Ehh.....not really impressed by that tomorrows deal, but maybe. who knows.
-
The Sunday thing is starting to show up a little again. Definitely not a repeat of last week though.
-
Please do. Love 'em.

Its because snowblowers are cool. This one sings.

i forgot this, but it was there Tuesday morning, and if i had to take a guess, this is why Challenge, Falls, Sidewinder, etc were not groomed Tuesday, not because they wanted us to experience western like conditions.
-
And no, thats not the TR i was thinking of. I swear it was you. would have bet money on it. Has anybody else here skied the slides?
-
Damn. that takes skill. Nice work.

You actually can find the dimensions on the internet as well, but there you are putting your faith in the internet, but when you cant physically touch the belt, thats the best you can do. Correct. Most of what i do is figuring out how to make things work with what i can get my hands on right then. The belt for Toasts blower is 35 1/4" X 1/2. It shouldnt be that hard to find one locally that "will work". These belts are set up to slip when not engaged, so i'm starting to put my money on the belt.

up until this point i thought you were the one guy that has skied the slides. I swear i remember a TR years back where you and Nico skied them.

Most CEL's are for emissions, but it is likely monitoring for misfires, oil pressure, etc, but my knowledge of the Chevy Shitsonic are limited, and since its a budget car, it may just do the minimum the government calls for as far as emissions. I can tell you when a CEL comes on in a newer Mack truck, it will at some point derate the engine and pretty much render it useless. I take those very seriously.

Yep, BM SP makes no sense at times. Do they check all the woods for obstacles that are no longer restricted? LOL.
-
Yeah, ok, so whats going on (most likely) is the engine spins a belt, or 2 that makes it "go", and spins the "spinny thing" to quote BenM. Pulling the handle engages a pulley that makes those things work. If the handles arent engaged, the belt is either not moving, or just spinning around an idler pulley. I would agree with Ben, sort of sounds like you have a disconnect somewhere between the handle and pulley, which might be the cable or a bracket. If this is the case, its very likely we can get around this with some shade tree mechanics. (my specialty).

But then it was like they were giving people shit for going down coming soon. Makes no sense.

Oh, and my neighbor across the street was running his snowblower up my other neighbors driveway when he got a hold of some chicken wire she had up around some bushes. Ever seen”daddys home 2” when will farrell sucks up the christmas lights with the snowblower? my neighbors blower doesnt spin anymore either.

I learned that today as well at home.

Too late.

Damn, such a good day. I think the overnight snow was a little lighter than what we had for monday. No real lift issues today, i think we got going just after 9, so that was an improvement from yesterday. Skied around a lot, and got some real nice turns. Dom on coming soon. Gives you an idea of how wide this trail actually is. sloppy seconds wernt bad, at least in this case. bumps the size of volkswagons on falls when we left. Fun stuff. hopefully we get a refill this weekend.

No, seriously, it was groundhog day. Fucking awesome. More later.

Purple banana! Bring it on.

Sitting in the lot. Snowing pretty good.

Six is at least spinning now.

People need to stop going to the other 3 in the area if they dont want more built. The one out on 940 by me always has a full parking lot. And why people around here need to go to Walmart when its snowing is beyond me.

Yup, this is why we do dumb things like drive when people say to stay of the roads. Razors was magical first run, and its been a while that we have the powder luxury. Sucks for the lift shenanigans in the morning, I knew since Main Street chair was open for a while before the quad, the trail over there that typically doesnt see much traffic was gonna be found out, so Mbike, Glenn and myself stuck to Razors, Challenge, Coming soon, Side, and then 2 runs through the trees at Lazy. 2nd time at the trees we dropped in further up on Tuts, and surfed some turns down to the glade. Good coverage, but there is some weird terrain in there cause i guess we were actually on a bike path. Blue had posted on FB ways back coming soon would open with natural snow. i mean, i guess technically they are the ones that get to decide when its open, but they really already had put the wheels in motion back in December when the basically said it could be skied with natural snow. its a moot point now, but i doubt anybody would lose a pass over it. maybe get a firm talking to, but no loss of pass.

534 in the AM going down the hill suuuuucked. As soon as i got on it i knew it was gonna be sucksville. a plow had just gone past, so it was like an inch of packed snow that was slicker than snot on a door knob. Then i caught up to the plow, and he was going almost too slow, so slow i slid sideways a few times. I was able to breathe once i got to Jonas, and from there, i mean, its a pretty easy drive. I came home through Palmerton and took the turnpike which everything was snow covered but really in good shape. i didnt want to mess with 534, seems like the hill attracts morons for miles. Blue should close now.
