  1. Let us know how the new lift is coming along.
  2. truth. at first you are like "its not that loud". 2 hrs later, you are like WTF.
  3. Both times i went to Dover, traffic down and back were horrible. The worst was leaving Sunday, we figured lets fire up the grill and wait a while for everyone to leave. It looked like a great big staring contest, cause everybody had the same idea, then we got fucked with Shore traffic coming home. We did park in one of the event lots. Pocono usually makes 115 going to the track one way in the morning, and then leaving they make it 2 lane again heading out. this is what fucks up everybody that lives near there, they cant get to the walmart easily. 1 day of the year. (now). Everytime i left pocono it was easy breezy. but we did stay after the race both times. One time i stayed in a camper in the infield. i dont remember shit from that weekend.
  4. Thats really all that matters. plus hearing some vroom vroom noises. Dover is a great race to go to, and there are even smaller tracks that i am sure will provide an even better view. Standing basically on the fence at Dover, watching 40 cars go into turn 1, i was like, "there is no fucking way everybody is coming out in one piece after that turn." Its nuts. Probably why the pay scale is fairly high. Pocono has traffic figured out, Dover traffic blows.
  5. years back i went to the June race, it was like 50 degrees the week of, then 90 and brutal sun on Sunday. everybody got burnt to a crisp. It wasnt the best time, but im a huge pussy about being hot. We sat kinda low, (my friend bought the tickets) but we were real close to pit road so that was cool. But yeah, its really not the most spectacular race to go to. Like if you had one race to go to in your life, and choose Pocono, you would have made a bad decision. there are alot of other tracks that are waaaaay better to watch. Every race is a big tailgate, but tailgating at Pocono is equal to the race.
  6. I didnt even think about the race, as i am heading up, since it will be so much cooler up there than MALVERN. Race will be brutal to say the least.
  7. good god, this weekends weather looks horrible. When they break out the red thermostat, you know its just no good. @Schif dont be going and playing with the thermostat. leave it alone.
  8. Afternoon storms havent been super impressive, except for like Harrisburg. seems like they have been getting them, then they kinda fizzle out as they head east. Those pop up showers are so hit or miss though.
  9. thank you. for just a few minutes there i was suffering from FOMO.
  10. i barely do FB, can someone screenshot or give the cliffnotes, so im not completely in the dark?
  11. Of all the people here, you are probably the one that i assume could dispose of nuclear waste. I just needed to bust your balls since its a slow PASR day. toss the seat, and get to work on your 1968 hall double chair. if you insist upon still trying to give it away, i suggest jazzing it up with some my little pony stuff.
  12. Have you really looked at those pics? its all busted the fuck up. @mbike-ski trying to get someone to cart away his garbage. Besides, a true Blue Mt. "Brat" would have lawn chairs in the back.
  13. someone is going to need to show me where/what this thing is. i like to think i am fairly aware of things, but i have no idea what you guys are talking about.
  14. I think they are moving along ok, maybe not setting the world on fire but seeing some really big holes in the ground is a very good thing. But of course, those holes are probably the easiest ones to dig and access. I think the big thing for making this all work, is when the concrete for the towers goes in the ground. I am pretty sure there will need to be significant cure time on the concrete before they can set towers on them. Like maybe a month or so. Keep in mind, since the main street and burma lifts are gone, and those chairs all sold off, not completing this on time will be the mother of all fuck ups.
  15. See? That my little pony stuff is so hot right now. I would like to think i helped jump starting that trend. years ago i painted a friends truck by mixing every little bit of leftover paint we had lying around. It came out just a little darker than that purple. Totally custom.
  16. We got a fiber line once by pounding in a stake at the end of someones driveway we just paved. You would actually be amazed at how often a utility isnt where its supposed to be, or buried shallow. the most popular one is parking lot lights that have outdoor UF just buried shallow behind curbs. we nail them all the time. Things start to get interesting when you have to evacuate a building after hitting a gas line, and then of course the FD shows up, cops, etc. kind of turns into a big thing.
  17. Even if you never sat on it, it would look cool just hanging from a tree.
  18. Personally, i like when they are hung from something. The ones sitting on legs, i get it, but mehh. If you need help decorating it, let me know. The skis i designed were a big hit. Very fashionable.
  19. https://liftblog.com/2022/05/29/new-snowbird-tram-cabin-damaged-during-installation/ Watch the tram car please. https://publish.twitter.com/?query=https%3A%2F%2Ftwitter.com%2FPAdamFrancis%2Fstatus%2F1532031610870042624&widget=Tweet
  20. we need some "insider information" really hoping to see some big holes being dug soon.
  21. You cant control these by now? WTF?
  22. Oh yeah, i think they had some type of sundae bar, i didnt really pay attention to it, as much as i like desserts. they had some baller bread pudding though. I'm not sure if the sundae bar was a huge hit, as it was a "adult only" reception, which is another thing i found to be pretty awesome about the whole thing. The cake was sliced up and put into to go bags. Weddings sure have changed alot over the past years.
  23. I didnt take any bathroom selfies, but the wedding i went to Friday night was such a good time. The Church didnt burst into flames since i was there, (kind of the running joke) Cocktail hour was filled with the best horsey-duvers, there was an italian end and a seafood end for plated food.....lobster tails, mussels marinara, little necks, calamari, and lobster mac. I kinda looked at the whole thing and was like, i kinda remember filling out a dinner card, but this looks like dinner, but with tiny plates. Beer selection was odd, but ok, people are really into the seltzers. the weather was stellar, and the after party was outside on the patio after the reception, of course, with more food. Best part is, it was probably 1/2 a mile from my house.
  24. All of that makes sense too. the chairs are actually in pretty decent shape, unlike the painted, repainted, and painted 5 more times BB chairs.
