: Hell no. But, I'd like to check out the comp. I just thought the riders would prefer better conditions. Specatating in the rain isn't much fun either.

Does everyone agree that they should just reschedule the event for another time?

Stratton/US OPEN trip spots available 3/21-3/23/08. Who's coming?
TT C6 replied to TT C6's topic in General Chat
I just got this e-mail RE: the Stratton trip: Thu, 6 Mar 2008 10:49:39 -0500 (EST) Hello Everyone, Our Stratton trip is fast upon us, and we still have some open spots!. Though we will need a firm head count soon (by next Wednesday, 3/12/08) so that I can pay for the cabin and the lift tix). We've put up a paypal link on the Getout site to accept payments for this trip. Please head over there and make your payments so that we can move onto the next step. http://adventurers.meetup.com/47/calendar/7412518/ Carpooling. At present, the situation looks pretty good. There are multiple cars and drivers that have graciously volunteered to drive. We will begin coordinating the ride shares next week, so if you have a need or a offer of a ride, please make it known. The carpooling thread is here: http://adventurers.meetup.com/47/messages/.../thread/4240127 And finally, departure times. So far, I'm getting requests for an after work departure, 5-6ish on Friday 3/21/08. This will be my default time for leaving PA. I may move up my own departure time if I can assemble a van load of early leavers, otherwise I'll be leaving afterwork with everyone else. I would personally prefer to leave early so that I can get there first and set up the cabin, and perhaps cook up a nice dinner. -
I AGREE. Where do I sign? Enough is Enough. Mods?

I wanted to find out who from the "Park and Pipe" forum is going to the US Open at Stratton that's being held from 3/17 to 3/23 ???? If you have no plans to go and are thinking about going, check out this thread. http://www.paskiandride.com/forums/index.p...t=0#entry190120 Here are a few US OPEN links: http://www.snowboard-mag.com/node/29718 http://opensnowboarding.com/Information.aspx?openid=USO

Ski and GSS- Are either of you ctually ATTENDING the SALOMON JIB ACADEMY ?????? If not, Why the HELL do you two continue to STALK people and post shit that doesn't CONTRIBUTE to anything. The mods should take notice that these guys are turning people off to this site. Before you guys launch your sarcastic jabs and internet tough guy acts, why don't you actually think about posting something POSITIVE or just not posting anything at all. As far as attacking me, take it to PM or feel free to meet me on the mountain to discuss.

Sorry D. I misunderstood you. I posted in your thread about Boulder tomorrow. Let me know.
-
I'd be happy to pick any Allentown PASR's up at the turnpike that want to hit Boulder. The battling back and forth is getting old.
-
Anybody want to carpool from Philly or the beginning of the NE extension of the turnpike?
-
The only reason I came to this site was to get conditions/park info and to link up with other riders/skiers who were as into hitting the jumps/parks as much as I am. I have met and ridden with a couple of GREAT people, Unfortunately, there is a few guys with a TON of attitude that would rather start shit than just get together and ride/ski. The irony is I don't even NEED to LIKE the people I ride with, as long as they teach me a few things or challenge me to go bigger/get better, I'm happy. Car pooling or sharing a house is always a nice bonus, but it's not like I can't drive myself and get my own hotel rooms. In response to your post: Check my post history and see who actually starts this drama. It sure as hell wasn't me. As far as putting people down.... What am I supposed to do, let some stranger on the internet talk shit and just let it go? YOU, of all people, have ZERO room to talk. You are CONSTANTLY posting sarcastic comments and talking shit. Karma is a bitch. The only reason the car stuff came up is because people were ASKING for car advice. Yes, I have owned many toys and I know what I'm talking about. I only started battling over the topic when people called me a liar and questioned what I know. It was a credibility and respect thing; not bragging about the things I've bought. Who cares what anyone owns? It doesn't mean shit on the mountain. The bottom line is this: I'm still looking for good jumps/parks and for people to ride/ski with that are going to challenge me. Now, can we please drop all the other bullshit?

Nice edit. I caught a look at step down in the backround.

This coming from the O.G. internet tough guy on this forum. Kid. Your own words have embarrassed you to the point that there is nothing left for me to say. Thanks for the laughs.

Nope. Your boyfriend was called out for being the DICK that he is regarding my posts in the other thread. No need. Librider was cool enough to do it for you already. I don't know why you guys didn't just post something like he did a week ago. I said that tabletop and pipe looks great. What more do you want? I'm not going to tell you that it compares to Boulder, because it doesn't. To the rest of you, make sure you crack the same jokes when you see me on the mountain. I doubt it.
-
Thanks for posting the videos. It's greatly appreciated. That tabletop looks like it would be fun for spins. How may feet from lip to landing? The pipe looks great too. I like the jump you guys build at the top on the left. If I lived in Scranton/Wilkes Barre, I'd probably hit your park every day if I could.
-
What are the best instructional videos available? I got my "software" ready to go. It would be great if there were group lessons available at a local mountain so some of us can polish up stuff we are working on. (Big Boulder, Blue, Bear Creek)
-
Here you are STILL posting in a thread you have NOTHING positive to offer. Do everyone a favor and stop wasting bandwidth with your immature bullshit. As for your homosexual tendencies, I'm sure if you do a search you can find other websites for that. Don't go away mad, just go away. :wave :wave :wave

I sincerely wish Sno the best of luck and hope they can build the best parks on the east coast. I have ZERO loyalty to ANY mountain. As a matter of fact, I walked away from my season pass at Big Boulder in 2003 after riding Stratton and Mt. Snow in VT. I tried Bear and Blue for a while for day trips, but swore both off for VT as well. If it wasn't for this site having a PASR day last season, I would have never of gone back to Boulder and found out for myself that they had the best parks in PA....and possibly the east coast. No one should be taking criticism of mountains personally. Everyone should ride a few mountains and then go where they prefer IMHO. But, by asking questions and listening to other members, you can get an idea of what's happening all over without having to actually drive to every mountain. If I didn't find this site and listen to to the people here who actually know what they are talking about, I'd still be driving 10+ hours every weekend. Thank you PASR. Good Luck to Sno and their park crew (Librider, Mike). I hope Sno steps things up. PS It would be great if Sno was able to build and maintian premier parks. I'm sure everything is better in Scranton compared to Lake Harmony. (hotels. restaurants, bars, nightlife, movie theaters, etc, etc) I'd be happy to drive the extra miles to have a better all around weekend experience in Scranton. In the meantime, if any of you prefer riding at Boulder, why don't we set up a PASR ski house for the 08/09 season ???? I'd be the first one to write a check for a place to crash near Boulder. A place to hang out with others who are as serious about riding/skiing would be a nice bonus too.
