Conditions today where crunchy hardpack. It was actually better than i thought it might be though. things loosened up a little with traffic, but nothing real special. The trails survived the rain, but Exhibition is hanging on by a thread. the little bit of what was skiable in the trees took a beating pretty good. Fortunatly temps are on the way down, and there seemed to be some activity by the snowmaking crew. seems like its 2 steps forward, then 1 step backwards with this weather.

Pretty nice conditions this morning, pulled into the lot this morning at 8 am,and it was not crowded at all. cord early on, which loosened up into some nice soft snow. The glades are ok, you can ski about 1/4 of challenge glade, more if you dont like your bases. made about 20 runs on Challenge, Thunderbolt, Demattes and Exhibition, and by 11 am things where getting a little crowded. i left just after 11, and there was still a steady stream of vehicles rolling in even though the forecast for the balance of the afternoon was rain. Thunderbolt Challange Glade, still a little "sticky" Over all a nice morning, but things really need to get going over on east mountain, and the glades.

i would have to assume they have not done anything on east yet, right?

i thought there was something floating around about this over the summer.. i guess its final now. anyways, that seems to be good news.

look for a TR from this time last year from Moe, he went to Snowshoe when they were getting some decent snow.

really nice today. they blew snow on top of everything yesterday, which was a big benefit for today. challange glade is coming along, but still needs a little love as you need to pick your way through there in spots. met up with vinny for our last run as all of us where just about to leave at about 11.30. good snow day.

myself, Phillycore, and RidgeRacer should be there for a little while, this morning. easiest place to find us might be the top of one park lift. They check in at ski school at the top of each hour. Brown coat, green hood, blue jacket,brown pants and brown jacket black pants. shouldnt be too hard to find us at all.....lol.

Fun day for sure. made quite a few runs before a nice fried food lunch in the lodge, which wasnt crowded at all. after lunch we stopped over at the ski shop (AKA PC's XL7). Dom demoed the Nick Greeners in 190 cm. the slopes were pretty crowded after lunch, definetly more so than before lunch. left around 2 pm. good snow day. hope get as many guns going tonight as possible. we need more trails to open up. the glades really werent skiable for the most part. i could watch the battery level on my blackberry going down. am i supposed to have a check next to batt/perf for less battery consumption?

check the lukoil/dunkin doughnuts coupons. i think they have a bogo for everyday up until like the 23rd of December. Not positive, there was some funny verbage in there that i did not really need to pay attention to. i know the coupon is BOGO for Sundays.

i think it encourages people to throw garbage from the lift, in general. i cant understand how people feel throwing shit all over the place is acceptable. i think a well placed trash can at the top would accomplish much more.

snow making has started on freedom. its a start.

i find it funny because my parents did the same thing with me with their place in vermont. they bought it way after i was long gone from their house so it was much easier to do. i think they wanted to make sure they were not making a huge mistake or sometihing before they told me. i doubt you will regret buying it. Real estate is cool...

i think they are in on it as well, something like 3-6", and the possibility is always there for more.

Jordan - please make sure to blow enough snow this year to stay open past March 13th. Closing the same weekend as a resort in Pottstown, well.....we will just leave it at that. Put down some good snow in the glades, on the elevator and on risk it. The stuff off the slopes is what sets JF apart from other ski areas, so treat these areas just the same as any slope. Thanks

They are actually pretty good.....much more than an amatuer met. Like you said, so far his stuff has been pretty accurate, and doesnt overhype a small snowstorm.
