pump your brakes...it was his first time in gates in years...i thought he did pretty damn well.

The place was pretty empty by the time I got on the snow around 6:20pm. Even the headwall on Razors was pretty damn smooth. Lazy mile was awesome for warning up on the slalom skis and the racing conditions were pretty much ideal. Will be nice for 3-6" of fresh on top of the already decent conditions.

2nd place overall finish by team PASR tonight. We were 29 seconds out of first, but 18 seconds clear of 3rd. *very* turney course tonight...the most technical we've ever had by far. pretty flowly course though, i enjoyed it. We're adding a 6th member to the team tonight...JohnnyLaw...conditions should be pretty nice.
-
we have totally different conditions when it's 0F than you do. snow in PA is rarely ever squeaky, as it is frequently in cold conditions out west. 0F conditions could be total sugar here.

I use the same wax all the time, and have pretty fast skis. Toast now has a pair of my skis that have 20+ waxings from me and they're fast as shit. Saturated bases > the "right" wax IMO.

we usually hit camelback in the spring when they start accepting passes from other mtns.

yes, worst night of the week by far.

If you're going friday, make sure you're out of CB before 4pm when the school groups starting showing up.

I really don't understand why people rate Corbet's so high, it's hardly the test of an expert skier. It's a test of the biggest testicles.

Highlight of the night was watching JohnnyStyle and Toast go head to head in a true dual slalom. It was pretty damn close but Johnny opened up the gap on the headwall to squeak out a few tenths faster. Great night.

tonight was *perfect* for slalom skis on lazy mile. scraped off grippy ideal racing conditions (not so much for johnnystyle on razors...it was bulletproof ice on every gate...looked dangerous). it was nice being out on the slalom skis and getting a workout. my legs are definitely feeling it right now. as for monday nights, we'll see....cross blocks aren't the easiest.

We'll be on the snow by 7 at the latest...i assume you'll still be there?
