  1. And like 6" of snow is just a nuisance. 6" here is a fucking disaster.
  2. So they will groom from 4:15- 4:30, probably will rain some more, then get really cold. I predict conditions tomorrow will be on par for what we have had so far this year. If they would groom from 4:15 am to 4:30 am, it would be like they care about the people that show up and ski/ride there. Normal places do this. Unfortunately, we know that Blue does what they want, or whats cheapest. See you morons tomorrow.
  3. Check out the UDOT tweety page....pretty interesting stuff. Avalanche at Snowbird 1 parking lot it 8-9' deep....sometime this morning. https://twitter.com/UDOTcottonwoods Town of Alta is interlodged. And here we are, looking at just a shit ton of rain, and then maybe some snow. Exciting!

    Elk Day 2020

and i think his license plate says "lv2grill" or something like that.
  5. You should do well up there. i think north of us will see a decent snowfall over the weekend.
  6. Unlikely. in dfw waiting to board for phl. My rescheduled jac-dfw flight (that im not on) appears to be delayed again until 4:30, which would have put me in dfw after the last phl flight. It appears as though i did the right thing. so if i took the $400 and ended up somehow on the late flight, i would probably be more angry than i was yesterday.
  7. I agree with your first sentence, but disagree with the rest. If i was still skiing frost, and it was going to vaporize the following year, there is no way i would still be on an epic pass. Where the fuck would i ski on weekends when im in the poconos? The half open BB? Drive to hunter 30 times? (No carpooling with skitoolive either) @poconoceancity, if JF was to close, what would you do? Stay on the Epic pass, or move on to Blue/Toe/Montage? closing any resort wont funnel more people onto the epic pass. JF and BB are really two different resorts. They could probably litter some more trails at JF with park features, and get the park crowd over to JF, but tell the JF crowd to go ski BB? Thats probably not gonna work.
  8. Yep, all of the good scenery was done in the daylight. Bridger-teton national forest is absolutely beautiful. Afton wyoming gets a shit ton of snow too, like holy shit amount of snow. it was a good change of scenery to see a bit more of the west.
  9. Like i said, i would have played lets make a deal if they got a hold of me yesterday, and i could have gone skiing today with the boys. But when i show up at the airport, plunk my bags down to get checked in, i was already heading home in my head. From what i understand toms plane was one of the few that took off yesterday, so things are already backed up, there is actually snow in the forecast tomorrow, doesnt look like a big deal but you never know. I never thought this plane wasnt going to take off on a bright sunny day, so, yeah, in the end, i should have taken it, but at the same time i could have gotten stuck there for days. 400 bucks isnt really going to change my life at this point. so i decided to go site seeing. I heard there is a great mexican place, blue or red tortilla or something in the shitty part of slc, so thats where im heading. Wyoming is a beautiful state.
  10. When i got here they offered me $400 and a room, but i wasnt interested since i was already here. Had i known yesterday, i would have played lets make a deal for sure.
  11. Flight fucking cancelled. Tomorrow 2 pm. What a motherfucking waste of a god damn day.
  12. Nothing spectacular happening here. Rumor is every flight out is booked for the rest of the week. At least there is a later flight out of dfw to phl. I just need to get to dfw.
  13. Oh, fucking awesome. They are “fixing” the plane. Havent boarded yet, and it was supposed to take off in 15 mins. i really dont have a lot of luck at this airport.
  14. Had i known Yesterday AA was gonna offer me stuff for not flying today, i would have really considered staying another day. anyways, another great trip to JH in the books. Killing time at the airport waiting to get into an aluminum tube to be transported home.
  15. I guess the big question is, did these lifts just break? Should they have been running prior to this? Was peak greasing inspections? Im not a vail fan, but im also not a fan of lifts failing with people in them at the same time. i cant imagine vail didnt do their due diligence when buying peak, but it sure does seem like they keep finding things that dont work so well. Most lifts at boulder are antiques though.
  16. I see lots of FB complaining about grooming and lifts at JFBB, which, i dont know, is the FB stuff because they are getting more traffic now being Epic? Historically their grooming has always been real good. I dont really remember many bad days of grooming there, but sort of whats going on there just seems to be a continuation of things i saw years ago, which is what prompted my exit. but, like ridgeracer is eluding to grooming is bad more than its good at Blue. seems like both establishments dont really care about the product they deliver to the end user. Sometimes Blues shit is down right dangerous. Problem is, we just keep showing up and buying passes, they continue to sell overpriced day passes.
  17. Fun day. Definitely some heavier snow than anticipated. The warm up the other day was a little unfortunate as well for today, but we still found some good stuff to play in, and its always great to get out and ski some place different with some other Blue regulars.
  18. Usually when you re-up your pass, Blues high tech scanner system usually shuts your pass off. Wont matter how many passes you have on you.
  19. Wow....giving away ONE season pass? Seems like odds of me winning it are pretty good.
  20. Does the season pass for the parking lot go on sale at the same time?
  21. This is funny, since Blue is sort of good at doing nothing. Its been said before, let chute bump up. Its a nothing trail, and without having to groom that they could focus more time on getting everything else better.
  22. some pretty flat light today, but not horrible. most of the trees skied well, some crunchy areas. met a lot of interesting people today. I did think 2 guys were gonna throw down in the singles line for the gondi this morning, but they hugged it out.
  23. you never know, but yeah, i have been hearing lots of "throwing up the white flag" on this winter.
