  1. Paul Newman's salad dressings ROCK! His food sales have equaled MILLIONS of dollars in charity donations. Not to mention, Paul is a fellow racer with an accomplished career as a driver and owner. Funny how these threads run off on tangents. Who's riding Big Boulder this weekend ????
  2. Shenanigans is where everyone met for lunch at the last PASR day at JFBB, so I thought it was a good suggestion. So what movies will you guys be quoting at Big Boulder this weekend? I'm must be the only guy not in love with SuperTroopers. "Old School", "Wedding Crashers" ,"Happy Gilmore","Animal House", and "Harol & Kuhmar" are usually looping at my shore house. Any comedy with Vince Vaughn or Will Farrell is usually a winner.
  3. I'm hoping for people to plan a gathering in the park or organize some sort of carpool. If not, does anyone at least want to set a time and place to get together to grab lunch or dinner? Shenanigans, etc?
  4. Damn. I totally forgot about this thing. I guess it's because BB should be "closed" today and nobody had been talking about it. Did anyone go? Video? Pics?

  6. Those "issues" are a lot less complicated than the ones you would have to deal with if you actually purchased a house in the Poconos. Those "issues" are worth dealing if you can have a house (community room, kitchen, fireplace, jacuzzi) to use for the entire season for the same price a hotel room would cost you for one week. Also, aren't those "issues" worth dealing with to have a place to bring YOUR guests occasionally and to meet new people? All you have to do is set good ground rules and be smart to share a house. A collection for estimated bills should be taken before the season starts or at the 1st of every month. If people want to be loud or party, they go out to the bar. If they don't bring their own stuff, they call for take-out of go to the market. You don't HAVE to socialize with the other shareholders. You can just use the place to sleep and get ready for the next day.
  7. I don't know why I even bother. If anyone ELSE is reading this, I'll be at the Big Boulder parks this weekend if you wanna meet up. My PM box is open.
  8. How ironic you have a pic of "Redman" as your Avatar and you're talking about Jersey. Redman= another product of NORTH Jersey. I hope your not talking shit about my second home of S. Jersey. Saying all of Jersey is the same is like saying Philadelphia and New York City are identical. Not even close. Dude, we had our own private "club" under the Ocean City boardwalk when we were 14. I know all about OC. But anyone who lived it grew tired of it by 18. Then you do Wildwood, move onto Sea Isle, maybe a little time in Avalon, and hopefully business is well enough you can buy a house in Stone Harbor for the wife and kids. It's a natural progression as you get older from scene to scene. Wildwood is a true blue collar paradise and some people will never leave no matter how much money they make. I love North Wildwood and West Widwood and they both will never go out of style for me. It broke my heart where they tore down Moores Inlet. First place I ever got drunk with three generations of my family. Good times.
  9. The difference between north and south jersey shores goes MUCH further than wardrobe. Being italian and having friends from NYC, I didn't want to address the stereotypes you brought up by mentioning that MTV disaster they wrongly named "Jersey Shore". But, It should have been titled a week in the life of NORTH jersey guidos and the gum popping bimbos that "date" them. No guidos where I hang out. Atlantic City is usualy as far south as that gets. By the way, Ocean City is a NO ALCOHOL town and it has ZERO going on. It's a family vacation spot.
  10. PLEASE do NOT confuse the NORTH Jersey shore with the SOUTH Jersey shore. NORTH Jersey shore=NYC & N. Jersey and everything that goes with it. SOUTH Jersey shore= Philadelphia, flip flops, cargo shorts, drinking with your friends AND multiple generations of your family, no VIP B.S., and a LAID BACK vibe That doesn't look like the staircase I saw immediately after the last jump at the top of Sidewinder. That staircase doesn't look as steep/big as the one from last week and it had a huge crater at the bottom of it. Your not the only one hovering around 200lbs.
  11. Not to argue with you, but I have NEVER seen a bombed out landing at BB's Love park. Has anyone else? Whether it's meant to be or not, It's obvious many people have ollied the staircase at Blue . How do you think the crater got there? I don't want to turn this into a Blue vs BB thread. I only commented on Blue because it was brought up as a place where PASR's hit the park. How much farther do you think JFBB is than Blue from northeast Philly? Don't you think it's about the same and JFBB is worth any additional drive?
  12. Shitting, busting ass, etc. I think you get the picture. I left the hotel room at Breck everytime every time I needed to over the 8 days we were there. My roomate insisted on bombing our hotel room while leaving the bathroom door open and laughed hysterically the whole time. I'm willing to bet that's something you would do to me.
  13. I don't post on any sites unless I have something positive to add or if I feel the need to respond to something that is incorrect or should be in PM. You might require your ski outings to be a "love fest". I just want people that will split costs and show respect. IF they can shred and challenge me in the park, that's a bonus. I've wanted to choke the shit out of a few lately, but as long as people show mutual respect in person and challenge each other in the park, I could care less about the internet BS. I hate or love a park based on how it's build and maintained. JFBB used to SUCK. Now, I prefer JFBB to Blue. If Blue steps up, I'll give them the props they earn. What's wrong with that? Local shop employees say that Blue has been good early in the day during the week. But, I still think they need to spread stuff out and it wasn't well maintained. Sorry. Why is carpooling and house shares too much to ask? What do you think ski clubs are? Whast do youthink they do on bus trips? I'd make a crack about carpooling with the 2 of you, but I'll honor your cease fire. I always bring ear plugs and cologne on ski trips and used both this weekend. FYI, I do all my unpleasantries at the hotel lobby, lodge, or outside instead of at the rooms. I'm not looking for a leg to hump, but thanks. I'm looking for people to shred the parks with. If I meet a great girl who can bomb a mountain, that's just a bonus. My social calendar is just fine though. Thank you for your concern.
  14. I don't ski. I'm looking for other snowboarders to hit the parks with. I don't focus on residential real estate and I NEVER worked with buyers. I have NEVER met anyone in the park from PASR since the PASR day last year when I rode with Glenn and his brother. Shouldn't a "community orientated ride/ski board" be linking other riders together to hit the park" That hasn't been my experience.I greatly appreciate the reports I have read on PASR and I owe this site for turning me back on to JFBB since I wrote off the Pononos for Vermont/Out West in 2003
  15. When & Where is everyone getting together to hit the parks at Big Boulder now that Blue is closed ???? If you are talking about riding Blue every day, I have not been keeping an eye on the Blue forum. I only go into the JFBB, Park, and Other Mountain forums with an occasional stop in the Lounge. Blue became my home mountain at one point, put I gave up on Blue because of the bombed out landings that always busted my ass. I rode Blue recently and found the jump line was too cramped for me and the bomb crater that meets you after ollieing the staircase after the 5th jump reminded me why I gave up on Blue.If I lived close to Blue I would LOVE it and the vertical is nice. But. I'd rather drive to JFBB or Vermont for the consistent park conditions. I must have missed the thread when people were putting together a PASR trip to Whistler. Whistler and Mammoth are the 2 places I want to check out. But, I'm satisfied with a house at JFBB and a few Mt. Snow trips next year. Is anyone interested in the same?
  16. Check my post history from the beginning and see when my "presentation" got ugly. Boozing and schmoozing is great......after a season of park jams and trips. Since I haven't seen any of both, what does PASR have to celebrate? Trail reports and internet feuds? Sorry, a drunken day with shitty conditions at Blue isn't what I came here to find. I admit it would have been fun to close an ACTIVE season like that. But, I have tons of people to booze an schmooze with year round. When are some PASR people going to put some park days and trips together?
  17. I agree. But, the US Open is the biggest event in snowboarding and great reason to go to Stratton. I've had some good times at Stratton in the small and medium parks and carving some of their longer runs. If I do the US Open again, I will stay and ride Mt. Snow and then run over to Stratton for the finals and nightlife.
  18. I made the offer as soon as you started this. I even made a special trip to Blue. Stop stalking me or back it up on the mountain. Simple as that.
  19. Dan-Who started ALL of this bullshit? Was it me? I can't believe some people continue to stalk me after being exposed for what they are. This could have been settled a long time ago by ending the stalking or by meeting up. Douche bag, huh? I'll take that one on the chin because you never started shit before. I've always been willing to let things go and just ride. Who is the ones who keep stalking and starting shit again while never showing up on a mountain in person?
  20. The halfpipe competition is being telecasted again now. http://www.go211.com/burton/usopen/#burton
  21. Ahhhhh........the voice of reason. Well said. I should practice more self restraint here, but I just don't seem to care anymore. 2 seasons of activity on this forum with ZERO PASR park gatherings, trips, or group rentals has me pissed off that I spent so much time on here looking. Especially, now that I found another site that in less than a month has done 3 pocono trips, 2 VT trips, and is already planning a CO trip and 08/09 season rental. I admit that I have only met 2 people that are aggressive park riders over there. So, finding other park riders is the probably the only reason I'll stay active here.
  22. LOL! The troll returns. Look at a map before you start running off at the mouth again. Stone Harbor is a beautiful place to spend the summer................ with your Mommy and Daddy. I haven't the time or the interest to give you an education on the Jersey shore or to let you know what you have been missing your whole life. I started lifeguarding for the summers in Avalon when I was 18 and let's just say I could die tomorrow and be happy. But, at least once this summer I will think of you and laugh because while your pushing grave stones in Allentown, thousands will be having the time of their lives down the shore. How much for a gravestone that reads "GSS"? Might be worth the purchase just to see the look on your face.
  23. If you left the animal at home with someone, you family sounds like perfect shareholders. Allergies of other shareholders need to be considered. All you need is someone who pays their way and respects the house and the other shareholders. Thanks for your generous offer, but I don't do rentals. Although, I have done free "legwork" for friends and had commission owed credited to the deal though. Besides, I don't do much residential anymore.
  24. I don't blame your folks for not renting their house if they don't want the income. But, people do group rentals with "nice" homes all the time. My friends and I do groups rentals of milliion dollar houses on the water in Avalon for the season every year.
