I'm super surprised to see that you arent on the streaming bandwagon, and have some type of device made up of an old cordless cell phone, a router, and some duct tape to do your phone over the internet. You are paying more to Blue Ridge than i pay to Ooma, ATT TV, Verizon, and Blue ridge combined.

At least they got the propulsion system correct. not that second class diesel stuff.

So basically the Tmobile router is all Wifi? not wired? I just switched to Fios from Comcast like 2 months ago. My 2 year deal was up, and they really raised the rate. I called to see what we could work out, but apparently when i called "i didnt speak to the right person." Only after i set up Fios to be installed, and i called comcast to stop the service, did they offer me something that would have made me keep Comcast. I have had Fios before, but man, the Fios router is pretty awesome. The wifi in my house is superior to what i had before, with my motorola router. I really thought buying my own router was the way to go, but my first one flaked out, so i had to buy another. Sort of made renting a router look kind of like a wash. I have Blue Ridge up in the Poconos, and again, lowest speed, and it does what i need it to do. One thing i will give Blue Ridge the thumbs up on is customer service. Once my internet was down, called them, i think they figured out it was the modem, and the lady i was talking to said "i can have someone there in about a half hour." On a Saturday.

It looks like pvc drainage pipe, but…….. what would they be doing with drainage pipe? lets remember this is Blue Mountain. could just be a green coating on steel pipe. Anyways, interesting.

Drill a pilot hole in them before screwing them in.

if the decking is stained, i really dig that color. looks sharp.
-
no, hit it with like the 80 grit, then 120-160, then stain it.
-
sort of depends what is left of the stain, and how the wood looks. pressure washing tends to raise the grain in the wood. 80 would probably be a good place to start, belt sanders are pretty aggressive. Make sure all of the nails or screws on the deck are recessed before firing up Mr Scratchy, or you might cut the belt. After an aggresive grit, something like 120 or even a little higher will make the wood real nice and smooth. Should look brand new if you are putting this kind of work into it.

You get to drive that? WTF? i wanna drive that.
-
Does your hand still feel like it has a sander attached to it?
-
Perfect! I think i can adjust the bindings to fit your BSL. I will let you try them out first.

Oh, i forgot to mention i saw a pic on FB where someone used skis in place of the wood slats. I thought that was pretty cool. So i have at least 2 pairs of skis i would spread around if anyone wanted to go that route. I hate throwing skis away, always been thinking of how to repurpose them.

Are you driving with this thing attached to your truck? If so thats 2 things. Bad ass and totally redneck.
-
I think your tongue weight would be fine, but just for shitts and giggles, anybody know how much a chair weighs? If you didnt have a tailgate we could easily make it fold up into the bed, at least in my mind.

for the quick, down and dirty approach, spending some coin on POR15 products might pay off. https://por15.com/ I dont think they have alot of top coat colors though. but they do sell some stuff in spray cans. worth it? ehh, i dont know, but i have used the brush on stuff on some car frames that seems to hold up superior to the rustoleum rust converter stuff i tried. You want to attach it to the truck? explain further.

This is what i would do. Maybe an epoxy coating. Personally i would just slap a coat of paint on it, and hang it up, or put wheels on it so it can be wheeled around the inside of your house or whatever. What i would spend the most time doing, is making sure water cant get inside the metal and lay there. i might go as far as to drill a few holes on the underside of any of the tubing to make sure if water got in, water could get out. I have a buddies scaffolding leaning up against my shed, which has been there since 2007 since i built the addition on my house. of course the scaffolding is no longer wanted, and i wish it would return itself to the earth, but its not. So, i mean i get it, steel rusts, but its not gonna just fall apart overnight. Plus, old steel is good steel. New steel is garbage.
-
oh. That would put me on pills.
-
What are you sanding with? I never found a really grate way to do it. I wanted to sand my deck real well before staining it again, but just ended up running a pole sander over it to remove the loosest of stain.
-
Thats called patina. in all seriousness, i could build a brand new chair, but whats the point? No history, no ones ever ridden on it, no nothin. Having some bumps and bruises adds character imo.
-
Are you planning on taking it to some ski lift chair shows? Bondo would fill it all in, but i just cant see going through all of that work, but sometimes my lack of patience gets the best of me. Personally i would throw some POR-15 over it and call it a day. A little bit of paint on that and it will outlast you by years.

I would try to do a flyover, but my helicopter is in the shop to have the footprint gas pedal installed.
-
disappointing that they arent recycling the trees.

we do a shitload of work in that area. There is one site up there where the drainage for the building and parking lot is this maze of underground pipes. Its an engineering disaster as there have been sinkholes there that could swallow trucks. the last i heard the one corner of the building was starting to crack due to whats going on underneath. We were stockpiling materials at the job because we were there so often filling holes back in.

I wonder if @toast21602has put wheels on his yet so he can wheel it around inside the house.
