall this evening with but not before the bulk of the precip falls. This storm will favor areas to the north with Snowbasin and PowMow likely seeing a foot or more. The Cottonwoods will see 6-12″ with locally higher amounts. Park City resorts can expect 3-8″. Good dynamics and fairly cold air will accompany the front so a period of heavy snow this afternoon and evening is likely at the resorts. Snow will diminish overnight giving way to what could be an awesome powder day tomorrow at all Utah resorts.

i feel like this is going to be an expensive layover. This bar is way to close to our gate.

Sorry for the teaser. A normally 12 minute commute turned into over a half hour as the road conditions were not great, managed to pull in at just after 8 with snow still falling. They had Challenge roped off for a race....kind of unsportsman like conduct on a powder day if you ask me. headed to east mountain and lapped lightning/rivershot and floyds before they got tracked out. crowds really didnt pick up until about 9:30, and even at the busiest time i didnt ever really have a line at the lift. Started making laps to the elevator after the trails got tracked out a bit. sometime after that i spotted Toast and his crew over by risk it and floyds. Met up with them for a run shortly there after, and then a ski exchange for myself. made a few runs down tbolt and exhibition, and then back over to east. My day was limited till about 1 pm so i was focused on getting as many runs in as possible......last run i made was down through happyland, which was still roped off, i figured if they were gonna get bent about it, it should be on my last run. looked like they were packing things up on Challange, so no big deal. happyland was still in pretty decent shape for 1 pm. left after that run. great day, it snowed until 10 or 11, but remained kinda cloudy and cold. Didnt date the title either - 1-21-2012 Saw these guys from the lift a few times Happyland

Powder. Fun. Toast and friends seemed to be enjoying the day. more on this later.

should be good. about 3" so far....

Nice day today at Jack Frost, Sun and not too many clouds to speak of. Its pretty apparent they did a considerable amount of snowmaking after the weather this week. Challange glade and E-glade were a little slick, there was a dusting of powder in them that provided a little grip, but quickly got pushed off. The Elevator was tops. i expected the same conditions there, but it would appear it got some really nice blow over from River Shot. Just a few small icy patches near the top, by the time i left. Before i got over to check out risk it i saw some boarders in it, and it was definetly slick. i snapped a pic and went on my way. Off to get some new pants since i tangled with some sticker bushes, and lost. Elevator. Risk it.

best purchase thus far. thanks.

right now it seems as though the lehigh valley could go either way with a changeover to sleet/ice. I'm reading 4" + for the poconos.

Friday night Saturday it looks like there is a good shot at our first in-season snowfall. Keep your fingers crossed.
