Those wooden rails on snowdrift are super fast. Definitely wasn't ready for that. Having some powder was definitely great, it was a new feeling for me going off that first jump on boulder park and having a super soft landing. Good times. I was told they are putting a quarter pipe where the plaza was. Is that for the Trans Am? If not, anyone know where Trans Am will be setting up?

I heard it will be all rails, but Trans. brings their own.

Well, the word is no new bindings for me. They are going to replace the highback, and lost hardware.

Nope, no snow features right now. Just the two boxes, wall ride, and log jib. The log jib looks kinda hairy though. Its right in front of one of the light poles. I saw a kid fall off it on the backside last night, thought he was in some trouble, but he rode away.

I agree Mike n Matt's awesome. I was never really in there until this past weekend, where I ended up spending a couple hours there. The guy Jim who works there is top notch, he really knows his stuff and was quite helpful.

What part you think is shit, about my knee or being covered under warranty? They are last years model, but I still purchased them less than a year ago, so I figured I at least had a shot at a warranty replacement. We'll see how it plays out.

Purchased 2007 Flow NXT-AT late last season. 2 weeks ago: Broke the front left strap 1 week ago: Broke the front right strap 2 days ago: Complete destruction 5th run of the day, I did a 3 off of the 3rd little jump on One Park at JF. Landed a little hard, and this is the result. Definitely was a big downer for the day. I ended up going to Mike and Matts and picking up a sweet pair of Tech Nines that I'm very happy about so far. On a plus note, I brought the bindings back to store I purchased them and it seems like I'll be getting a replacement in the mail shortly. The guy at the store said it was definitely a situation covered under the warranty, and also that 'your knee should have given out before this happened'. Thats comforting.

Good to hear. I'm planning on heading out to BB in about an hour, and was hoping for the best.

My earbuds that came with my ipod start to give me grief after an hour or so of use. Anyone have any recomendations on some headphones? In ear, or over the ear, whatever works. Basically just looking for something comfortable that could stand up to the weather reasonably well.

It was towards the end of the day, and the only other person on the trail was the guy who stopped me.

I'm not saying I'm the cats pajamas or anything, but I'm certainly competent enough to play in some trees. I thought the guy was just trying to flex a lil muscle, and I called him out on it. In the end it wasnt that big a deal. I do agree with the points being made though, it would be a shame to lose access to those areas.

Got out to JF on Sunday for the first time this season. Overal excellent day, good conditions, not so many people. I did have one awkward encounter though. After taking several runs down Thunderbolt, a couple of us decided to explore the trees and the glade trail to the right. After riding it for a short while we shot back out onto the main slope at which point we were stopped by someone working for the mountain. JF_Emp: Stick to the trails boys or we'll have to mark your ticket Me: Correct me if I'm wrong but doesnt JFBB have and open terrain policy? JF_Emp: Well,...its suspect. And then proceeded to fumble on somemore words uncomfortably ended with, "just dont get hurt". What was that all about? We did end up going back down the trail and werent hasseled anymore.

Thanks for the info. I saw that website with the motels, but was just asking for some first hand experience since most of the webpages seemed pretty out-dated. Sounds like its going to be a good time though.

A friend and I were thinking about going up to Belleayre this fri/sat. Anyone know of a cheap place to stay for fri night? And additionally, any one have any mountain updates and or slope recomendations. I've never been, but the trail map looks pretty tasty.
