Whats the deal with the drop rail? I swear thats the most retarded thing I've ever seen... we'll not really but its up there.

I was up yesterday and seriously that butterpad is a joke. The landing is way too big, way too steep, and all the noobs who can only hit boxes put a huge rut in the landing. The fact that the drop off is big makes it worse. Move that thing somewhere else, somewhere flatter.

Im feelin it if the cold sticks by mid month.

I vote that they plant lots of pine trees and blow snow over them to make gladed runs.

Coldness pervades as of now... no changes although the storm may be delayed a couple days (if it happens at all) and the temperatures look close... btw I mean coldness after next week obviously its going to be ridiculously warm starting this weekend...

They're trying to keep the whole mountain open that's all. This way they'll have better conditions on the whole mountain although admittedly I think they are stretching themselves kinda thin. It would be better to focus their snowmaking in key areas rather than spreading it out as to survive the next warm up.

Not too bad although you get constricted to one lane on a few of the narrower trails. There's slush and dirt spots here and there but it hasn't totally fallen apart yet.

The triple is not an old generation lift. I guess the actual chairs are but they painted over them anyway. Before the mountain changed ownership Doe had plans to cut trails past timberline so there is room to expand.

People need to watch out between the flow box and the up box. Kids were standing not even 10 feet from the landing at some points.

Setup urban stuff in cascade as to save space for a big jump line in tubing. btw isn't it odd that refer to the expanded lower part of cascade as tubing. Its not exactly tubing anymore...

Is Elk's park as limited as it was two years ago? It looked really really small when I was there. I say looked because it wasn't open, and it was January.
