Mentioned were: some skiers/riders not getting along, and lift issues. Aside from those is there really any advantage to not having riders? I think I've heard boards mess up the snow, but I can't imagine its any worse than some skier sporting a full pizza. Just seems silly to me.

I think the mt could pry handle the traffic just fine, maybe not my wallet though. I'm pretty sure during those 2 weeks, lodging prices are going to be jacked up everywhere. Like you said though, before and after might not be too bad.

I'm def scheming on going there as well, but isn't next year the olympics? That pry means 4 billion people, might want to wait a year.

Decade makes it sound so much longer than 10 years.

Best exchange rates are in the casino, and they are always open.

Excellent day today. And my dad rocked his old school pink jacket, so that rocked.

I was there as well. What were you wearing? I pretty much just lapped Love/Freedom with my buddy. I was wearing red pants.

I'm attempting to get there.

1. I just cant agree with. Almost everytime I was there the park crew made at least two runs through the parks to clean up lips and such. I was there last night, there were 7 people tops riding the mt. And they still came out and fixed the lips. 3. I word hardly call freedom terrible. I agree it could have used a battleship. But for a strip of land that is basically flat, I think it was good. Granted when it got crowded it wasnt all that much fun to sit and wait for everything, especially since you couldn't get enough speed at that point. But when you could cruise down and hit 4/5 rails in a row, its money. I can understand some of your other points though. I certainly encountered a sticky rail or two. And never really gave any love to the wood park. Overall I think they did a good job. Could it be better sure, but isn't that true for every park?

What exactly was so shitty about Boulder this year?

Glad to hear the conditions are holding up. I'm still hoping to squeeze a couple more days in.

Haven't actually done this myself yet, but I believe you just apply wax as normal. Just don't scrape it until next season.

The bar for writing trip reports has been raised. Good work. Kudos to you.

can downgrade "great season deals" to something like decent. As long as you can get a season pass to far superior mts for less than we pay, I don't think the prices can be considered great. I do realize our mts pay a premium to blow as much snow as they do, but that still doesn't make me feel better. Now if the pocono season pass for say $650 comes around, then were in business.

you are correct sir

So this past weekend I was at Stowe. It sucked major ass. It rained heavily Friday and then got uber cold Friday night. So I would have been better off bringing my ice skates. Super sad considering every person I talked to said some form of "this is the worst day in two weeks". Perfect. In any case, I spent a large portion of my weekend at the bar at the base of the spruce peak. Pretty nice over there. It was only a warming tent with major construction last year, and now its a fully operational lodge/bar. Hung out with some locals most of the day and found out that they were all a part of this ski club: http://classicskitours.net/vermontTravel.asp It's $35/year. But the savings are excellent. A two day trip to Stowe and your already doing better than breaking even on the card. It's good at most of the major resorts in VT.
