hahahaha anyway....a-lines are amazing. I had the fully custom blue ones before, and the a-lines are 100x better. My boots went from unbearable with fully custom insoles to near perfect with the alines. Do it.

There is a huge PARA race on Saturday. 200+ racers plus their parents. Ugh. It's going to be packed on Saturday.

There are lockers. You can bring your stuff into the lodge to the lockers. Nobody will give you crap about fixing your board. What time are you showing up on Friday? GrilledSteeze and I will be there on Friday, as well.

razors edge had the best snow...it was just too damn windy.

yes we do. my previous best was like 43k right? That was a long mofo day. We'll do it in the spring sometime. edit....46,360 was the magic number...Did it march 9th, 2007. twas a friday during my spring break.

I got on the snow around 3:15pm. Lift line was almost out of the corrals, but there was not a single person in the VIP line, so on the lift I went. After about 3 runs, there were like 0 people in the lift line...I even skied right onto the lift a few times without stopping. As the night went on, crowds picked up again due to the arrival of school groups. When I left at 5:30pm, the line was again out of the corral. Anyway...on to snow conditions. The snow was NICE. I only skied Razors and Challenge as I was rocking my GS:12s. It was pretty windy, and I couldn't reach a high enough velocity in order to really crank out the turns, but I still had enough speed for GS turns down Razors and Challenge. Challenge was the trail to be on due to be sheltered a bit more from the wind. Snow was grippy and smooth. If not for the wind, it would've been an awesome night. I got in two nice bonus days during the week that I usually don't, so I'm in a good mood right now. There is a race on Friday that will have Razors closed all day on Friday, and Saturday, so it was motivation to get out this afternoon for some turns on Razors w/ my big sticks. See everyone this weekend! Oh ya...forgot to mention...Zaldon was in the house, but never got to ride the lift with him.

The way MM is situated it traps moisture and essentially "wrings out" the clouds, dumping an insane amount of snow in a short period of time. Unfortunately, last weeks mixed precipitation has caused some snow instability requiring the use of some explosives to stabilize the snowpack for safe skiing and riding. MM is a privately owned and operated ski area, and is unfortunately, not lift serviced. Earning your own turns at MM is worth it.
