For this coming weekend, sure it would be neat to see them make some snow, but yeah, humidity looks high, and it doesnt look like it stays at like 27-28 degrees for very long each night. lets at least hope that cold around thanksgiving sticks around.

So this changed for the better for sure. right now it doesnt look like a huge window this weekend, but at least things are moving in the right direction.

The wave height sensor plays a huge role in this thing. Without it, really we just have a Chinese built, Russian traded, very heavy weather reporting machine. The problem is, the wave height sensor we have isnt calibrated in Centimeters, its calibrated in Meters, based on the fact that the Russians most likely stole it from the South China Sea, where wave heights are big. so we are trying to measure Beltsvilles tiny wave heights on a scale thats really just to big. @toast21602 pulled his hair out trying to adjust the algorithms to understand that something like .00569 M was in fact a real number and just getting it out 5 decimal places almost cost him one of his running trophies cause he almost missed a marathon.

The ever elusive fried cheese ball from Rofo. i dont think any of them have them anymore, and even back when we had to find them, they were crazy hard to find. This was almost a deal breaker. We even tried to get the Russians to substitute cheese balls for Pizza, and little Caesars at that. I guess they knew it is shit pizza too.

They should slow those chargers down as well, i mean, EV's are cool, but no where near as cool as making snow. When they used to do rolling blackouts in the winter, that made no sense to me, at least for homes with electric heating. lets shut the power down for a little while, then turn it back on after a while just to have your power consumption go to like 100% to get your heat back?

i believe that Killington was interrupted by the power co. shortly after they fired up last week or whenever it was, so its not just limited to Blue. The Poconos is filled with homes that have that super efficient electric baseboard heat. What would be interesting to take note of is the next time Blue is shut down for grid issues, is to see if Cameltoe, and JFBB are affected by it. But, also, who knows if those get power from the same grid. Maybe its just Palmerton thats fucked up. Well, i mean fucked up power grid.

definitely no hike park last year. Whatever they had last year, and i do kinda think it was along the lines of what you mentioned, was just enough. 6-8 hours a night of snowmaking takes fooooorrrreeeevvvveeeer to get some shit down. maybe the new shit they have will help with that, but i always thought the old shit would make more snow in marginal temps. notice i didnt say good snow.

That kinda went over your head. i see thats for palmerton, but i just dont see making snow for maybe 2 nights will amount to anything. So when you said, "lets go" i said "where, Killington?" because i dont think they will make any snow in Palmerton, or at least any snow that will be of any benefit - (kinda looks to get a little warm next week) But they have snow in Killington. Man made, but they are open, and making snow.

Where? Killington? Whats interesting is the humidity in our area when it does get cold. but i think that settles out some when daytime/nightime temps get closer to one another.

i dont believe in dong range forecasts, but i hope we start seeing some decent cold before Ski Friday. looks like the cold comes in after Thanksgiving. im ready to go skiing.
