Robert- Welcome back. How much are they charging ya for the seasonal locker? I always kept my gear in the closet at my season-rental ski house when we had one. Very convenient and another bonus for having a ski house.
-
Can I suggest you start a separate thread to explain your post? I'm curious now, but don't want to high jack this thread.
-
Thanks for posting. Hope all your locations have a great season. Thanks.

Then you obviously haven't been sued. I've been sued and I've had my ass kicked. I'll take the ass kicking. Being sued, is just a massive inconvenience.

Not to mention the fights that ensue. I had a 40yr old locked up for busting open a 15 year old's face in VT because the kid told him he couldn't hang out in the blind spot of a big jump. (Stratton?) The kid was like 120lbs and the 40yr old was like 200lbs. (fat) WORST CASE you push or restrain a kid. This guy started off with a right cross. Ironically, he then became a blubbering pussy when dealing with the prospect of getting cracked with my board and then the cops locking him up. I've been on the other end of that scenario after a parent actually hit me in the back of his head with his ski pole after he said I got too close to his kid who was hanging out in the blind spot of a 40ft landing. Keep in mind, this was 10 minutes AFTER I politely asked him to protect his kid's by staying off the landings. To top things off, some liftie tried to steal my board after I double ejected to "address" the issue after being hit in the back of the head. Frankly, I don't know if I'm willing to break/bruise another bone in an attempt to avoid landing on someone who crosses in my path AFTER I leave the lip. There is no sense in risking injury to BOTH people when I can at least ensure my safe landing on my board while still trying to avoid a collision.

That's hardcore. My hat's off to ya.

I think anyone who is serious about the park will gladly pay the fee as long as it improves safety in the park. There is nothing worse than practicing "smartyle" and still finding a "out of sight" 10yr old looking up at you from a landing right before impact. I busted my hip pretty bad in VT because I chose to land on my side instead of my board to try to save a kid. It ended my season.

We all can agree on park passes being mandatory for the parks.

Post content is more important than the number of posts. Activity is meaningless if it all sucks.

QFT It's nice to see some objectivity and honesty.

I did Breck for 5 days with EVERYTHING included except meals (2 free meals/parties) for $1099 with the Florida Ski Council. What do you think of these prices? I used to be active with 2 ski clubs, but found we would get better accomidations for less money if 2 or more shared transportation and made our own arrangements.
-
Keep telling yourself that Doug.
-
No. No, you don't ride park. I've seen you ski. Many people here have seen you ski. Let's just leave it at that.
-
That's funny. We're talking about a$$holes that don't ride park but post in park threads and here come Doug. What a shock.
-
Agreed. Unless you ride park, you really have no business posting in a park thread. It's makes you look like an ass and it's annoying.
-
You go out of your way to f@ck with me, I'm gonna respond Dave. Drop the harassment or get use to the result.
-
That's because you haven't been here long enough to realize they were quoting Robert2 to bust his balls. Other than me, I didn't see anyone else posting in this thread offer to help him when he asked for a ride. The only thing I see is people making fun of the guy because he is a little different. As far as all the other BS I'm reading......
-
Lay off Robert2 already. Although he IS different, he is a nice guy. I don't know why you guys pile on people.
-
Nope.I guess there are a few things I need help figuring out. Why don't you PM me your name and # and we'll make it happen?
-
Fuck with the bull, you get the horns.
-
You're right Dave. Maybe if you were home schooled, you could have got into CIA or J&W.
-
He still never gave us the ORIGINAL REASON he is home schooled. Frankly, I DON"T CARE ANYMORE. What I do care about, is the unwarranted grief I get from people like you.
-
Some of you people are OVERLY DEFENSIVE. For all I knew, the kid was a child actor or grew up in a conservative religious home. (hasidic, baptist) Some of you claim I frequently look for fights. Look in the mirror. You guys misinterpreted some simple curiosity and ruined a thread. Congrats.

Hoping for a love connection? Isn't HE a little young for you Doug? At least, Jeff can vote.

In 2003, I traded weekly PA riding for 2 weekends a month in VT. But, I think the PA mountains have stepped it up in recent years and the decision has become harder. Personally, I'd rather ride CB or JFBB every weekend than do VT a few times in 2010. But, if I have to choose between riding PA every other weekend or viding VT once a month, that would be a tough call. Bottom line: As long as you have DECENT terrain to ride, I would choose whatever option gets you the most days of riding. FYI: I answered the kid's riding question in my first post. The most common reasons for home schooling that I know are religious beliefs, child celebrity, and behavior issues. I was curious what his was. What's the big deal with getting the answer anyway? Remember, HE PUBLICLY POSTED HE WAS HOME SCHOOLED IN THE FIRST PLACE.
