  1. I had 2 walking around my deck yesterday around 2 pm, which is kinda odd, but they were not scared of me one bit. Even when i stepped off the deck to walk to the shed it wasnt concerned with me getting even closer. My neighbors throw out corn for them, which i despise, so this is probably a result of that.
  2. For sure. Most likely why i feel the need to spend money on some type of ski. Plus, new skis are always fun.
  3. Still like my daily drivers for Blue, been looking at some powder skis, because the farmers almanac says we are gonna get hammered this year with multiple 10" pow days.
  4. My guess is Hawk Falls, and yes it is 476.
  5. I sort of thought it would have looked more like this.
  6. Cut up a SFRB can, roll it around the spout and work it down to catch the latch and pull the spout out from the wrap.
  7. i do. i figure when i retire, i will put pen to paper and write a book. With the price of fuel, we have been really making an effort to leave trucks on jobs we are working on for multiple days. yet, there are still a bunch of grown ups that act like children. One guy has come up with "having an issue with his truck that needs to get looked at when he gets back" but he makes sure its not a big enough issue that the truck cant be driven back. He does this so he doesnt have to ride with other people in a crew cab truck. This is the caliber of people i work with. Probably cost $250 round trip, easy, in fuel and tolls just to bring the truck back to look into the "mystery issue".
  8. This is the fun stuff i get to deal with on a daily baisis. That is the spout from a metal gas can, stuck in the gas fill of an F150. This model doesnt have a gas cap, so there is a little flap door that the nozzle would push out of the way when you insert the nozzle. Back story. Employee was in a car accident last week, so we allowed him to use one of the shop trucks to go back and forth to work. Sadly, if we didnt provide him transportation, he wouldnt come to work. On his way in yesterday, he saw that the truck was really low on gas, so instead of stopping at a gas station to put $10 worth of gas in it, he gets to work, takes a gas can off of a truck, and pours that gas in the truck. now the nozzle and can are stuck in the truck, its kinda like a chinese finger torture thing. it can go in, but cant come back out. Awesome.
  9. Groundhog #2 for 2023 trapped. this is a photo from the WWW, since the one i caught committed suicide.
  10. Supposedly VT got pretty fucked up on Sunday. Specifically Ludlow.
  11. I saw that too. And its kind of interesting that there is all this talk about tubing moving across the street, but really there is so much for that to happen. I also kinda get why tubing gets some new snow shit. i think they make some pretty big dough on that, with no where near the resources needed to staff it vs the balance of the mountain.
  12. Mines on. Not running much, but my second floor heats up pretty good if there is some afternoon sun, so gotta keep them temps down. Basement stays nice and cool even without the AC on. I cant stand being hot, so the couple bucks for electric to stay cool is more than worth it to me.
  13. im lovin' it. last time i was in the Poconos 2-3 weeks ago, i had the heat on. however, i think its going to rain until July. Have no fear though, it will get hot and miserable at some point.
  14. Thats pretty cool. i bet you could fucking freak some people out with the superman one. "911, whats your emergency?" "superman is real!!!!, and he is flying over my house!"
  15. Saw this on the WWW last night, its the air quality index. this might put things into perspective somewhat.. It was 361 this morning. Poconos has dropped significantly to about 200, so things south should be improving soon. be interesting to see what this says later on today. I would also like to see what a normal June day is supposed to be for reference.
  16. i put the most bizzare stuff out at my curb thinking theres no way someone will take it, but they did.
  17. you will never ever hear me say, "im going to have a yard sale." I would rather go buy a whole bunch of good beer and light my shit on fire outside and make smores. Next time i move, im getting a huge dumpster. i threw so much out last time, and moving furniture just sucks. Next time, new house, new furniture.
  18. First asshole groundhog entering the grounghog relocation program for 2023. really hoping he was a loner.
  19. i will stick with them putting more guns up around the place over a diesel generator. I dont think they had that many times they were asked not to run stuff. i can kinda figure out what one of those fan guns take for power, but pumping water is another thing. i can only imagine it takes a huge amount of power to move 5000 GPM uphill, and with some type of pressure.
  20. You guys act like KSL is going to start running this place with good desicions this quick? lol, lol. I dont know how it would be if it wasnt at least a little fucked up.
  21. There was a post late season about them getting 20% newer fan guns and being able to open 50% of the terrain 75% faster. it was really kind of a funny post, mathmatecally it made no sense, and there was a post on here about it. it was like they got a math lesson from JFBB. Long story short, they made it sound like they were putting them on trails that are marked for early season. Early season is now a little different without the doubles, so, some on Homie stretch? Connector? Or they could all end up on Razors.
  22. Yup. They suck. @Ski2Live Live2Ski
  23. i am convinced, nobody ever drives by my house and says "oh wow, his mulch looks so good". In fact, im pretty sure people drive by my house and say "those arbovities look like huge penis's", due to the deer eating them. Im over the mulch as far as looks are concerned, but i do think it does keep some of the weeds down. I do have an area with landscape stone, and still have to pull weeds out of there. At my last house, i did the whole fabric thing, and then stone, and was good for a while, but then eventually it still would produce weeds.
  24. Man, if you could have just gotten a pic of your bike leaning on stuff at Killington.......now that would have been badass. I guess its holding up pretty well, when we were there over easter, once the lift goes lookers right of the slope, the snow was pretty much level with the chairs. Kind of impressed K,J, and Bush were all open this weekend.
  25. Insane weekend blue mt liftlines. Get it right.
