The only issue with that is if 4 people are buying tickets, coming in the same car, all 4 people paid to park one car. big money maker, but thats not quite right either. i heard the guy that wears the full face helmet, was told by the tye-dye skier dude (#1 Blue Mt fan on FB), who heard Cecily Teinan was going to become a regular Blue Mt skier (since the lifts at JF are out of control these days) but then recanted that decision, because she was told by Gerald that the price of season passes were going to go up to pay for the new lift. Paid parking will go towards paving @RidgeRacer's parking spot. If that doesnt work out, i will start a go-fund me for it.

It seems like pay to park is becoming popular at ski joints everywhere. that being said, no reason to jump off the covered bridge just yet cause some guy on the lift told someone blue is gonna charge for parking. I do see some logistical issues with this though. (1) i dont know how they can do this with the traffic issues they already have. (2) pay to park to go to the ski shop? (3) pay to park to go to the fancy summit restaurant thingy?

Employees is what really gets me. -
Not positive what kind of snow you like for XC, but i would call the snow up there dust on crust. Had a few little bursts of snow on top of frozen snow, sort of ice-like.

Great skiing Sunday, and yeah, upper main was 11/10. Food fest was on point as always. -

i dont think so, but really its all kind of relative, i think Bear, and Roundtop are 100%. Not sure what Shawnee is but Blue does have a significant more amount of acreage to cover.

They should send Vail a Christmas card thanking them for not opening tubing and JFBB.

Buoy is bouncing around for the 25th, and the 31st. This one looks like she is sliding off the coast more. Saturdays thing is going out to sea as well. Seems to be a pattern there.

looks like its flurrying really hard. Its raining in MALVERN. i will be super surprised if we see any snow here.

Didnt they put up the standard "experts only" sign?

i agree with every thing above. i thought the new trail would be awesome, and they would end up running the quad more. Not running the quad in place of the 6. I only get on the quad to ride that trail, or of course unless they are not running the 6. Each time i get on the quad, i say to myself, "are ya feeling lucky?" like, is this lift ride gonna be worth skiing coming soon? They are just gonna have to take their lumps on social media for people complaining they cant ride the new trail, since they are running the 6 only. Run the 6 and the quad both on weekends.

you and i both know JF should have been 100% open a week or 2 ago. The place just simply isnt that big. They made a shit ton of snow to open, but have been on holiday ever since.

I love the multi pass, but the way Vail is managing their resorts is, just like you said, bad for everybody except Vail. I really dont think i want to participate in the Epic pass next year for the simple reason i dont want to fund the company putting the fucks to skiers. Unfortunately, lots of people dont have that option, like if any of Vails resorts in PA are your home mountain. no brainer, you need to buy their pass, like it or not. I dont think Vail sees a huge drop in pass sales next year. I dont think they will get their shit together either. just send out more apology letters and videos, and tell people next year snow will fall from the sky in huge quantities at all their mountains, and unicorns will be in charge of making snow.

Looks like they are running it now. They need to exterminate whatever gremlin is living in that thing.

Remember the last time JF was run properly, and a great place to ski? Do you remember the daily lunch special? i think it was like "Mrs Martys" lunch or whatever? It was like shepherds pie, lasagna, or Chicken pot pie? Skitwolive would have written a 4 page essay about that.
-
yep, and i think it has been proven, that if you like your home mountain, it pays off in spades for Vail not to buy it. We would still be riding the main street chair at this time. And, all you guys eat waaaay too much fast food. lol.

What was going on sidewinder? one can only assume it will be ready for the weekend?
-
You should always describe the trails, it goes without saying. i mean, this is a skiing forum after all, with a weird fetish for pics of food.

The buoy is located in one of the more "trashy" (for lack of a nicer term) areas in the lake. with the contaminates there, it rarely actually freezes. it get slushy, but unless its like below 15 degrees for a week or so, it wont freeze.
-
Sneaky snow like Wed PM/Thurs AM. Models are coming around to the Buoys idea of some snow over the weekend. Lets not go gassing up the snowblowers just yet, but you may want to reconsider making that hair styling appointment over the weekend.

The only way to ensure you score some fine ski fare, is to bring your own personal chef. IE, @enjoralas Note that the trail report is as long as the cafeteria report.

This is very well documented information, im not sure why you are telling me this.
