  1. NICE! Whenever we needed a ride to a bar when we were stuck at a ski resort with no taxis, I'd call the local pizza place and order a pizza for delivery. When it got there, I paid the driver to take us to the bar. (even if it took multiple trips for him) Yes, it's true. The last time I did it was at Okemo.
  2. I'm down with splitting these rooms with you , Dennis, or anyone else on here almost every weekend this season. I'd even pay extra for my own bedroom. Robert- Don't sweat getting a ride to JFBB. We'll get you covered. I put together 2 groups this weekend and it's only the beginning. We should have cars going to JFBB every weekend and we have 2 vans headed to Vermont in December. Shoot me a PM with your contact information and I will keep you posted. I usually don't drive through center city, but I don't mind making a stop to pick people up.
  3. I completely agree on both points. I tried to stick with the 2 guys I rooled up with on Saturday, but they don't do park and couldn't keep up. So, we just set a time and place to meet for the ride home. Sometimes, sharing the car and then riding the mountain is solo. Even when you do that, you still get to split the gas, tolls, and driving. Worst case scenario, you passengers can make sure you stay awake. Sorry Glenn. I thought it was obvious to everyone that the people looking to car pool usually live at least an hour from the mountain. So, yeah. I don't think that the car pooling conversation is relative to locals. You got a point. But, you know what.....I'm tired of people posting negative shit ALL the time. If you don't want to carpool or hang out with other people. Fine. But, keep your negative comments to yourself. Regardless,a lot of us live 1+ hours away and don't want to individually spend $50 to commute to the mountain just to ride alone and then drive home all by themselves. As far as kissing everyones ass after having my balls busted for 2 seasons...our Philadelphia club is finally taking off and we have dozens of people signed up to carpool and do VT trips already. So, my ideas must make sense to some people and maybe I wasted a lot of my time on PASR trying to make it happen.
  4. You don't live an 1.5 hours away from the mountains like most of us, so you don't have to deal with gas, tolls, mileage, and 3+ hours behind the wheel. Your opinion isn't really relative. Even when I skateboarded at the local halfpipe, I always scheduled to meet other people to session. When we took the train into Philly to skate Love Park, I always tried to get people to meet up to share the same train. Most people who ride park want to ride with others to get their stoke up. But, you don't ride park, do you? Either way. It's nice to see that you consistently post an argument to whatever I post.
  5. 3 of us car pooled on Saturday and another group of 5 carpooled on Sunday. Saturday was a little awkward because the 2 guys were new members of our snowboard that I haven't met before. But, they were cool and we had a good time. I can;t understand why people on PASR haven't been carpooling from the beginning. It just makes sense. Who wants to hit the mountain alone and pay for gas and tools all by themselves?
  6. Damn. That sucks. I busted my sack grinding a a rail in Philly back in the day. I've been paranoid about getting banged up on them ever since. Hope she's OK and doesn't scar up too bad. If it''s the girl I'm thinking of, she was pretty hot.
  7. Good to meet ya. How did the girls with the nose ring split her chin?
  8. Thanks for posting guys. Nick was there, so I thought maybe there was some video out there.
  9. Both the hideous and the fat need love too.
  10. If I don't hear from anyone tonight, then tomorrow morning I'm actually going to ride along with some new members of our snowboard club that I have never even met . You guys have to quit being so paranoid. I'll just text the license plate of whateve car I get in to my family. Besides, I doubt anyone wants to kindnap me. I'm no Brad Pitt and my family isn't rich. We are planning to leave Plymouth meeting around 9am tomorrow. But, if any more people get in touch with me, we'll need another vehicle and then I will have to drive. As far as Sunday goes, at least 4 people and 1 SUV are leaving Conshohoken Sunday morning around 9am. If more people want to go, I will either drive again as well or try to get some other cars together to drive.
  11. Well, we are definitely heading up Sunday and our "tentative" meetup time and place is 8:30 AM at the Conshohoken exit or Rt 76. I'm calling around nonw to see if we can put together a group to go up tomorrow morning.
  12. I'm thinking I'll go Staurday and/or Sunday so I can get the most time on the mountain and get the warmest temperatures during the day. However, if anyone wants to carpool on Fri, I might be persuaded into going on Fri too. I started the following thread for people to organize carpools, so hopefully some groups can be put together. Carpool Thread
  13. Cool. Try to post the info I'm looking for and we'll try to find you a ride. Even though it's obvious you're busting my balls again, I'll pretend your serious. If you, or anyone else on PASR, can make it along the route to JFBB (Rt. 476, Rt. 76, Rt. 95, Rt. 1), I have no problem picking you up. If there is room, you pay your way, and you are polite, I will try to make it happen. Yes, that even included you and Doug.
  14. I think the best way to run this thread is to have everyone post the following info: 1) Whether they are either A. offering a ride or B. looking for a ride and to split gas/tolls. Or C. BOTH. 2) Where you are located and where you suggest meeting Here is my info for example: I can do either. Drive or ride along and split gas/tolls. I prefer to ride along. I am in Northeast Philly and I can meet at Chickie & Petes restaurant or pick up people along the way. As far as Sunday goes: My friend Trevor and I are are planning on going to big Boulder. We are meeting in either Manayunk or near where 476 and 76 intersect. Our buddy Steve might be coming as well. I'm not sure how many Trevor can fit in his truck, but I'll find out. I think hitting the mountain with a group is more fun and it's obvioulsy more economcal to share rides. Hopefullly, we can start a new tradition on PASR of getting groups of people together to ride/ski on a weekly basis. If that can happen, it's worth the ball busting I've been receiving over the past 2 seasons.
  15. Does anyone want to meet up in Philly or near 476 and carpool up on Saturday or Sunday? Same deal as the last 2 years: I'd rather chip in for gas and tolls and ride up with other people. But, I can drive 2 others in my sedan with everyone's gear in the 4th seat. Let me know. (Save the ball busting for PMs and when you see me. The "carpooling" jokes are played out.)
  16. I'm shocked PASR hasn't organized a group buy for JFBB season pass. That's the only way I'd buy a season pass to JFBB.
  17. "Trick or Treat" "Here's your free hot dog and a park to ride for Halloween" Halloween doesn't get any better than that.
  18. Nice edit. Good for some early season stoke.
  19. Thanks for the post. Keep up the good work.
  20. No worries. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected. Hopefully everyone will "play nice" on and off line this year. As always, my PM is always open. Enjoy the winter wonderland. We are all stoked for this season.
  21. Thanks for the positive post to add to everyone's stoke. I agree! "YourSuperSweet" is the same DOUCHE BAG that also posts under the name "Fluffy". Apparently, he is some punk that works as Big Boulder that likes to run his mouth like a tough guy on PASR and then hide behind the internet when he gets called out. Regardless, my PM is always open Fluffy, SuperSweet, or whatever other name you want to hide behind.
  22. That brings a to my face. Soon.
  23. What's the latest?
