  1. i figure its 6 months until boulder should be open. i would just like to get this god awful year over with, and be able to ski again.
  2. i really like what they are doing at frost, which is doing what they said they would, plus more. it comes down to the fact that they listen to what we have to say here, and are making it happen..keeps the customer coming back. so glad i bought my pass to JFBB. a high speed lift sure would be nice, but i am sure if they were to put one in, it wouldnt service east mountain, which is where i spend most of my time. i am just real happy about some new terrain to explore. glades are something new to me, so i definetly have something to work on for this season. if i had never met up with PC and PA ridge racer, i would have never really gotten to know the little nooks and crannies of frost. how's that big air bag lookin thing working out for blue? that looks like money well spent. keep up the good work JFBB!!
  3. i am taking that to mean big boulder slope, or boulder park. last time i drove thru the parking lot the three jumps were still there on big boulder, but pretty much everything else was looking pretty un-snow covered.
  4. you guys are the best!!
  5. mayday...nice.....more importantly, hows the elevator coming along?
  6. PE's are still stupid cheap from REI. http://www.rei.com/product/758421 seems to come and go though.
  7. this from a guy who posted conditions at frost as "cocaine snow". good luck with your site.
  8. put me in the "maybe" column.
  9. nope. i dont think anyone has ever doubted you about conditions at jack frost. just, sometimes a little odd.... "cocaine snow"?? come on now.
  10. pulled into a deserted parking lot at 8:15 to find Phillycore and Serch already booted up and headed towards the snow. everything was nice fresh soft cord. we met up on east mountain where we made quite a few real nice runs. from there we hit challenge, t-bolt, exhibition and one park, each for a few runs. by the time we made it back over to east mountain things were starting to really loosen up with piles of sugary snow. the last few runs PC and myself spent bombing exhibition wile Serch was practicing some moves in the park. east mountain was real nice early on, but conditions on challenge, t-bolt, exhibition, and one park were still real nice when we all left at about noon. i think there was about 25 people on the whole mountain. real nice last day at frost. 11. who's coming up for the last weekend at frost? i'm thinking i will be skiing the early session on saturday.
  12. that blows. check ebay everyonce and a while. great place to sell stolen merchandise.
  13. got to frost at about 8 am, empty parking lot, empty slopes. started at lehigh and made my way over to east mountain for a few runs. everything was groomed real nice. floyds was super fast. everything started to loosen up nice at after about 9 am. at about 9:30 i started making my way over towards frosty where i was pretty confident i would be able to locate phillycore, serch and PC jr jr.(zachery) sure enough there was PC with the young one in tow. hooked up with serch and we made our way over to east mountain for a few more runs before heading back to check zachery's progress. we stumbled across PA ridge racer as he was also passing on the skiing tradition to his daughter. we all made a run down powder puff to learn that PC's youngest also has a thirst for skiing in the trees. this time may have been somewhat accidental though. made anouther run or two and headed into the lodge for our season passholders party, and if i may say so myself, had a real nice spread put out for everyone with plenty of food for all. after a long discussion whether todays conditions were chalky powder, snow cone, or sticky granular, we all decided we would go back outside to put some on our gloves to take a closer look. sorry, no video. anyways, thats when we split back up, i made a few more runs and left at about 1:30. 14. top of east mountain, say 9:45 ish?
  15. who's coming up? where should we meet up? i am shooting for being there at 8am. i know PC is going to be lapping some of the easier slopes with PC jr jr. i think he will be pretty easy to find. PC, let me know what slope you will be starting out on, and i will meet you and Serch on the slope and we will take it from there. everyone meet at noon for lunch?
  16. thats not exactly the best news....
  17. things are looking pretty good for me on sunday. hopefully getting my weekend project done before the weekend. we'll hook up in the AM, (i think you might be pretty easy to find with the little one) We should come up with a time we all meet up for lunch, a little meet and greet with everyone that can make it up for hot dogs and beenie weenies. i am hoping it doesnt take too much arm twisting for Dom to make it out. Dom? Dom? you there?
  18. i will most likely be up sunday as well.
  19. the season pass party is sunday march 15th, not saturday. dont know how i got saturday in there earlier. that may work out better for me anyways.
  20. actually RSVP was due yesterday, the 9th. (i didnt even notice you had to RSVP) like sarah said, send them an email or phone today, and i bet they wont turn you down. RSVP by March 9, 2009 Reservations are a MUST! Please call 570-443-8425 extension 2070 or e-mail groupsales@jfbb.com
  21. saturday is also the season passholders "appreciation day" or whatever. season passholders get lunch, but can also get 2 guest lift tickets with lunch for $20 each. its actually a good deal considering i ate lunch at BB saturday and it was $9.50 for sandwich and fries.
  22. 12,000 people sounds kinda crowded.
  23. didnt mean to offend anyone. i just think 10,000 people is alot of people to be sharing the lifts with. i honestly have no idea how many people attend any mountain on any given weekend day.
  24. 10,000 people on the wekends? whoa. arent the lift lines kinda long? i think camelback would love to have 4000 people on a weekeday. and, oh yeah, isnt it camelback that is letting people ski for free now? theres a money maker for sure.
  25. i have a feeling they made more than $36000, but what do i know, i'm just an asshole from Philly who brought his own beer. kudos to JFBB for putting on such an event. crowded, yes, but well worth the price of admission.
