  1. I agree. But, I don't read anything other than lounge, park, and forums related to places I want to ride. Based on that, I'd would have never heard about the Bear Creek boardercross if it wasn't in the lounge. I'm not trying to argue or start shit. I'm just posting my opinion and what I think. Personally, I would like special events posted or CC'd in the Lounge. If not, I would never hear about them because I'm not going to check ALL the new posts and ALL the forums.
  2. Although I think your busting balls, reading those names made me smile. #12 is my favorite Eagle ever and White will be missed.
  3. Nope. I can't see why anyone would want to read posts from EVERY forum that has a new post. I only hit the forums that discuss where I ride or am considering riding, park, and lounge. So, I don't agree with you logic. But, you're the mod.
  4. Hey Moe. Before you but people's balls for carpooling, why don't you answer the following questions or think about our answers: How far do you live from the mountain? What do you drive and how many miles on it? How much do you have in the bank? If I lived close to a mountain, or had some piece of shit car, I wouldn't mind driving by myselff to the mountain all the time. But, none of the above apply to me and I'm not some old guy with tons of time and money. So, yeah, I want to carpool.
  5. I'm not going to Blue. But I will pass on the information and I'm sure they will appreciate it. My ex went to Kutztown. I've handled the Allentown bars. Crocodile Rock is the only spot I'd hit, and only if there was a band worth seeing.
  6. A few friends are planning to ride Blue Mountain this Sunday. The Eagles playoff game starts at 4:30pm and they are looking for the best place to run to watch the game as soon as they get off the mountain. I remember watching the Janet Jackson's Superbowl "wardrobe malfunction" at Don Pablo's on the way home from Blue. I was hoping there was a great place to watch the game closer to Blue instead. This way, they can ride longer during the day AND be close enough to go back if they want to do a 2nd session at night. The options close to Blue might be limited, so a good spot on the way home might be a good option too. So, I guess I'm looking for 2 suggestions for the best place to watch the game that has good TV's and would be fun and/or have good food. 1) Closest to Blue 2) On way back to turnpike from Blue Thanks for any help. PS Any suggestions on getting the best deal for 5-20 lift tickets for this Sun?
  7. Do you boardercross or even snowboard at all? NOPE Do you ride Bear Creek? NOPE Considering it's a "no" to both answers, why are you even posting in here? Can you try posting something that contributes something positive to the community for once? If not, can you just move on to another thread?
  8. You're the mod, but I think if only one thread should be left open, it should stay in the Lounge. A lot of people visit the Lounge that don't ride BC and will not check the BC forum for this. Those same people might go to BC for this event if they get word about it. Bear Creek forum people should know what's going on at their mountain already, right? IF not, maybe you should leave this thread up as well. Just my thoughts. Hope you don't mind.
  9. What: USASA Boardercross Competition at Bear Creek When: January 31, 2009 Put your skills to the test in two boardercross competitions in one day at Bear Creek. As a competitor, you will get a discount lift ticket (usually in the $25 range) for the day. The Mid-Atlantic Snowboard Series is part of the USASA national competition. From the Mid-Atlantic site (snowboardseries.com): USASA is offering a FREE one day ONCE IN A LIFE TIME opportunity for first time competitors. Athletes who have never ever competed in the USASA in their life may take advantage of a ONE DAY USASA Trial Membership to experience the thrill of competition and possibly become a member of our family. Again, this offer is for first time USASA competitors and not available to any who have competed at any point in the past with USASA. Pass the word on and encourage riders to come and enter the events this season. If you are interested in this Trial Membership, you must do this in person the day of a competition during the designated registration times. This is a trial USASA membership and not the daily event fees. You are still required to pay for each event at registration at the "day of" rate of $25 per event. You MUST not register online for this offer! (day of registration only). We are planning for the January 31st competitions, but if the weather looks bad for that weekend, we will postpone to the following weekend with 2 additional boardercross races at Camelback on February 6th. And hey, maybe you'll like it so much you'll want to go back for the second weekend anyway and get yourself qualified for Nationals. Helmets are required to race. Registration/Competitor Check-in is from 8:00 - 9:00 am and course practice/inspection is from 9:15-10am
  10. Welcome. You might want to reach out to "Barb". You have a lot in common. Well, at least were not incestuous.
  11. That's why JFBB has much better conditions. I thought everybody knew this stuff already?
  12. Thanks for the excellent report.
  13. True. But it's a price worth paying for the jobs, schools, economy, health care, etc. that the greater Philadelphia/NYC area offer. I lived at a resort for 2 years. There is a reason everyone doesn't live at resorts. I came back. I'm glad I did. But, I'm jealous of the conditions you all have to ride every day.
  14. No pics=didn't happen
  15. Here is his description:
  16. Can we get a detailed description of the new setup on Widow/LOVE park? Thanks. (Merry Christmas Everyone. )
  17. How do we know that Merry Widow/LOVE park is going to be ready to ride? Any details on the new setup?
  18. I agree. I've been having this same conversation with many different people for a while now.
  19. Toast! You're a scary guy. I think I just shit myself.
  20. I'm glad the old timers are enjoying the circle jerk.
  21. They don't return phone calls either. But, thanks Moe. I never said anything like that. So, AGAIN, stop manipulating what I said. If there's a problem, I'm always willing to take it to private messages or have a face-to-face discussion. If that's being a 'tough guy", then so be it. It's better than running your mouth on-line and then being a bitch about it when called out. Those people know who they are.
  22. I thought a teacher would be smat enough not to make assumptions. You don't know me. I never said shit about the GM. Don't try to manipulate what I said. I don't know the GM. Frankly, I don't even know the tool that was harassing me either. Lastly, keep that in mind that none of you know me either.
  23. It's a shame, because I believe it was a legitimate misunderstanding and was willing to calmly rectify the situation.
  24. Because I trust the independent info I get here more than the info I get from the staff, that's why. Most of the employees at JFBB are great. But, the few I've asked these types of questions to have been complete assholes. Also, e-mails get no response. I offered one after I was stalked and harassed. But, I couldn't get them to give me a name and place so I could deliver it.
  25. What are the details of what they are building over there? When will it be open to ride? If Jesse is running Mt Snow, and Ian is off in Colorado, the question still stands: Who makes the decisions on what to build at JFBB's terrain parks? Who designs the layout and features? Who actually pushes the snow in the park to build the features?
