  1. Are you planning on taking it to some ski lift chair shows? Bondo would fill it all in, but i just cant see going through all of that work, but sometimes my lack of patience gets the best of me. Personally i would throw some POR-15 over it and call it a day. A little bit of paint on that and it will outlast you by years.

I would try to do a flyover, but my helicopter is in the shop to have the footprint gas pedal installed.

disappointing that they arent recycling the trees.
  4. we do a shitload of work in that area. There is one site up there where the drainage for the building and parking lot is this maze of underground pipes. Its an engineering disaster as there have been sinkholes there that could swallow trucks. the last i heard the one corner of the building was starting to crack due to whats going on underneath. We were stockpiling materials at the job because we were there so often filling holes back in.
  5. I wonder if @toast21602has put wheels on his yet so he can wheel it around inside the house.
  6. I do too, i mean the amount of time i spend in a store is minimal. I never go to a store to just look around. i know why im going in, and i dont need to be in there any longer than necessary. I've said it before, the whole mask thing just isnt a huge deal. The whole unvaccinated people still having to wear masks in stores is kind of a joke, in respect to the fact it leaves the decision making up to those individuals.
  7. When buying gas? Yes/no? i value your opinion here.
  8. There are some posts on FB with just how fucked up Blue will be this year. I fail to see how anybody knows how this is going to go based on how tight lipped everyone is about whether this was a land grab, or a management deal. I just dont see the sense in getting worked up over it, when we know, basically, nothing.
  9. yup, and when you sort of think about it, improving the grooming could possibly be their biggest bang for the buck. like you said, they have the equipment, and from what i know, pretty good equipment too.
  10. I sort of refuse to get uptight about the things i have no control over, or hope for things that wont come true, so i will be in a wait and see approach on this. I guess we will see some activity over the next few months, since "they are going to infuse it with a lot of cash". We will see. Hopefully they do correct some things, and my first pick would be bringing the grooming up to a better level, since what we sometimes have is just basically dangerous. I would like to see this addressed long before a lodge remodel, or paving.
  11. Henderson said the entrance of Vail in Carbon County also has been a positive at the two ski areas, which hadn’t received much investment in prior years. hmmm, some might disagree.
  12. I was under the impression they liked to buy stuff, but their website says “property management”, so i think what you got from your smoke signals is probably correct. Should be another interesting year!
  13. I guess im still waiting for clarity, i dont feel like they really offered that much info. They said Blue is under new management. So, did they buy it? 100%? Or did Barb hold the land, and they are truly just managing it?
  14. Same, and i had my AC on last week or whatever.
  15. Well this does say the green ridge triple is getting replaced, but no word on recycling it here in PA. https://www.skimag.com/news/vail-resorts-ski-lift-upgrades-2022/?fbclid=IwAR3dOgyYxniT0SJtUOGZ3kQUxZS880YwP9NNcveHGoPTDC_PL8hsPTeIiFg
  16. So on the ski the east page people are saying KSL did “buy” Blue to some extent. Lots of people with “insider info”. entertainment for now, i will be over here waiting for something more substantial than some FB stuff. Or when ride de posts up. if you are bored, find this post and read some comments.
  17. I think you have a few more years before thats a thing for you. You should probably schedule that with your colonoscopy.
  18. My co-workers wife has been messed up since she got Covid first week of April. Check back in a month, let us know how you are doing.
  19. i got my second shingles shot late january or beginning of feb, and yeah, i got sick too. just really for one day though. i thought they were really playing it up when they said i might get sick. nothing after my first shingle shot though.
  20. But you have a little card that says you do right? Crazy. not sure why they would be such a pain in the ass with the bum rush for the vaccine being over. Were u able to get a shot close by?
  21. Perfect.
  22. What i find to be weird about the Pocono market is the snow tubing. I asked this question a few months ago in the lot. name resorts outside of PA that do tubing. We couldnt come up with one. I sure there probably is, but it wasnt rolling off the tip of anybodys tongue. And i disagree, i dont think Vail knows exactly what they are doing with JFBB. I think they look at a map of their resorts from their office in CO, and ask, what the fuck are we doing running 2 resorts within a mile of one another, when all we really want is people to buy our pass?
  23. I will take that bet. Anybody else? I dont disagree that night skiing is a money maker, or that Lake Harmony is a tourist destination. But, i think you have to agree that they left a huge amount of money on the table not having tubing. And what is considered a money maker to an independent operator, could be way different to what Vail feels is a money maker. I dont think Vail really cares that the Pocono area relies on BB for the tourism industry.
  24. I dont think Vail gives two fucks about filling a regional night skiing need. Just my worthless 2 pennies, tho. I lean towards the side that BB doesnt open this year. They had a terrible time getting employees, they didnt even open tubing at either location. I mean, tubing? make some snow, spin some weird ass little tow rope thing, pay 4 employees, air up some tubes, and count money. Tubing is so popular in the Poconos.....i guess because the truly talentless people from NY/NJ can do it.
  25. Thats what i’m saying,....without saying it, since the lift relocation might be a rumor. all those degrees you got, and you give them five years? Man thats being really generous.
