Too bad you weren't home schooled, Dave. Maybe you could have gotten into CIA or J&W.
-
Home schooling is pretty rare, and most kid's aren't given the option. Even the president's kids go to a traditional school. So, I assume there is a good story there & he chose to sidestep the question. after publicly posting about it. Fine with me. To the peanut gallery: Re-read this thread and tell me who is starting shit. It isn't me.
-
Hey Core- Butt the F out already. Let the kid answer for himself. There are a lot of reasons for home schooling. I'm just curious since HE POSTED IT.
-
I wasn't being critical, just curious. Why are you home schooled?
-
That's exactly how I feel. As long as everyone pays there way and respects each other, I don't have to who I ride or do trips with.
-
Blue- close to Philly, fast lifts, MTB program CB- great park crew, good effort from park last year, great jump line on Rhodo Park, long season JFBB-Peak Resorts, long seasons, great snow making BC- close to Philly, nice slopeside hotel & restaurant, decent park for a few years, pass holders claim park has improved
-
Over the last 2 years, I think ONE park at JF is only worth hitting if you are at JFBB during the week, during the day. Any other times, I would recommend just going directly to BB.
-
That's a good question. I look forward to hearing responses from people that have a lot of experience riding both locations recently. I rode BC in 2005. The park was pretty good when compared to others at the time. But, the jumps dropped you too much if you hit them with any real speed. I'd like to hear some unbiased comparisons of BC to JFBB, CB, Blue, and VT. Not that it matters, but since you posted it......Why are you home schooled?
-
It's all about girth, not length.
-
You do a lot more than "attempt" to hit rails.
-
I agree that the custom is a good choice. I like riding a big board. They are fast and give me a lot of confidence on bigger jumps.
-
And you probably had to blow him to get in the ride with you. I'll let you come with us next time we do another VT trip.......but your gonna have to ride in the trunk.
-
I'm 190lbs and rocked a 160 Custom with no problems.
-
Have a fun and safe trip. My aunt lives in Norway and I wonder how close she is to the snowboard camp. How was the camp and would you recommend it? Links?
-
Apparently the "cool" kids like to call the white ribbon of death a WROD. I'm not dong a WROD outside of PA at a place that I don't have a season pass. But, that's just me.
-
Looking forward to this year's park.
-
Yup. They did that so people will buy their season pass at CB this year. They don't do it so people can buy a season pass elsewhere knowing they're just going to take advantage of CB's generosity every year. If you took advanatge of CB's generosity last year, and you enjoyed their mountain, you should AT LEAST consider buying this year's season pass. If not, you gotta feel oblilgated to refer some business to them mid season, don't ya?
-
Thanks there, Travis Rice. A lot of people feel the same way we do. I agree. Sidewinders are for the reptile cage, not the jump line.
-
Are you saying that management at JFBB are toolbags?
-
What ARE you recommending? I know you live in Blue's backyard, but where are you buying your pass next year?
-
CB has a new park manager/crew and they have really stepped up their park. I can definitely agree that some PA mountains have serious management issues, but I have not experienced that at CB. If I was a freerider, I would do a season pass in VT and try to organize a group to share rides and either a seasonal rental or hotel rooms with. But, I know a lot of freeriders like Blue. Since PA hills are so small, I think it's all about the park scene here. So, I would recommend getting a pass at CB.

Nice setup. Reminds me of building skate parks when I was younger. How much time and money into that?

Autotrader is a must for selling a vehicle. Ebaymotors is worth checking out as well. Good luck.
-
Good luck with the sale. Make sure you take out an add in cycletrader and post it in the for sale section on the Yahmaha sportbike forums. I've never sold anything on ebaymotors.com, but now that they are doing search by zip code, you might want to check them out as well. I think the R6 is a great first bike for an adult who has some maturity, self control, and a basic understanding of the way engines and tires work.

CB's turf setup looks fun in this video: http://www.common-grind.com/common/pg/izap...redder/play/567 LOVED the Black Sheep track.
