I have already given a lot of suggestions, but honestly if you guys at bear ever run out of ideas go on transworldsnowboarding.com and check any video with Bear mountain CO in it. They have arguably one of the most creative parks in the country and in their jib parks all their setups are completely doable for bear. Everybody should check them out and report what you like.

I already suggested this earlier in this topic. would be nasty.

Yeah that set up with the three flow boxes was fun, id like to see that as well, but the picnic tables would just be a mellower setup of that, and would be easier to lear tricks on. DC's website used to have footage of Eddie Wall doing shit on a setup like that and it looked real fun. As for that steep A set up last year, it was gay. It had no flow to it. you had to hit it so fast so you would just bink it up and down, I can imagine someone getting real messed up on that thing.

two or three picnic tables set up in a mellow A with a little gap, or an up gap flat gap down

I was just learning them the other day and after a few attempts i had the rotation pretty much down and then went balls out on one, under rotated by only a hair and dislocated my shoulder. I know that this may not sound helpful but i learned one lesson from it that i will follow through with the day i get back on the snow with a healed shoulder. That lesson is grab your board. if i had grabbed nothing would have happened to my shoulder other than a quick ouch. Heres some other tips, do not hesitate when setting up. as any hesitation will lead to under rotation keep your head looking back until you can see your landing. throw yourself as hard as you can into it on the first try. And most importantly, do a grab.

I wasnt in the train but that was my buddy doing that, i was learning em that day.

yesterdaynight was real fun while it lasted... dislocated my shoulder on the second run... but all the jumps were real nice, and poppy enough for me to try a backflip a couple times and bust my self.

Props to BC tonight, had a real fun time... despite the warm conditions things were set up really nice. only complaint is that park crew didnt really get around to cascade all that much to fix up the lips in the jump line, but they were still fun. the flat box with teh big gap to it in cascade is soooo fun. the jump in the tubing park is real fun but the head wall before it should be a little mellower cause you tend to shoot off it but other than that great job.

Everyone who has seen the ten day forecast who agrees that Bear Creek Should get snow into the tubing park and strive to open a jump line very soon please let BC-Ironworks know with a pm because if we do not get snow into the tubing park soon and get a jump line open, we will not have a chance to for at least ten days. I am not at all trying to be negative with bear creek's park here with criticism, but merely trying to help make the park live up to its potential. Once again, If any one agrees that a jump line should be built please let BC-Ironworks know.

You guys better not change the way you set up the tables last year, The take offs were better than any in PA, long and poppy and smooth.
-
I couldn't agree more, much more room and steepness to get speed for bigger things, and great spot to put a large table jumpline.

Did They open the big stair case?

Two great ideas. I have been wanting a mellow a frame with a little gap for a while, and never even thought about the hiking idea. Both great calls.

This should be done but in the beginner's park, all boxes in cascade and a lot in black bear should be set up HIGH. I know that in some ways we don't have the slope boulder has for a jump line like theirs, but if any one has seen their most recent jump line, that is more or less what i'd like to see bear set up as an expert jump line. And also regarding jumps, they should have a solid line of at least three tables in black bear with multiple take offs ranging in sizes like they had a few years back. Also I remember a few years ago they had a down rail set up on the downside of a tabletop, making for a big gap to a rail, but you could also choose to hit this feature slower as an urban rail buy riding over the lip and jumping off the tabletop's deck. I would love to see another large gap to a rail that wasn't as challenging as the stair set gap. this would be a great set up to work up to better tricks on the stair set gap.

just watched this vid of mountain high park and got an idea... when we set up the dragon box/ u box what ever you want to call it there should be a down box set up right after it kicks you out with a sizable gap to it. so you would hit the u box and then land on the down box. that would be real sick.

I have been noticing lots of park suggestions and criticisms in lots of posts lately so i made this. Post what you want to see this year, what you liked from last year and what you would like to have changed from last year.
-
does anyone know if there is a video of the rail jam on the internet, if not when is one coming out? Also id love to see some footage from the jump line if anyone has some.
-
I couldn't agree more strongly. I'm not saying copy big boulder, but get some inspiration, because this weekend boulder's park's were incredible, and i know that bear has the potential to keep up.
-
The drop box is meant to be set up in reverse, and honestly i think its gonna be sick. If any one has seen the special blend video First chair last call they have one in that video and it looks real fun.
-
ok... for the most part good conditions (park crew did an awesome job, personally asking me how things were/ what needed to be fixed) yet two of the bowes are not completely level, and the first down box at the top of the park isnt in the right place and the landing got way too icy the second day. Drop box is sick... But for the most part nice job Bear.
