looks like we are going to have the best winter. I mean, really, it looks like we will win winter like 92% to 6%. looks like we are right in between "worst of storms" and "huge snowstorms"

Im no longer interested in this thread. Since it will be business as usual for the first year, it wont be on the Ikon pass this year.

138 new snowmaking thingy-mobobbies for this year. Thats some serious shit right there. so after 75 get used up on Raisins, that still leaves quite a few to spread around for the lower tier individuals like myself. And Comet got a whole bunch of new electronics, and sheeves, that will probably in the end render it completely useless, but at least they are trying to fix some of its issues. i will say this, they arent shy on spending money on the place. But, its really probably all the green they pulled in with the paid parking.

i wonder if they are they guys that bought Elk.
-
did you stop at Scotto's pizza and check out spencers gifts while you were at the mall?
-
yup. they wrapped up Killington, so onto Elk. https://www.killington.com/the-mountain/sustainability-community/insider-blog/killington-pico-sold-to-local-investors

honestly part of me wanted to see it linked from over on alpozone, or kzone forums.

But you didnt pick up on the fact that i spelled Alterra wrong? i was going to retype all of the lines so the font matched, which i spent way too much time trying to find one close, but then someone came in with home made cookies so i just wrapped it up.

rumor circulating Killington was sold. Just like Elk. i heard it was a package deal, but first powdr had to aquire Elk through a shell company, becuase the Moores would never "sell out" to the big corporations. Alterra is the buyer.

I would replace that brake for your vehicle with whatever i could find around laying my garage using flex seal, duct tape or super glue. For some reason i think i have heard people using some springs and stuff off of rat traps. not those dinky mouse traps, but those really big rat traps. hope that helps.

always use protection.

was there some internet chatter about it? i just actually assumed it was just going around here, and was only for someones entertainment.

looks like big rumor. Congrats to whoever started it.

i heard traffic was extra fucked up. also heard it was sold out, and skirmish had a big event. The couple times i went, we were there by like 9, grilled up some breakfast and drank beer. then watched the race. then grilled some more, and left at like 9pm. Traffic pretty much around any nascar race is a shit show. Try Dover. Backs up for miles from the track at like 9 am. you should have camped out. you have a tent dont you?

i found this over at Alpo Zone. i think this is a $99 ticket, for 2 days. 1 day is anytime, and the 2nd day is for after April 1st. if that is truly the case, thats a screaming deal. Jump on it if you arent Ikonic. https://shop.sugarbush.com/s/lift-tickets/multi-pack-tickets/p/tbd-2425

because American Airlines, and United doesnt care that southwest gives 2 free bags.

it sounds like its better than it was a year ago or so, but they were in such bad shape, it might be a pretty easy thing to say "things are better". its like starting last in a race.....easy to go forward.

i saw a post where maybe they closed the road because of a large crack, and then the next day road gone.

Sunday, a little Magic. Still love this place, but really want to hit it with more open. above freezing overnight, so, some firm stuff with a little Blue Mountain type cookies, which softened up pretty fast. Very similar to last year as to what was open. A few groomed runs, and some fun spicy snow, grass, rocks with a few drainage pipe crossings mixed in. Got warm real quick, and that made the run outs real slow, and pretty grabby by 1 pm. Got to ride the black lift. Had a nice burger at the BLT. On the road now.

Saturday, sugarbush. Sometime in the middle of the night @Johnny Law showed up. He headed to the resort a little earlier than us, as we were thinking 10:30 to let some stuff soften up. Firm-ish conditions up top, with softer stuff towards the bottom. The sun started doing its thing and softening stuff up that was in the sun, shady stuff was just a little pokey, but getting there. 1 pm we met up with jeffs buddy nick for some nice laps at castlerock. Terrain at CR was a little limited, selective at times, but still went. Big fun bumps with a good collection of rocks mixed in. Finished off the day with a few runs off heavens gate, ran till just after 3pm or so. sugarbush rocks, sugarbush skied well, and has real nice coverage. That was a pretty energetic day, as even @NMSKI said he was pretty much drained.
