  1. you're not allowed to post here until you buy skidude beer. im serious.
  2. isnt the idea to do the opposite that cb does?
  3. and slow.
  4. hah, those are the rentals they had at Blue a few years ago
  5. Because he parks in handicap spots, with the philosophy that handicap people don't ski,
  6. Welcome to PASR Thanks for that post, hopefully it puts the argument to rest.
  7. Fck Womens outwear for 2008. They should all ski naked!
  8. Nipples loves the SFRB, so maybe he can hook it up out in JH
  9. It's dangerous to have people following you, cause then you're wondering if they're keeping up/behind you, and they're always trying to follow you. Most of the time I make sure people know where they're going so they don't follow me. It's another thing if everyone knows where they're going, then you can rip. The point of traveling in a pack on the highway is that you use the lead car for radar cover. The fact of the matter is most troopers won't shift out of park for anything under 15mph over. My one friend who is PSP won't pull out for anything under 20mph over, unless you're tailgating, now that is generous
  10. tp4 just pwn3d teh jordan
  11. haha i saw that too....i was a little worried
  12. Jordan obviously doesn't read TGR
  13. knuckled and i are are paying $1250 for 7 nights and 5 ski days at jackson hole, slopeside...pretty reasonable
  14. wow! i never thought of that for some reason that sounds very familiar
  15. I used to be young and daring. Unless I'm traveling with a pack of cars, or a quick burst to high speeds in a familiar area, you won't see me cruising over 80mph anymore on a 65mph road. I've gotten pulled over too many times, too many warnings, and one too many hearings to feel like dealing with it anymore. 80mph is a lot worse then 79mph if it pops up on a cops radar. And plus, with the cosine effect, I'll probably only read 77 or 78mph, so I'm pretty sure I won't be getting pulled over.
  16. Lift tickets are probably the cheapest thing in terms of a ski trip (lodging, airfare, etc). It is for Dan and I at least. You're better of going later in the season when there is 2x as much snow, and full terrain open then trying to save two hundred for a week of lift tickets. Crested Butte is a good hike from Denver if you wanted to make it as cheap as possible, but to fly to Crested from Denver is hella expensive. I drove from Denver to Telluride which is farther then Butte, but my friend lives out there and has a car, so we didnt have to pay for a rental car or anything.
  17. Belleayre is a PASR maggot favorite. I don't think Belleayre ever gets crowded, and has some pretty good terrain. Only 1 HSDQ, but it sounds like they're going to be expanding exponentially soon.
  18. Very true Dan. When I drove to Ann Arbor (570 miles) my average speed was 78mph, that's because I kept the cruise pegged at 79mph and didn't turn it off for over 3 hours. Driving 70mph vs 80mph adds another 3.5 hours of driving time. Every mph counts. And, at least out west, some of the speed limits go up to 75mph in really unpopulated areas, which means you can easily drive sub-90mph without problems from law enforcement.
  19. Driving 1000 miles a day wouldn't be too bad. I've done 700+ in a day, and what's another 300?. If you pushed it, you could do 2000 miles in 2 days.
  20. You'd rather take off for several days and wait for better conditions then ski in adverse conditions? That's not exactly a "love" for skiing. You're fair weather Finn.
  21. Both of those places have great night skiing.
  22. Slow lifts and flat trails are no fun, and it's 2x as far as blue for both of us. Doug is 18 miles from Blue...I'm about 19...JFBB is a lot more then that.
