I think they're limiting the number of people on hill to reduce crowds. Like seriously putting a cap on how many people can be on at any given time.

They've got the bigger pond. Unless they put a dome over the mountain there's not much they can do about the weather.

Most of the reason they're raising ticket prices is because of the expenses of running the expanded hotel and increased utilities.

GOSSIP I heard that they were getting 900 new snowmachines that can work when its 50 degrees out and they're replacing all the lifts with 6-packs and putting a rope tow to pull fat people up the steps to the lodge and they're cutting 15 new trails and getting 35 new rails and hiring a whole platoon of new people for the park crew and they're bringing in illegals to shovel snow for the jumps and they're hosting the 2011 Winter X-Games

Well yeah, I thought they were replacing it with another quad but I havent seen any work started so I got to wondering and all.

I'd also have to be home every day at around sunset. Dunno if I can pull that off in-season. Would still be cool. Maybe I'll just do it every morning when I get up (noon).

Basically, I'm going to take a snapshot of Bear from the webcams around sunset every day until they're open. I'll assemble that shizzy in Photoshop come December and we'll have something fun to look at. Why I make this into a thread now you ask? Why not wait until its finished to post it? Because I'm hella bored, thats why.

Just counter sink screws. It works fine but the topsheet has to be thick enough or it'll crack around the screw. Mine cracked but it was because I used thin plexi and I pushed down on those screws too hard. Plexi is brittle wheras lexan isnt, technically they're both plastic though. You can use plexi, but its gotta be thick enough and you gotta watch it when it gets cold out because then it cracks easier.

When I tried counter-sinking screws into a sheet of plexi on my box the plexi cracked all around the screw.

I'd honestly prefer if nobody said anything about BC's improvements during the off season. C'mon, dont you people like surprises?

I too saw it somewhere a while back. I feel happy when I see a resort thats as fun as a big western mountain that isnt in the big west... well I guess the big midwest counts anyway.

Of course it has to be in Massachusetts, but at least we've got till august to figure out how to get there.

Right, I might just take them from his garage before he leaves. It's just that its either the skiis or a new ipod. If I can get them for less though then I might be able to swing both.

I've snowboarded for 5 years now, but my friend who is going to college in Florida offered to sell me his skiis when he leaves. I've never tried skiing but it seems interesting enough so I thought I'd give it a try next winter. The skiis he's selling are 04/05 Rossingol Scratches and he's selling them for $300. Is a good deal or not? They've got binders on em already and I think he's throwing in a pair of Rossingol boots too.
