  1. Well, I'm done with boot pain/discomfort, unbuckling boots, etc. I'm investing the money to deal with fucked up feet.
  2. Session 1: consultation, bio-mechanical assessment, initial mold for custom foot beds. ~2 hours of 1-on-1 time (yesterday). Session 2 I'll bring my new boots, and he'll start tearing them apart. He's got a bunch of stuff he's patented himself for modifying boots, 7+ sewing machines (for modifying liners). He'll finish up the foot beds and we'll see where my alignment is within the boot. Most likely I'll need canting and some lifts. He'll finish up the work and then I'll come back a third time for final tweaks and delivery
  3. I had my first boot fitting session with Billy Kaplan this afternoon. Great stuff!
  4. he'll do whatever it takes to get me 1800 miles away but really...it's all on me. Including the time where you sat up front and I was in the back. You're welcome.
  5. The ER4's are only eclipsed by the CRJ200 in terms of worst planes ever. The CR7's are nice, but the Embraer E170/175s are about the most comfortable plane out there (UA or UAX). I actually prefer the 757 for upgrade purposes due to the 24 first class seats. And the fact that you get to turn left when you board Agreed...$200 and I'm 100% driving to Newark or Philly.
  6. Doesn't really bother me because I generally feel more confident flying mainline UA out of PHL vs UAX out of ABE when it comes to on time performance. I always leave extra connection time when flying out of ABE (gate not available, waiting for gate checked bag, the hike from E/F to B/C in ORD, etc). So, I take the 6am out of ABE instead of the 7am out of PHL/EWR for the same connection in Chicago. It takes me an hour to get to PHL/EWR,...not having to drive is nice, of course. And, flying to Jackson out of ABE was over $100 less than either PHL or EWR (no brainer). I love to support the airport...100% of work travel is out of ABE, but it's hard to justify ABE (recently) for personal travel. In the past two years, I've flown 26 trips out of PHL/EWR and only 3 personal trips out of ABE (and I can go from my couch at home to the jet bridge in <15m minutes). When American cancelled their ABE-ORD service, United jacked their prices back up. The airport saddled with huge debt due to a lawsuit over land from the early 90's. Frontier was going to add ABE-DEN service in addition to their ABE-Orlando service, but when ABE decided to jack up their fuel prices, Frontier decided to pull out completely. Shitty times for the airport. If we didn't have PHL and EWR <75miles away, we'd have much better service (mainline, more destinations, etc). Where do you draw the line though? What's the convenience of ABE worth? $50 more? $100 more? $150 more?
  7. Just booked 7 days of skiing at JH for less than last year, and we're flying out of ABE instead of PHL. Pretty good deal.
  8. usually starting sometime late February I think?
  9. no season pass anymore = not much skiing...you live close to blue...why not snag a pass? There is *always* someone to ski with at Blue.
  10. A friend booked a villa at the base of Heavenly's gondola. Haven't skied in the Lake Tahoe area...should be fun.
  11. Looks like I'm going to do a quick pre-christmas Tahoe trip to meet up with some friends. JADIP
  12. I don't know who did your fitting at Nestor's (Sr?) but a lot of the same shop guys are still there (Adam is probably your best bet). The biggest problem is, they really don't catry any higher-end boots. If you're only looking for something in the 100 flex range, then Buckman's has your boot. I haven't been to the Loft in years, so I can't comment.
  13. I'm still hoping to be water skiing in a month....I wouldn't complain if it were too cold
  14. Just scheduled an appointment with Billy Kaplan of Performance Pedorthics to do a consult and bio-mechanical review. Step 1 of getting new boots
  15. All opinions is right...Tride is drier, way less acreage, etc, etc. But, I want to get back, and they've added new terrain, so back I will go. But, I like Aspen for more than the skiing.
  16. I hope to do 7 ski days in JH...then a Telluride/Aspen double header for two weeks. 6 ski days in Tride with some friends and then fly up to Aspen for 7 ski days with Jstyle. Would be nice to hit 20 days out west this year. Subject to change
  17. most of your "fans" and "groupies" want you banned...
  18. Doug...get the sand out of your fucking vagina you douchebag.
  19. I agree.
  20. I look pretty focused in this pic
  21. 184cm Volkl Mantras....2mm wider, a little wider radius, and some tip rocker compared to my previous pair of mantras
  22. Just bought some new Volkl Mantras....2mm wider than the last and some tip rocker. Should make for a fun ride.
