So, i'm back at work. We are taking all the precautions and providing masks for everybody, sanitizer, hand wash stations, the whole nine yards. I would say, 80% maybe more of our employees are taking it seriously, and are playing along with our rules, but i dont go out to job sites too often, so i dont know whats going on there. The guys i oversee are on board, so that puts me at ease somewhat. We have made it clear that everybody needs to bring their own lunch, water, etc. Nobody is to stop at Wawa, or any other convenience store or lunch spot, whatever. The unfortunate part is we cant control anybody's after work activities. Hopefully, they will go to work, and continue to only make trips to stores for essential items. We do have one manager that sort of thinks the rules dont apply to him, and then one of his foreman has made it clear that he feels this is all a big hoax. There is a super good chance this goes completely sideways, and its groundhog day all over again. I hope people realize that.

That is pretty fair. This whole Covid-19 thing is unfair to everyone, which includes big business. Not sure why people are hell bent on going after the resorts "when they didnt get to use their pass enough". I get it if people didnt use theirs at all, but i think the percentage of people who were saving their ski time to after March 15th, is incredibly small.

i have heard rumblings about this as well. We are starting to phase back in some crews at work, obviously watching the almighty dollar, which translates to limited overtime. i work with a bunch of morons. I feel bad for people that think riding the Feds money train for as long as possible, and then thinking your job will just be waiting for you when the $600 thing runs out, is a brilliant plan. That $600 a week thing was a stupid knee jerk reaction to this whole deal, that wasnt thought out very well, especially for PA which has one of the highest benefit payments.

It looks like i will be heading back to work soon, with construction starting back up. I have been doing what i can from home, which really isnt too much, and its a pain in the ass sending emails from my phone, and trying to dig up email contacts. Been working on our guidelines for employees returning to work. This will be an interesting year for sure. I think at this point we are sort of in survival mode, and breaking even this year would be good. My contact with other people at work can be very low, but i do have my concerns about a few people that are in the same office as myself. My plan is to barricade myself in my office as much as possible.

im not a huge bagel eater, but, yeah theres bagels, and then there are really good bagels. A friend from the Poconos smuggles in a few dozen every so often from Long Island. Not sure why all bagels cant be that good. And, again, for the record, i dont think the bagels at the bagel place in JH are that good.

I saw an article today where people are pissed target and walmart in some areas have stopped sales of non essential items like clothes, toys, and one lady was really upset that she couldnt run to the store to get printer ink. What the fuck. This i whats wrong with people in this country. To me all these people are complaining about is they cant go “shopping”. Last i saw, amazon still had toys and printer ink. And clothes? Where the fuck are you going where you need new clothes anyways? Dressing up for a special dinner inside your house?

As much as i want to get back to work, and start living life somewhat normal again, (a decent paycheck sure would be a nice thing) people need to understand things wont be "normal" for quite some time. I think once people start to go back to work, they let their guard down. I know 90% of our employees stop at some type of convenience store on their way to work. In my opinion, this is just opening up pandoras box again. We are starting to put together some measures at work for safety, but there is a huge big picture here people need to see, and be aware of. Yeah, think outside your little box for just one minute here. Maybe, some type of construction company with about 100 employees or so......probably have a few million dollars in loans for equipment at any given time. you do the math.

I was pretty happy to see that Easter Sunday looked like just any other day of late around here. i didnt see anybody having people over. i figured that would kind of be the test to see if people are keeping up with the social distancing thing.

Damn. That sure was nice of them.

Raining like hell in PA right now. At this point, i would take the snow so i could go shovel and use the snowblower for something to do outside. Maybe make a snow fort. and then a few funny snowpeople. With all this rain, @toast21602 will be back on the mower by Wednesday doing lines.

Dug a big hole the other day. had a little dampness inside the garage along the back wall. Not a huge big deal, but when i have endless amounts of time on my hands, this is what keeps me occupied. Hopefully it doesnt fill up with water tonight/tomorrow.

I can cut my hair and get my grass cut.

Uhh, they sell wholesale too, did you ask where you placed dinner last night where they got their proteins from, and if anybody there had the sniffles? Not being a dick here, but its my opinion take out is a bigger risk than supermarket meats. here is a list of their brands. https://www.cargill.com/meat-poultry/cargill-meat-solutions

The end of the month wont be any different than today. I would like to have some positive income before making a purchase like that. This is why i think the "season pass sale" will continue until the day the rope drops on Vista. I doubt there will be a huge increase in season pass price. That will of course, get a whole bunch of peoples panties all in a bunch too, that already pre purchased.
-
Still fairly unconcerned about buying a pass at this point.

Might as well go ahead and have the wife or kid take care of it at this point. Things will still be “interesting” after this lockdown thing, and its not like you can do curbside pickup on a hair cut. Plus, you wont be the only one needing a haircut in a few weeks.

Looks like some strong storms will be arriving in the area shortly. Sure does rain a lot.

My grass was just cut by the lawn elves. It didnt really need it, i was hoping they wouldnt come around quite yet, but, oh well.
