You can sign up on race day. Race fees vary from day to day, but lift ticket + race fees is usually about the cost of a normally priced lift ticket at that mountain, so it works out in the end.

Since you're still "new" to racing, and not that big of a guy, I wouldn't go past a 120/130, really. As soft as they may feel in the show, they'll be stiff on the snow, especially when its 25 degrees outside, not 70 degrees in the shop, which makes a huge difference. Just keep that in mind when shopping for boots, and as someone new to racing, don't think you immediately have to jump into the stiffest things, because it will hinder your performance. Stiffer != Better

Back when I skied with you, I sucked. As for that debate, I've done both and I will say this. Snowboarding is harder to start out, but easier to be good at. Skiing is very easy to start out, but much harder to get to an expert level.

December 6th is a Thursday, is it not? I doubt CB would do a Thursday opening.

Im predicting we'll see most local mountains with "big" firepower to open next Friday. Yes, even Camelback (though, I don't recall if they do Friday openings?)

There is reason why when I develop websites, I have someone else do the design, but I still know or thing or two about what is right and what is wrong. What's the worst thing wrong with that site? Using flash for the whole entire website, and thus creating their own scroll bar, which isn't linked to a scroll wheel on the mouse. That is simply unacceptable. Worst design site ever in terms of navigation. That site could have EASILY been developed using a static images and a little javascript. Sure would have made for an easier site to navigate. Sorry BB, that site fails hardcore, and I didn't even mention the very similar colors used for backgrounds and fonts. Nothing pops!

Cops can think what they want to think, but no sane judge will grant a search warrant without some kind of probable cause, not what a cop thinks. If there is no smell, and nothing laying out, then he's going to have a hard time getting a search warrant. At any rate, always refuse a search. One thing I've learned is if a cop is trying to walk all over, ask what his name is, and then ask who his supervisor is. Usually makes them take a step or two back. I did it this past weekend. Works well.

TP4, did you grant them permission to search your car?
