Yes...they don't want to waste money. But, that has never stopped BB from trying in the past. If you're going to build up a reputation as being the first to open every year by a considerable margin, it's a risk you have to take. agreed. they could have been open if they wanted to. I know enough about snowmaking that at 20F, they can blow at any humidity level.

4-5 trips? You say that every year. Last year was the first time you went on two trips.

Doug and I skied 15"+ during a Noreaster on April 15th a few years ago at Belleayre. It was my first time actually skiing the whole mountain. I had previously only skied Onteora on opening weekend.

The Belleayre drive is no sweat...and an easy day trip. It's 3hours or so from the B. I always enjoyed catching up to GSS on Root 28

yes it idoes. hopefully this moisture follows us in the winter but with colder temps.
