I think they deserve a little more credit for their early season stuff than we give them credit for. Not sure what year it was, not too long ago, we had opening day, and then after that all melted, they had opening day 2.0 like a month + later. I will be critical of Blue like everybody else, but i have never felt they lacked in the early season snow department.

I was sort of wondering if this is where they may end up in this situation. The only thing i was thinking about this scenario was they would need to have whatever trails they have snow on be accessible from both lifts, since we all know the reliability of the quad and 6 arent quite 100%. And @GrilledSteezeSandwich has a valid point with the snowmaking on sunny delight or whatever that trail will be called this year.

Thanks for that insider info.

wtf. how do i add it to the leather wallet?
-
i did actually bug them when i heard of the first batch going around, they said i was "in the next group" which probably translates to "we hope you forget about this"
-
As do i, but im still waiting on my $50 credit or whatever that was supposed to come with my pass renewal.
-
I keep seeing pics of them making snow, but making no progress as they are proving that snow does melt.

i would agree with the "if shit was onsite laying around", then its a concrete curing issue, or manpower issue. From a contractors point of view, im still going with they know what they are doing, and understand the timeline, etc. Basically, im trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, i know first hand that everybody behind a keyboard knows how to handle, and complete the project better than any contractor. Im not sure how much "supply chain" this can be blamed on. This project has most likely been going on behind the scenes for a year. Im getting used to things taking longer than normal, right now i have orders for trucks and trailers that are 6-8 months out. So, at the minimum, we knew this lift was going in 8-ish months ago, so i guess my point is, if they tore main/burma down without knowing if all their stuff was going to show up on time, then that might be a mistake on their part.

This is all accurate. As far as operations with snowmaking, they hit the mark 97% of the time. Lift ops, customer service type stuff can be hilarious at times, the shop is on point as well. Dont forget ski patrol dropping ropes on slopes that are solid ice. But to your point, yeah, i mean where else will you ski, with someone skiing on a season pass that doesnt work, but with a hand written note that says "good to go". If they truly ironed everything out, what fun would that be?
-
Exactly. The lift at Toe that rides right over all that shit just keeps me thinking im skiing at Sesame place.
-
Just when you think this is the year they get it together…….. in all seriousness, what fun would this place be if they did? i mean cameltoe could do everything right, but the whole water park in the middle of a ski area will just always be reminiscent of a circus.

its really bothering me they didnt proof read that well after they cut -n- pasted.

Where is this taken from?

And in true Blue Mt fashion, the cams now are not access able. at least for me.

This is most likely it. I forgot to use my sarcastic font, but i wasnt expecting anything earth shattering.

Some big news this week? Oh man, i cant wait. i did find this comment interesting though. Not that it pertains to us, but i was really looking forward to the shit show that will ensue with paid parking.

Stunning will be when it has some my little pony stuff on it.

I should actually say the strip just doesnt appeal to me. It just kind of seems to be repetitive. Like, it just repeats itself every 300 feet or so. casino, strip joint, hot dog stand, t shirt shop, spencers gifts, casino, strip joint, hot dog stand, spencers gifts........ Everything we did, we did outside of the strip. There was almost no reason for us to be staying on the strip, but i guess when you go to Vegas, thats what you do. Its just a little over the top for me.
