I have been staying out of the "where Sallyant should ski" thread, but its my opinion that taking full advantage of Powder requires someone with some knowledge of the place. This was also the the place that RR, Phillycore and myself were way way off in wherever land when PC did a superman, ending with a pretty serious blow to the head. In the middle of no where. Luckily he has a pretty thick head. I havent paid attention to lift upgrades there either, but i think when in doubt, Powder Country is a fairly to navigate, but probably not the best skiing that place has to offer.

The lake, beach, and boulderview are a bigger draw for those condos than BB ever could be. btw, who owns boulderview these days? the places over at JF definitely pull in people that want to be “slopeside”. (Haha). I wonder if those condos spiked after vail bought JF (again, haha) my parents place at okemo sold quickly after being on the market for quite some time one the purchase by vail was complete.

Yeah, longer drive, but, Bear Creek = Wedding facility, Camelsack = No tailgating, Blue = whats the point, Shawnee = are they open? Spring might be interested. Friends of mine from Cape May enter almost every year, and i can assure you if it moved to Montage, they would be on it like stink on shit. they make a whole weekend out of it with friends like BenM does. It wouldnt be about if anybody up there knows what WMMR is. I dont think i even get WMMR on the radio in the Poconos.

My guess is Vail says no way to that, and its over and done with. Wont truly know this year though. Having that event is no benefit to Vail what so ever. That wont increase pass sales on bit. I was surprised to see it happen last year, but i bumped into someone i know that was working at JF in customer service, and she said that the first year of Vail ownership they were considered a "partner resort," and they were basically running the place as they had been. I think from how things are being run this year, that was a true statement.

As we had discussed on the lift that Blue really had their shit together this year, they fall short in this area. They need to enforce this better.

Also, if they really wanted to appeal to another crowd, let Chute bump up. Still blows my mind why they wont. At one point Frost had Floyds bumped and it was so much fun.

This is exactly what i was going to post. With JFBB going to shit, start bringing that crowd to Blue. Not that they can do much more in the way of tickets with limited capacity now, but i would bet they have an increase in their season pass come February. Smart move on Blue's part. NMDW is my fav trail, especially when the turns are sweet, but it is what it is.

Last few times i have been through, the only hint of construction was like a 2 mile stretch just for a bridge overhead, there wasnt any construction on 476 itself. Up until now i never knew what the mobile construction speed thingys looked like. Never really saw anything that looked like it had a camera attached to it, but i wasnt looking for a car either.

My money is on it not being up and running by the time you go. I have nothing against Elk, well, maybe that whole Vermont thing, but i think being consistent, is what Elk does well. Therefore, change is not something they adapt well to. I mean, they had the same website for like 15 years up until just recently, the one that was built on Netscape by a toddler. Blue has really surprised me with the way they have handled this season so far. Whats up with Blue having their shit together all of a sudden?

Im not convinced thats the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. i read alot about it last night, and maybe there is more going on there than Vail would like to publicly announce. I know they didnt open today, either.
