This is the fun stuff i get to deal with on a daily baisis. That is the spout from a metal gas can, stuck in the gas fill of an F150. This model doesnt have a gas cap, so there is a little flap door that the nozzle would push out of the way when you insert the nozzle. Back story. Employee was in a car accident last week, so we allowed him to use one of the shop trucks to go back and forth to work. Sadly, if we didnt provide him transportation, he wouldnt come to work. On his way in yesterday, he saw that the truck was really low on gas, so instead of stopping at a gas station to put $10 worth of gas in it, he gets to work, takes a gas can off of a truck, and pours that gas in the truck. now the nozzle and can are stuck in the truck, its kinda like a chinese finger torture thing. it can go in, but cant come back out. Awesome.

Groundhog #2 for 2023 trapped. this is a photo from the WWW, since the one i caught committed suicide.

Supposedly VT got pretty fucked up on Sunday. Specifically Ludlow.

I saw that too. And its kind of interesting that there is all this talk about tubing moving across the street, but really there is so much for that to happen. I also kinda get why tubing gets some new snow shit. i think they make some pretty big dough on that, with no where near the resources needed to staff it vs the balance of the mountain.

Mines on. Not running much, but my second floor heats up pretty good if there is some afternoon sun, so gotta keep them temps down. Basement stays nice and cool even without the AC on. I cant stand being hot, so the couple bucks for electric to stay cool is more than worth it to me.

im lovin' it. last time i was in the Poconos 2-3 weeks ago, i had the heat on. however, i think its going to rain until July. Have no fear though, it will get hot and miserable at some point.

Thats pretty cool. i bet you could fucking freak some people out with the superman one. "911, whats your emergency?" "superman is real!!!!, and he is flying over my house!"
-
Saw this on the WWW last night, its the air quality index. this might put things into perspective somewhat.. It was 361 this morning. Poconos has dropped significantly to about 200, so things south should be improving soon. be interesting to see what this says later on today. I would also like to see what a normal June day is supposed to be for reference.

i put the most bizzare stuff out at my curb thinking theres no way someone will take it, but they did.

you will never ever hear me say, "im going to have a yard sale." I would rather go buy a whole bunch of good beer and light my shit on fire outside and make smores. Next time i move, im getting a huge dumpster. i threw so much out last time, and moving furniture just sucks. Next time, new house, new furniture.

First asshole groundhog entering the grounghog relocation program for 2023. really hoping he was a loner.

i will stick with them putting more guns up around the place over a diesel generator. I dont think they had that many times they were asked not to run stuff. i can kinda figure out what one of those fan guns take for power, but pumping water is another thing. i can only imagine it takes a huge amount of power to move 5000 GPM uphill, and with some type of pressure.

You guys act like KSL is going to start running this place with good desicions this quick? lol, lol. I dont know how it would be if it wasnt at least a little fucked up.

There was a post late season about them getting 20% newer fan guns and being able to open 50% of the terrain 75% faster. it was really kind of a funny post, mathmatecally it made no sense, and there was a post on here about it. it was like they got a math lesson from JFBB. Long story short, they made it sound like they were putting them on trails that are marked for early season. Early season is now a little different without the doubles, so, some on Homie stretch? Connector? Or they could all end up on Razors.

Yup. They suck. @Ski2Live Live2Ski

i am convinced, nobody ever drives by my house and says "oh wow, his mulch looks so good". In fact, im pretty sure people drive by my house and say "those arbovities look like huge penis's", due to the deer eating them. Im over the mulch as far as looks are concerned, but i do think it does keep some of the weeds down. I do have an area with landscape stone, and still have to pull weeds out of there. At my last house, i did the whole fabric thing, and then stone, and was good for a while, but then eventually it still would produce weeds.

Man, if you could have just gotten a pic of your bike leaning on stuff at Killington.......now that would have been badass. I guess its holding up pretty well, when we were there over easter, once the lift goes lookers right of the slope, the snow was pretty much level with the chairs. Kind of impressed K,J, and Bush were all open this weekend.

Insane weekend blue mt liftlines. Get it right.

There isnt much reasoning with a guy that buys an ex-cop car and thinks its "cherry", so dont bother. The only time we had a line was before the Summit Safari Super 6 pack Supreme was opened. i definetly skied more runs per day than i did last year, i feel like all the time there was barely a line at the new 6.

Sale of Indy Passes suposedly comes to a close tonight.

Kindly take it to the "Ski NY Easter Weekend" thread, and stop junking up my thread. Thanks.

Totally agree. what a great weekend, can hang the skis up and look back on the last 3 days and be pretty darn happy about ending my season on that note. FYI, Easter 2024 is March 31st. Magic is such a neat place. i really want to make a go of it again next year when they have more open, but damn it was some fun skiing yesterday, particullary anything that might have been considered a tad sketchy. It was a firm start, but the groomed runs were nice for the most part. Once the sun did its work, Tom headed off for some exploration and found " sketchy run #1, sketchy trees #1, and sketchy trees #2" which even with my legs being pretty beat up from the past 2 days, it didnt take much to convince me to check it out. Things were just soft enough, and im sure they would have been really soft in the afternoon, but we needed to make like a banana and split after a nice lunch on the deck with a view. The history behind Magic is a good read, and im still reading up on it. I wasnt aware the quad lift was installed quite a while ago, but has had one issue after another with a derailment, the haul rope, and some of the sheaves needing replaced, and since its been installed, i dont think it has had one person on it. Looking into the history of the place, they have never had good luck with the lifts there, the green one took like 15 years to get going. I think the place is built on an ancient indian burial ground, and they hate lifts for some reason. Also, the place went bankrupt in the 90's and was shut down for 5 years or so, so its hard not to root for the place coming back to life. I think the lady that sold me my ticket, also brought us our lunch. There is zero corporate at Magic, and there isnt much PC about the place. i love it.

Spent some quality time at the Bush today. Firm start on super bravo, but once gatehouse started loading we moved over there to find some really soft snow. Played in that area for a while, then went down to the base again to find a huge lineup at super bravo. Went back over to the other side after a run there. they had springfest today, and drew a big crowd. It was pretty busy. Sunny co ditikns all fay, but chillier than yeaterday. Another real nice day with the crew.
