  1. Forgot you were out there. I'm thinking of coming out for a few days late January or mid Feb.
  2. Awesome Timeless. The scenery is spectacular, and those ticket prices are hard to beat. Hell, $56 for a full day is almost the same price as Blue Mountain. How much longer you going to be there? Any more ski days in store?
  3. what are you talking about? the picture is there
  4. tomorrow should be decent. The rain will help melt the cookies and smooth things out. I wouldn't be surprised if conditions improved my new boots are coming along nicely. Can't wait to get them fully broken in.
  5. wow...sounds like fun. I've been thinking about going to the Tahoe area sometime this winter. Fares out of ABE are extremely low and would be about 4 cents/mile. Combo mileage run/ski trip. How long you out there for?
  6. I managed to enjoy this season pass holder perk at CB while skiing early one weekend morning with CB patroller TeleBen. It made me realize that Blue needs to do this ASAP, or even just open at 7:30 again. Having that 1/2 hour of "alone" time was freakin awesome.
  7. I think I'm going to sleep in....
  8. wow...you weren't kidding about that medical grade shit!
  9. wow...their omelette's are good. toast...sounds good...GSS can eat by himself.
  10. Fuck the Whitehall Family Diner...BMDI is on the way home for everyone. OK, looks like the table is already full...no more roomy for anyone else without one of those steezy 6 person tables.
  11. Toast/Justo/Tmaki are getting "old" for being park rats. They're OG as far as the park scene in PA is concerned.
  12. Justin's report is more what I thought the conditions would be in the afternoon. I question those who say it "softened up" when it was 29 degrees out
  13. Glad to hear it got better...I'm sure another pass with the groomers tonight will make it much better for tomorrow's AM session.
  14. I noticed on my way out that Blue now has an armed security guard. He was carrying something in a Blackhawk SERPA holster and had cuffs on his "duty belt". Watch out speeders on Paradise!
  15. The phrase of the day is lipstick on a pig. Left my house at 7:30am and pulled into the Blue lot at 8am. As I crested the hill in the parking lot the parked cars were way back by the employee entrance with a guy directing people into spots. So I kept on going and the guy kept pointing into a spot, I pointed forward and he wanted to play chicken. He told me they were making a delivery and the road was blocked. LOL, only Blue would have delivery opening day causing the road to be blocked. Others around me were pissed, so I backed up, spun around, and went down the road the opposite way and went into the 2nd row where there were 0 cars. Prime parking spot. Turns out...they were delivery seasonal lockers. WTF. Walked out to the snow and was the first one there around 8:13am. A mellow crowd for opening day, people didn't really get in line until 8:26am. At 8:30am, someone walked out of the lodge and in front of the rope and said "Have fun!" I busted out in front, and wasn't really a competition. I flew down Midway to Main Street. Snow was decent, but very firm. Hard to get any kind of grip, but it was smooth. I could tell there were going to be cookies in a few runs. Skied a run or two then NSJay was waiting for me at the top of the lift while tweeting a picture of Blue Mountain. We skied did a few laps on Main Street, then started doing some bump runs to help break them in. Cookies were coming out in full force so the bumps were the "safe" place to be. We eventually saw Johnny Law fly by us and we caught up with him at the bottom. Nice meeting a new PASR, and someone who will hopefully be part of the early morning weekend Blue Crue. After a few runs with him, we met up with AH at the top, and then Root showed up. Everyone seemed to be having fun. The cookies weren't as bad as last year, but were still there. There is some new glitter at Blue, but it's still Blue Mountain. Some things don't change. The cookies... The glades were looking legit though. Even TGR maggot Johnny Law thought they looked nice. We'll see what the ones on Lazy look like. Anyway...JADIP. Glades... Some of the rest of the pics from around...
  16. any word on when the east side is opening?
  17. Nope...
  18. i'm stuck behind a desk
  19. We're all huge offenders of walking on pavement at Blue with our boots on. There really is no way around in. Even now with out far away the snow is going to be from the lodge up top, it's hard not to destroy boots. After 180 days on my old Langes, the heel/toe pieces weren't chewed up as bad as I thought. Too much hassle to put on cat tracks to walk from the snow to the car, especially on powder/beer days.
  20. Well, anytime people goto smallers boots, I know they're getting a better fitting boot, Toast included. I think people often buy boots that are too big just for instant in store comfort. If it's uncomfortable in the store...it's a good fit
  21. I wouldn't want to reuse "dirty" wax...
  22. Even after 1 pair of skis, I get it all over the floor and inadvertently track it all over the house.
  23. No you didn't. Let's continue this in the other thread.
  24. hmm...interesting idea. I usually skip the vacuuming part and have made a mess all over my basement.
  25. Awesome. Any idea when Boulder trail is getting features?
