Good evening from Aspen Relaxing in the Style's badass abode in Aspen. Good night everyone...highlands tomorrow?

Just touched down in Denver. Johnny said there was an accident on Vail pass and it was shutdown. He apparently waited it out at Copper. Haven't heard from him since we took off.

Don't know yet...Johnny was in Denver as of 3pm so I'm sure he'll post in a few hours what the plan is.

In the Philly airport right now at Vino Volo enjoying a flight of California reds with some cured meat. We board in an hour!

I'll be Aspen bound as of 5pm this afternoon out of Philadelphia en route to Denver, connecting on to Aspen, hopefully touching down around 9:55pm MST. As of last night, JohnnyStyle was in Salina, Kansas and should be motoring across the plains as we speak. I've never been to Aspen, so I'm pretty stoked to get there after being in Jackson Hole earlier this winter, and the prospect of some snow has the stoke market through the roof. I don't know if the purple wig will be out this trip, but I'm sure it'll be fun nevertheless. I'll be skiing four days, with a stop at Aspen, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and a repeat to one of the mountains. Stay tuned for updates, pictures, and TR's...

Ya, it was pretty prime last Saturday for the [best] PASR day [ever] that you missed!

I'm staying at a fellow PASR member's house @ Snowmass, so no hotel for me.

Still debating about making some turns Saturday morning...

Looks like my travel day into Aspen is going to be clear. My first day at Aspen might also be bluebird with 8"+ Sunday into Monday with snow continuing Monday and Tuesday.

exactly...those were the days.

sure the top 3" is natural, but the bottom 5 feet is man made. The base they have is so freakin deep, there won't be any bare spots closing weekend as there used to be back in the days of ray tuthill.

I don't know if you've skied early weekend mornings when Johnny and Chris spent countless hours stomping the shit out of the bumps, but they do a pretty awesome job before the bumps are ever hit by any skiers. With the warm weather, they'll have no problem getting them just right by Saturday.

I prefered when passes were free for other passholders at the end of the season.

I have a feeling that freeski hasn't skied any of the bumps that they've built already.

They closed 3/22 in 07/08 as well....it seems to be a new trend.

They closed the 22nd last year, so basically the same day.

The 21st? WTF...they've have to be having one of their best seasons with all these crowds as of late, but yet they can't even stay open until the next weekend? I know it's just a rumor, but knowing the new Blue, they'll close. Welp, I've always enjoyed skiing CB after Blue closes, for free.
