  1. So says the guy who's girlfriend left him for a dude who looks like a lesbian Harry Potter...... and requires cash for any female companionship. You don't even ride JFBB.......troll somewhere else. Unless you want ME posting in the Blue section all the time ??????
  2. Sorry Rob, but that still doesn't answer my question. So00, since I don't really care about Jack Osbourne, his current "look", or his "partying"in Colorado.... Who makes the decisions concerning the terrain parks at JFBB? Who actually designs the parks? Who builds them?
  3. I thought the kid with short hair that looked like Jack Osbourne ran Boulder's park. If what you are saying, is true, how did he get his position and "juice"? The guy is obviously no rider/skier.
  4. There is NO way the tool in that pick is the head of a terrain park. That fat bastard couldn't ride a snowboard, let alone a jump or rail. Also, if he's the head of boulder's park, what the hell is he doing "partying" in Colorado in the middle of ski season? If I'm wrong, I'll stand corrected.
  5. Consider the source of the above post.
  6. Hey Rob, I don't wonder. I just don't care if you or anyone else "likes" me. That fact should be obvious to anyone on here. I've never had a problem with you and have defended you publicly, and in private It's ironic that now you, of all people, are talking about people not being liked on here. Second, I'm commenting on pics of some random guy YOU posted on here. I couldn't care less who he is or isn't. Post those pics on any random public forum and I bet you they say the same thing, He guy looks like a fat homo trying real hard to be something, and failing miserably. It's not my fault he is rocking that ridiculous look.
  7. Who's the gay guy with the homo mustache, girl hair, and nerd glasses? Why would a gay guy be talking a picture of a half naked girl? After taking a look again, it looks like that fat guy pissed himself too. Why does he have Boulder Park gear on in Breck?
  8. I agree. But, why do you think the above is true? A good percentage of our snowboard group members (the majority don't know jack about PA mountains) have been pushing for day trips to Blue Mt. and I just don't understand why. Blue has longer runs and faster lifts. BUT, I have always found the place to be a hockey rink and the landings on the features were always bombed out and rutted. If Peak Resorts was doing the same job they are doing at JFBB at Blue Mountain, would it even be possible for Blue Mountain's conditions to be as good as JFBB? Obviously, if you could have the same snowmaking, snow quality, grooming, and terrain parks that Peak has been making at JFBB at the Blue Mountian location with Blue's longer runs and faster lifts, you would have the best Philadelphia dey trip mountain. But, for now, I prefer better conditions and terrain parks than longer runs and faster lifts.
  9. Great report. I'm jealous.
  10. Jack Frost is the easy choice for all the reasons you will find on PASR.
  11. ONE park at Frost has 2 good jumps. But, the landings got pretty icy. Also, I had to bomb the 2nd one from the landing of the 1st. I was told that there will be no new jumps at BB this weekend and it's the same ONE jump only (35+ft) in Boulder Park. LOVE Park needs to be built with some 20 ft jumps ASAP. Boulder needs multiple jumps on multiple runs with a variance in size.
  12. Glad I'm not the only "nerd" who values my health and mobility. You can't argue with the above logic. If you try, you're just arguing for the sake of arguing.
  13. I'd generally have to agree with you, but the best day I ever had at JFBB was when it snowed all day. Isn't the only way to get ungroomed "powder" at JFBB is to ride during a storm because they are just going to groom overnight whatever falls today?
  14. I wasn't planning to leave till Saturday, but a few of us are thinking about heading up tomorrow for the fresh pow? Who is heading to JFBB tomorrow? As usual, I'm down with carpooling/splitting rooms or just meeting up there. Let me know
  15. The only way to deal with the tools on here is just to ignore them. If you try to defend yourself/your ideas, they will bring you down to their level. You can't win.
  16. That's funny. I actually own one already. It needs to hit a flat surface to get a reading. So, we'dd need to stand boards up at the lip and landing in order to get a reading. But, I'd do it. What the hell.
  17. Fair enough. I got the 35+ ft estimate from park crew and from those that were consistently hitting it. Either way, I hope they build small and middle sized jump line on Love park ASAP.
  18. You guys have no idea what I do for a living. AFLAC isn't going to be sufficient. Can we keep please stay on topic? Discussing non-ski/snowboarding stuff on here has brought me a lot of grief and I don't want to do it anymore. Thank you.
  19. I got balls. But, I also have a preexisting condition.......and bills. You gonna pay them if I end up in traction for 3 months again? But, thanks for the suggestion.
  20. I agree that no "real" jump could be made on Freedom. But, don't you think they could have built a small jump with a 5-10ft gap and steep take off/landing just to have fun/warm up on? Regardless, no matter where it is placed, there should be a proper jump line set up with ascending gap sizes. Having ONE jump that is 35ft + in size and NO other jumps is weak. Especially when you consider there are TONS of rails at BB.
  21. Found a trip report from yesterday: Rob, Patrick and myself headed up to JFBB and rode both mountains. "The One" park a JF was closed due to grooming and park maintenance but the conditions of JF were pretty sweet. It was all fresh groomed and no one was there. BB we spent most of the time in the park where the park crew constantly repacking and hand groomed the kickers for the rails. All the landings were soft and buttery. I expected the snow to be heavy and wet but it was anything but that. No ice anywhere, it was almost un-pocono like. All in all i could have not had a better day riding. I never met Rob or Pat before today but those guys are very cool hopefully more of you have a chance to ride with them. Max
  22. Nope I agree. I have no problem hitting mid-size jumps like the ones on Love Park and the 1st one on Boulder Park last year. But, I'd like to warm up for the season on something smaller. In fact, I like to warm up on smaller jumps (10-20ft) every time I ride. I think small jumps can be a lot of fun as well as long as they are really "poppy". But, I don't like jumps that are both big and poppy. JFBB needs to maintain a fair ratio of jumps to rails. They should have a variety of jumps including small and poppy, mid-sized, and what is typically on Boulder Park.
  23. 2 new members from our Philadelphia club e-mailed me about going to JFBB today. We met up at Plymouth Meeting Mall and carpooled up in one of their cars. I have never met these guys before, but as usual, they turned out to be really friendly and great to hang out with. The one who goes to Temple U. used to live/work at Steamboat, so he is obviously a great rider. The other guy hasn't ridden a while because he just got out of the Marines, but he got comfortable riding again pretty quickly. We started at JF, and was really happy with the snow. Soft and a little wet, but not to the point where it slowed you down. There was a lot of fog, but it wasn't that big of a deal. After the ONLY jump at BB under 35ft was removed for NO reason, I really wanted to hit the 2 jumps at JF's ONE park. I was REALLY disappointed to find ONE park closed because the park crew was setting up yet another rail. I don't know why they can't work on these things after hours or 1st thing in the morning. But, it really pissed me off that we drove all the way up there, bought lift tickets, then found the park closed. The east mountain was closed and it bummed the other guys out. We got maybe 20 runs in and then headed to BB. The 1st thing we found at BB was the lift at Boulder park was running , but no attendant was there and it was marked closed. The ski patrol I spoke to agreed that it was pretty stupid having it closed. Especially after seeing what seemed to be BB employees standing around talking nearby. No, the lift never opened up the entire night. The Steamboat guy wanted to hit the 35ft jump on Boulder Park, but even the guys who were hitting it said they were done because it was so dark. I don't know how much the fog had to do with it ,or if it was just bad lighting. Not sure. Freedom was incredible, as usual, for those that like rails. The Steamboat guy was really impressed, which say a lot after living out there. I have been really pissed off that the ONLY jump was removed from Freedom and was disappointed to find that it wasn't rebuilt. There are TONS of rails at BB and ONLY ONE JUMP. JFBB needs more jumps with ascending sizes and not just ONE jump that is 35ft+ in size. All in all, it was a great day. I would not have gone if I knew there would be no jumps for me to hit. But, I was glad to meet 2 new members of our group and get to ride with them. Our group will be doing carpool daytrips both this Saturday and Sunday if anyone wants to meet up in Philly or at the Plymouth Meeting Mall. If you want a ride, or if you want to drive others that will split your gas and tolls, shoot me a PM.
  24. Thanks. I was told the 2 jumps were great at JF and I was really pissed for not going this weekend. This made me feel a little better. JFBB needs to build a small/medium jump line already. BB has TONS of rails and only ONE jump. Lame.
  25. The Grand Summit Hotel and Spa at Mt Snow is SICK. I highly recommend you consider staying there. The spa alone is worth it.
