i think boulder will be ok friday, i dont think this is a big ski at Frost then head to Boulder type of crowd. more like ski at Frost then get drunk at the bar. i am hoping the weather will keep some people from making the journey.
-
any snow is good snow. i will take 2 inches of snow over 0 inches of snow anyday. right now it looks like LV and north will see the most out of this little storm. which is good, because i cant think of one good place to ski in cape may. what a waste for all that snow to be deposited on a beach. there may be a god....lots of talk like January will be cold, and favorable for snow. Hurricane schwartz has revised his "winter outlook" for what its worth.

first year instructor, and you are at Frost?....them's could be fightin' words.....lol
-
i think the first MMR day is more crowded, at the cardboard classic the slopes are usually baron of camo, but parking is a zoo. i may ski frost first thing Friday, if i drive up thursday night. kinda depends on the "winter weather" coming.
-
WMMR's day off on the slopes is friday. kinda gives new meaning to the word crowded and gaper-ish.
-
next week tues-wed could be interesting as well. hopefully friday leaves us with something.
-
glad to see you is back R2.

nice....thanks for the update. should be another great weekend.
-
turns out i dont have one of the supported blueberries. which is a bummer, cause this looks pretty neat. my phone is borderline archaic.

mom always said good grooming is important. glad to hear it wasnt a sheet of ice after the warm-up this weekend..
-
i hope so, but i thought temps were going to be on the mild side for the next week or so. it's skiable, todays temps made it a little softer, but the botoom can be an issue.
-
run of the day was one park glade. Challenge glade was nice too. Dom on the baller route down the elevator. good snow day.
-
el-oh-el.
-
whats up with the elevator? it looks like it has red-headed step child syndrome.....lol

Got the troops moving early and made it to Big Boulder about 8 am. empty parking lot, empty slpoes. real nice conditions all morning, we left at about 12:15. lift lines were starting to form. Big Boulder slope did not have any features on it, but it looked like love park was loaded with stuff. Parking lot was full when we left.

Guido said "they would be over shortly" a few days ago.

Frosty, Janes lane and Lehigh were all in great shape today as well. got there about 10:30, the line for the ticket window at the circle was out to the road. really crowded. good snow.
-
light crowds, i was really suprised as i thought it would be alot more crowded. i dont think we waited more than 3 minutes for a lift.
-
got there just after opening. met up with PA Ridge Racer about 10 am. great conditions, slopes were groomed up nice and provided some real nice loose snow after they were skied on some. Challenge Glade still had some nice powder in spots. E-glade and elevator were pretty nice, some nice powder in there, on top of some land mines. Risk it looks ok, but the landings gonna be rough. Good snow day, it was hard to leave a day that nice. rolled out about 1:30. JAHHDIP

you beat me to it and i posted another tr under a new topic, cause it took me forever to write it. i thought it was good.....just really ashame the wind blew off the top half of the slopes.
-
wind blown slopes with pockets of powder. much more crowded than i thought it might be. E-glade had tons of powder in it, problem is underneath is somewhat litterd with some pretty solid snow boulders. Roberts Run is more of the same. Challenge Glade was ok. Elevator is better, you can get a little further down before you have to bail out the side. i dressed like an astronaut.

Thank you.

last weekend from the lift it sure did look like it was getting a ton of snow on it. forgot to go check it out though. the glades are great, and they are really paying attention to them. But i feel like complaining: i am somewhat dissapointed with the elevator and elevator glade. just doesnt seen like its getting the love it got last year. theres no landing to the elevator what so ever. 2 quick turns and you have to ski off the side. you have to pick your way through the e-glade boulder field, needs more snow. this storm wasnt quite what we were hoping for. a little help Heather? Guido?

Risk it.
