It wasnt bad yesterday, took connector to mainstreet first run (around 10am) to get to the lower park and six lift. almost got destroyed by the death cookies as i came in super fast after hoping at the top of connector and taking it pretty far down. lapped the park pretty much all day but did dreamweaver and some others on that side of the mtn too. it wasnt bad but it was pretty much like a game of dodge the gapers. didnt see ski patrol all day which was weird. park was legit jumps were nice and the rails werent bad. the handrail in sidewinder, rainbow in come around, and the down rail and aframe next to the air bag are probably the best out there. over all fun day ill be back next friday hopefully around 9 as i also got caught in the traffic on 22.

butter pad to urban down rail!
-
exactly... photo shoot with the locals??? i think so. or just get someone out there dressed in the bear suit like 2 years ago when they did it.
-
nah you don't its mad beat. you get a forgotten pass ticket but i wouldn't try to use it because it cancels out your season pass for the day and if they catch you they take your pass for the season. if you take your friend on a monday though its only $20 if he has his college i.d
-
its actually only that one guy that makes them haha. he broke the bottom one when he tried to stand it up. the tree jib is actually mad fun. its a piece of the tree they cut down?
-
heading up now. hopefully the tubing jumps are as good as they were on sunday.
-
we pulled in at like 10 on Saturday and they were parking people in the second lot which is when we proceeded to drive past and get a second row spot. never park where they tell you to and you'll always get a better spot.

new donky rail<333 although it did destroy the edge of my ski. the round rail before it is shaky though. i enjoy the new setup i like those four rails better than that one jump we barely ever had speed for. first jump on cascade could be rebuilt... its getting a little mellow.
-
I am down, i also think a rail jam or something of the sorts would be a lot of fun. you might be able to get around bears insurance if its for charity and the money is not going to them.
-
this. it was madd nice yesterday. they blew the night before but the snow was actually fast which was super nice. everything in cascade was hittable usually there is no speed for the second jump after the flat rail.
-
yeah i was waiting for my mom to pull up the car. i cant say i remember seeing you but say hi on the hill sometime!
-
the candy cane is atleast a one foot hop up. the only thing that ocould be higer is the arbor rail. on a seperate note the flat down is setup weird. not bad just mad weird.
-
Both the down flat down and skate rail in cascade are super low just by themselves. they cant be any higher unless you want them to float in the air. i did a horrible job of explaining so in my last post so hopefully this picture helps
-
Have you even been to bear in the past week? because pretty much nothing is as you claim... especially after the parks got raped by the warm weather and rain. the candy cane is as big a hop on as it can get as is the skate rail in cascade. if they were any lower the lip would be right on the supports/feet. if you hit the thick tube in blackbear aka the candy cane straight on then... you're doing it wrong lolzz. the dfd is also as urban as it can get due to its height and how its fabricated with the feet right at the end if it was more urban you would be riding across the feet on the lip. down rails are for people that can hit down rails? you're right no one at bear can hit down rails besides you. yess indeed. also orange nike jacket and light blue nike pants on occasion. EDIT: Tom if i don't see a park filled with urban down rails and only urban down rails by tomorrow i'm quitting bear creek.
-
i was at blue most of the day but i stopped at bear on the way home so i was there around 430-8. it wasnt bad... i mean we are getting brown spots which was super disappointing considering it didnt even rain yet and today and its january but the park was in good shape aside from brown spots in places that were already thin.
-
i will be there tomorrow sometime.
-
for sure thats what i was talking about a few posts back about the old big flat down and stuff that were acually on the mounds of snow that the lips for the jumps were on.
-
we have one downrail that isnt slightly urban right now? which is the one down rail in cascade where the butter box was. i do agree that thing is setup madd weird and feels weird but float a spin onto it and its actually fun. the down bar in blackbear is just burried as ever and i would predict it will be a higher hop on when a full rebuild is done, but it really shouldnt be because its in blackbear and that should be a park where people who are learning can go for flat boxes and easier jumps to learn on, where cascade can have higher hop ons and more challenging rails and bigger jumps. bear needs to serve to everyone, not just us locals which is frustrating at times but really we want to ride a good down rail or a nice floaty jump just as much as someone wants to do their first 50-50 on a box.
-
paolo and justin got it... i'd like to see a bonk out when they do a rebuild, along with some type of butter pad feature... they're always so fun because you can do spins onto the snow, then hit the rail. if we get the snow, i always liked how they used to have some bigger rails like the rainbow and the old flat down rail on the deck of the jumps in black bear. it seems like its just better for the bigger rails to be setup on a mound. hopefully with the warm up this weekend some of the natural snow that we just got melts off of the parking lots and stuff so we have more water to blow with.

BCironworks & GoPro - Opening Edit Contest !$!$!$!

i think they focused a lot on the actual editing. not sure if thats your video or not and i dont edit so im not really one to say but i didnt notice any use of transitions or effects. effects can take away from teh video if theyre used excessivly and it wasnt bad, but without them the video seems choppy, it doesnt flow. also if gopro donated the cameras for prizes they want something in return, which is the advertising they get by getting their logo in the videos. -
please no more than one or two skate rails. i hate going to boulder and they have an entire trail of rails with no lips. cannon with big gap is all i want<33 and the new donky rail.

i creeped youtube mad hard and they are all here http://www.youtube.com/user/BearCreekMtnResort i think -
could they close cascade for a day and build it perfect with mad stuff? because it seems a night is not enough time. after gapetastic week.
-
once we have more snow 4 rails wide should be no problem maybe even five because we went four wide last year with the snowmakers and light poles in the middle of the trail. we could probably go five but maybe cut it close but if the groomers were extra careful probs would work?
