  1. Pussy. Cut it. Tell people you are cold. Bingo.
  2. Just do the clipper cut. Its just not that hard. i think u like to wear hats too, right?
  3. when would we see an upswing in positives from Mothers day gatherings on Sunday? towards the end of the week/weekend?
  4. My plan was to pay all you fuckers back at the end of season party, but that didnt work out so well. just keep reminding me about it, ok? Dont let me forget.
  5. Others have mentioned it, but i am really starting to think what skiing might look like for this upcoming season. I guess 2 people might have good distance on the six, but imagine the line? Gonna be interesting for sure.
  6. Right, thanks for taking the time to clarifying that. Its sort of why i didnt list whistler with Telluride and Taos. Next time i will make it super clear for you.
  7. So i went out for a drive yesterday to curb some boredom. Lots of traffic. I also saw people "visiting" for mothers day in my neighborhood, where as i didnt see this on Easter. There is some pretty crazy shit being circulated on the interweb, and i think that is playing a significant role in changing peoples minds on this thing. I dont think the stay at home order until June is going to be something most people are going to be willing to do. I saw something about Bucks County where they were saying the local PD would do nothing to stop anybody from opening their business, and they would be relying on the PSP to take care of that. So, i think if you read between the lines some, they were kinda saying, go ahead, open up, we wont be bothering you. Sadly, i dont think most people will be upholding social distancing or wearing a mask either. This ride could get pretty bumpy. Im gonna be a mask wearing, staying away from other people, doing curbside delivery kinda guy for the foreseeable future.
  8. Has anybody else skied Chadds Peak? My list is pretty similar to most posted here. I really like checking out new resorts, so Telluride, and Taos are pretty high on my list. I think whistler would be cool too. I'm not sure i have the patience to be on a plane as long as it takes to get oversees.
  9. Totally agree. I love coffee, and the swill i brew at home is just fine with me. I dont get starbucks at all, but im not into lattes or creamy coffee drinks with marshmallow fuzz. i make baller tacos at home too. Probably tomorrow night.
  10. https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Pages/Cases.aspx this is total cases by county, and i guess total negative cases. I hate looking at this, its super depressing to see that i live in the third highest county, and we are actually creeping up on #2. If you ask me, the answer is not yet, but at this point, i have come to grips with the fact that people need to make their own good decisions. Maybe i am on the super cautious side of this, but im gonna stay on that side for a while until the dust settles. Plus we have like killer hornets to start worrying about too..lol.
  11. Some people will and some people wont. Since i have been out and about some, im not super impressed with what i have seen. I think we are about 95% compliant here to be honest. There are some people here that feel this is a silly exercise, or feel there is just no way this could possibly affect them.
  12. Toast just had a small seizure.
  13. I was just out in Conshy. There is some building construction going on near Fayette street. 2 construction workers standing right next to one another, masks pulled down, right under a Penn dot type light up sign that says "practice social distance". It was almost worth swinging back around to get a pic. Awesome.
  14. Im not sure about any of you's, but i aint buying into this at all. i say maybe some flakes to start, then rain. Then probably sun, and maybe some thunder and lightning mixed in.
  15. I'm there if you can make that happen!
  16. I dated a girl from Australia, who always used to say "you americans are always so over the top with everything" turns out she was right.
  17. Mines been cut 3 times, and all three times it really barely needed cut. I guess my grass just doesnt grow real fast, which is fine by me.
  18. I sure as hell hope so. I hope i am completely wrong that our future in this is bleak.
  19. Population, and square miles are definitely on your side in Carbon. Delco is tiny with a huge population. If you do some quick math, you are sitting at about half the Covid-19 cases then Delco, percentage wise, based on population. It is freaky how long Carbon held out before reporting their first case. Not a bad place to be. (other than the obvious love affair that most people seem to have with Walmart up there) Just for the record, i live 2.5 miles from Chester County, and 8.3 Miles from Malvern.
  20. Both Delco and Carbon are fucked up, just they are fucked up for different reasons.
  21. Not sure what kind of an answer you expect with that question, but its my opinion that Carbon County doesnt have enough cases for people to be put on edge. Carbons numbers were always trailing way behind everyone else, so its my opinion Carbon County is an example of what happens when you lock shit up before it gets out of control. Monroe County on the other hand is pretty hot right now, and i would say that is partially due to the NY commuters, and short term rentals, although Carbon has its fair share of short term rentals as well. Delco is pretty hot, from what i see, except for the landscapers i keep seeing working close together with no masks on, people are staying home. I spent last weekend in the Poconos. I didnt leave my property the entire weekend. But i saw lots of people out, and driving by. i saw 1 person walking with a mask on, and they were actually walking alone with their dog. Saw groups of 3-4 people walking by, in golf carts, no masks on. Maybe they are all related, living in the same house, maybe not. Didnt see any contractor types driving by with masks on, or down by their chin. My asshole neighbors across the street and 2 doors down were going to a party. How do i know this? They are from NY, the live on half an acre, which they think it is the size of a farm, and yelling is basically their way of talking, and most times i can here everything they say, since they dont have volume knobs.
  22. Probably a good half of our employees are from Guatemala. Just a few actual Mexicans. Are the Guatemalans ok in your silly logic? Trust me when i say this Doug, they were the ones that showed up Monday morning with their own masks. Its a bunch of our other guys that seem to think they are invincible, or they are just dumber than i thought they were. I would rest most of the blame on the employer for the people i saw out working without a mask.
  23. I am afraid that as a society we are going to fail this test. I had to take a truck for a test drive, and not to sound racist, but every landscape truck i saw with 2-4 guys in it, none had masks on, then the other crew i saw doing mulch, none of them had masks on. We should be back in quarantine shortly. I guess at this point, i just need to look out for numero uno. (me)
  24. So, i'm back at work. We are taking all the precautions and providing masks for everybody, sanitizer, hand wash stations, the whole nine yards. I would say, 80% maybe more of our employees are taking it seriously, and are playing along with our rules, but i dont go out to job sites too often, so i dont know whats going on there. The guys i oversee are on board, so that puts me at ease somewhat. We have made it clear that everybody needs to bring their own lunch, water, etc. Nobody is to stop at Wawa, or any other convenience store or lunch spot, whatever. The unfortunate part is we cant control anybody's after work activities. Hopefully, they will go to work, and continue to only make trips to stores for essential items. We do have one manager that sort of thinks the rules dont apply to him, and then one of his foreman has made it clear that he feels this is all a big hoax. There is a super good chance this goes completely sideways, and its groundhog day all over again. I hope people realize that.
  25. That is pretty fair. This whole Covid-19 thing is unfair to everyone, which includes big business. Not sure why people are hell bent on going after the resorts "when they didnt get to use their pass enough". I get it if people didnt use theirs at all, but i think the percentage of people who were saving their ski time to after March 15th, is incredibly small.
