  1. And again, no matter what team you play for, this is pretty funny. Jump to like 2:20 "this wont come back to haunt me in a week"
  2. Here it is, the best frontside skis as determined by Skimag.com. Do i believe there are other better skis? Yes. Do these manufacturers do tons of advertising in Ski? Yes. At least they do sort of know their ass from their face since they didnt put the RTM's on the list. https://www.skimag.com/gear/best-mens-frontside-recreational-skis?fbclid=IwAR3B86P4PxvPejQveymngEdv9NqXi0wIwjd8a9F-0CH9JPFHikj3XiJp7pE I wouldnt mind taking the Nordica Enforcer 94 for a spin sometime. I only use my Enforcers 100's at Blue, I guess the question is, am i putting extra effort into the 100, or am i rewarded with the width when Blue goes to sugar at 8:25?
  3. Stop. its only a few that need talked off the ledge, but it was almost a good way to thin the herd. Rumor or not, this could very well happen, so lets just call it a discussion.
  4. no vert either.

    Elk Sold

is it a coupon book that you buy so you can buy discount tickets with your coupons, or is it really vouchers? Dont get me started on those. Might be a great option for those whining in another thread, although its more expensive than the season pass to the other PA mountain.
  6. I'm actually really good at math. i can add 2 double digit numbers in my head. Another good answer, that falls on the d eaf.
  7. Chief, then you should go get a refund for your pass, if this happens, and ski Mountain Creek. I dont think Blue has to be giving money back to everybody that "claims" they bought their pass for night skiing. My guess is, if they do announce no weekday nights, you still keep the pass, but just continue to complain about it all season long. Is a $50 refund going to change your world so much financially? Best answer, thank you. This is the point i am trying to drive through, but math is hard.
  8. I heard Elk isnt opening, but the trees will be in play all winter long.
  9. Well, really the pass is for unlimited skiing. And i interpret unlimited skiing to mean when they are open. Theres no Covid handbook for anyone to follow, this is new to everybody. i am sure they can dig into their data and see what small population of passholders just ski at night. i do get that there may be a small percentage, and i think its a really small number, of people that just ski at night, or ski 75% of the time at night. The season pass is so ridiculously cheap, i dont see a reason for a partial refund. I am so fucking tired of hearing people complain about a mountain owing them money because they couldnt ski on this day or that, or "only bought the pass to ski after March 15th"...lol, or i might have to make a reservation.....fuck, just hang it up if you arent willing to roll with some changes. This is an expensive sport. If someone feels they are entitled to a $50 refund on a $400 pass, they probably need to rethink their financial situation in regards to the hobby/sport. I do believe they should lay out their operational plan before the start of the season, (which i am sure they will) and if it does include less/no night skiing then they should offer a refund for those that would like to opt out of a season pass. If it were my little mountain, i would have shut down season pass sales by now, and gone for the more profitable day ticket sales to get them up to max capacity for the day, what ever that number might be. If i had to make a bold prediction, and they did in fact keep the lights off during the week, and didnt offer a partial refund, nobody here would opt out of the pass. Not even the other big talking complainer.
  10. Do it. Im sure you will be able to get your money back from blue right now. It would be wise to do this now, rather than just be complaining about it over and over again during the season.
  11. There might be something to them leaving the lights on if people are working at night......but you are correct, they leave the lights on alot. I just think they will be looking for anyway to save a few bucks this year.
  12. Interesting that they will be backing off at the park scene at BB. i always felt that worked for BB, but i feel like it was a big hit 10 years ago, but much less now. Sort of seems like a no brainer to shut the lights and lifts off if there are no school groups. Loss of revenue is going to need to be made up in other areas if possible. Adding time in the morning would be more cost efficient than lighting the place up for small numbers. They could just run either the quad or the six for the really early crowd. I would be there for opening. Would be spectacular.
  13. It is for sure. I couldnt dream up half the shit i have read today. Its my opinion he does have it. He would never want to show a weakness or that superman could catch Covid 19.
  14. My insane Trump lovin Facebookers are pretty quite this morning.
  15. It does appear from Skitoolivelovetoskisome's screenshot they are boasting about the 377 new snow guns, which i assume are still the ones they bought last year. i mean, i guess get your moneys worth out of the expense. I myself sometimes call things new even when they arent quite new. For instance, i keep calling my dishwasher "new", but it is just over one year old.
  16. Uh, yeah, they might be double dipping on this news......Is that link posted earlier from something they posted this year?
  17. i feel like they got exactly 377 new snow guns last year in like November, like stupidly close to when the season was to begin.
  18. You will have a new appreciation for whats uncomfortable if you get tested for Covid. Its not something you want to do regularly, or even twice for that matter.
  19. We did argue briefly about this in another thread, but we can argue about it some more. Looks like a pretty slow day here.
  20. I know its done alot, but buying a card, to be able to purchase discount lift tickets makes no sense to me.
  21. i really wanted to play with my ski shit this weekend. So nice out.
  22. Hell no. Jay gets a shit load of snow.
  23. Well, i think it was Magic Mountain that was pretty confident we would have a vaccine by February, so you can really just take the political aspect out of it.
  24. You really just have too many issues. I think you should take a strong look at hanging up the skis, and taking up crocheting, or basket making for the winter. I'm sure Doug will still let you come to his Hotel House to "do stuff" though.
  25. We set the trend in so many different aspects of the skiing experience. I would actually imagine the will have some porta shitters set up this year.
