  1. I see no benefit for most of us, until there is an ikon + blue unlimited in one pass, and i havent put enough thought into it to really figure out if i would like that to happen. I dont think this area is littered with ikon passholders. Its unlikely a vermont ikoner is like “oh, fucking sweet dude, blue mt is on the pass. Lets skip sugarbush this weekend and go hang out in palmerton”
  2. I as well was on pins and needles.
  3. Im thinking the heat might get turned on tomorrow.
  4. i have turned the heat on in the Poconos twice now, i think. Pretty confident AC season is behind us. this weekends weather is going to suck.
  5. Gonna be epic on the East coast. Get the big boards out.
  6. im always interested in a good real estate scam. whats that all about?
  7. i feel like i was reading something like this https://www.skiutah.com/blog/authors/kathy/the-ultimate-guide-to-ski-resort which seems to be how the industry is going, and for the road/parking issues of the Wasatch. Good info to read up on, as i am sure there will be some tweaks this year. good news is you fall under the carpool catagory, and im pretty sure you rule with an iron fist as far as getting out early. last time Dom and I were in Utah we were heading up the canyon road at 7 am. Do i need new skis? no. who really does right? but i loooooove buying skis. I might trade in the Influences on something a little more powder oriented as opposed to the very wide "do most things pretty well" that the influences are. Its fun having some different skis with different attitudes.
  8. Really great first post, and you really nailed getting it in the right forum. do you know Skiitoolive?
  9. See? i told you. lots of pow days this year at Blue. Save up those PTO days.
  10. Hottest weather of the summer coming up sunday-ish. Figures. When it should be getting cooler out. im ready for fall, btw.
  11. Skiing will be good this year, i mean, unless you have plans to ski in florida.
  12. i have fox poo on my yard too. one might think the presence of a fox would deter the groundhogs from setting up camp, but it doesnt look that way. it doesnt deter the deer either. Other than shitting on my lawn, he doesnt bother me that much.
  13. This is why i dont leave the trap out at night. That, and you wont catch groundhogs at night. i have a fox that rolls through my yard often at night, and i have seen a racoon, but no skunk. Anyways, if i did catch any night dweller, i would call someone. no way i am fucking around with a fox, skunk, or racoon. @indiggio has more balls than a pool table for releasing a skunk. i dont know if groundhogs all have the same mindset or what, or like travel the same path as others have before, but they all want to go under my fence in my backyard at the same spot for some reason. so, i put some rocks in the little spot they dug out. so, if the rocks get disturbed, its a pretty good indication one is roaming around. a coworker is always trapping groundhogs. he has a small crick on his property. He gives them swimming lessons.
  14. There are some funny laws with that, but i believe you are allowed as a homeowner to shoot wild animals causing damage to your property. so, just as long as you remember to tell the neighbors, cops, peta, that they were causing damage, you probably wouldnt get put in cuffs. I do have some cats at both houses i would like to take care of, but i know the ones that roam around my house in Delco are pets, so i leave them alone, even though it sort of pisses me off that my neighbors think its ok for thier cats to just wonder around. Maybe they keep the mouse population down. i dont know. I am fairly certain it is illeagal to relocate a trapped animal. Not gonna lie, this is what i do when i trap them, except for the last one that commited suicide in the trap. Also, relocating is a little sketchy. i mean, if i saw someone relocating a groundhog near my house i would be pissed. i have a good spot near work where i hope they like, and dont go roaming to live under other peoples decks. @mute1080@Boo Bear i think i read groundhogs are like homing pigeons. Take them far away if possible. i can be wrong about that though.
  15. Kinda figured. Groundhogs suuuuuucccckkk. Horrible creatures. I saw 2 on my deck camera this year, and trapped them. I think they were visitors, not residents. Surprisingly lettuce has been the food of choice for them. I like lettuce too, but i would think twice about going in a steel box for some. Both of mine were in the trap by 6:30 am. And they go crazy once the door slams shut. happy hunting!
  16. what kind of critter are you trying to catch?
  17. I had 2 walking around my deck yesterday around 2 pm, which is kinda odd, but they were not scared of me one bit. Even when i stepped off the deck to walk to the shed it wasnt concerned with me getting even closer. My neighbors throw out corn for them, which i despise, so this is probably a result of that.
  18. For sure. Most likely why i feel the need to spend money on some type of ski. Plus, new skis are always fun.
  19. Still like my daily drivers for Blue, been looking at some powder skis, because the farmers almanac says we are gonna get hammered this year with multiple 10" pow days.
  20. My guess is Hawk Falls, and yes it is 476.
  21. I sort of thought it would have looked more like this.
  22. Cut up a SFRB can, roll it around the spout and work it down to catch the latch and pull the spout out from the wrap.
  23. i do. i figure when i retire, i will put pen to paper and write a book. With the price of fuel, we have been really making an effort to leave trucks on jobs we are working on for multiple days. yet, there are still a bunch of grown ups that act like children. One guy has come up with "having an issue with his truck that needs to get looked at when he gets back" but he makes sure its not a big enough issue that the truck cant be driven back. He does this so he doesnt have to ride with other people in a crew cab truck. This is the caliber of people i work with. Probably cost $250 round trip, easy, in fuel and tolls just to bring the truck back to look into the "mystery issue".
  24. This is the fun stuff i get to deal with on a daily baisis. That is the spout from a metal gas can, stuck in the gas fill of an F150. This model doesnt have a gas cap, so there is a little flap door that the nozzle would push out of the way when you insert the nozzle. Back story. Employee was in a car accident last week, so we allowed him to use one of the shop trucks to go back and forth to work. Sadly, if we didnt provide him transportation, he wouldnt come to work. On his way in yesterday, he saw that the truck was really low on gas, so instead of stopping at a gas station to put $10 worth of gas in it, he gets to work, takes a gas can off of a truck, and pours that gas in the truck. now the nozzle and can are stuck in the truck, its kinda like a chinese finger torture thing. it can go in, but cant come back out. Awesome.
