zomg! I wish I could be like you Nick!

Nope. Race stock race skis + razor sharp edges = no ice.

I pulled into the Booter lower parking lot in front of the Booter lower lodge complete with rental shop and 5 star dining facilities. And bathrooms that don't smell like piss. I got there at 7:05. I so PASR maggot and mofo TP4 booting up a few rows over in his Jeep. I was already booted up, gloves on, car locked, skis in hand by the time Doug showed up. I waited around for Doug and we went to stand in line. Someone had sold TP4 a ticket before the booter ticket window opened, so he was able to join us for the wait. Unfortuantely, he didn't get first chair because Doug and I were too impatient, so we made him ride the 2nd chair with some goober. There were no Rodney or George sightings this morning, however the line skipper was out. He's a freakin grump and never looks like he's having a good time. Maybe Mark needs to teach him about jesus About our 4th run we met up with Chippy and Eugene. Chippy didn't have his baklava on because it was warmer. We skied some steezy runs with them. Eugene and Chippy were talking about Jackson Hole with all the PASR's that were in tow, including three runs with Concussion Ted, TP4, MBike Mike, NASTY-AR groupy Glenn, and of course Chippy, Doug and myself. It was weird taking up the whole mofo six pack. Ted had to go in for the morning circle jerk, though he reminded us he had fun in Utah. On the lift was doug, myself, tp4, eugene, chippy, and some random guy, and first doug saw alfonso, but then we saw Mary over lazy mile, and thus, doug yelled "Hey Mary! I gave you hurpees". Even the stranger was laughing. I think I saw Eugene crack a little smile. Conditions were really good. Nice softer blown snow, grippy as hell, but slightly forgiving. We did 22 steezy runs in some great conditions. Crowds were pretty light, and we were doing 7 runs an hour even buttering around waiting for TP4. We left shortly before 11am, and headed straight to the Booter Mtn Drive in where I got a ham and cheese omlet and a side of fresh sausage. Doug got two eggs fried over medium, and TP4 got french toast sticks. I had some dank heady orange juice, while Doug drank his coffe. We were a little upset we didn't get to see Eugene and Chippy at the booter mtn drive in, but they stay right to 12:30pm. I'm back at my house now, completely sober from that OJ, posting on PASR and I'm about to tune my skeeze for tomorrow.

As shadows said, racewax.com. The best, hands down. I use everything from DrD's (racewax.com) universal fluoro to his warm/cold flouro to his T-series, which I generally reserve for racing. But if I don't flouro, which isn't everday, I use swix universal warm. Easy to scrape, and is $35 for 900g of some decent wax. Makes a great base coat for applying Dr.D's flouros. It's not neccessarily the type of wax you use but the frequency of which you wax. Waxing after every use with Swix Universal will yield better results then waxing every so often with expensive flouro. For sticky snow blown snow like today...my gs skis were waxed with Dr.D's temperature specific T-series, which is amazing stuff, but tomorrow when it'll be variable and warmer, I just threw on some swix on my slalom skis. As for sharpening your edges....yes, I keep mine razor sharp at all times. I don't think I've ever hit ice this year at blue.

nice vid wezlo!

yea...some idiot clipped me on razors (a trail whore) which forced me to clip someone else. I saw that guy in the liftline and i said "im sorry, some other guy knocked into me" and he didnt want to hear it "you have no business going that fast" and he was shaking his head, so i said "i tried to say im sorry, so f*ck you" somethings are just mistakes, but some people think they're entitled to something.

it was freakin great this morning....

I was the first chair up again on another steezy day at Booter Mountain. Challenge was closed first thing because they blew a CRAPload of snow on it. Razors had a fresh dusting courtesy of the Booter Mtn Snomakers. It was beautiful. I was on my slalom skis so it was turn turn turn all morning. Met up with homeboy bigdaddyk after a few runs and we skied the rest of the morning together. Everything was perfect. Paradise, Razors, Lazy, Switchback, and Mainstreet all had that grippyashell smooth blown snow that was just so nice to ski on. After about 16 runs I see this guy looking at me intently and I was like wtf? So my next run down I see this guy pacing me on home stretch...i was like wtf...so he asks me in the liftline where he can get a PASR sticker, and i was like "who the hell are you?!" I thought it was FGT at first, but turns it out with was Craig, the marketing director at Camelback getting away from the hill and skiing a real mountain. I skied the remainder of the morning with him and bigdaddy. Let me tell you, Craig is an EXPERT on lifts. He knows everything! He's a real good guy, and it's nice to know that Camelback's marketing director, unlike the previous one, LOVES to ski and can rip! We toured around the mountain doing everything. Craig really liked switchback, as he was doing super-g turns like I do on it haha. It felt like the middle of the winter, that's how good the conditions were, and that's how cold it was in the morning. But by 12 it was sunny and warm and I had to head to work. I'd say conditions were the best they've been all season. The snow was my kind of snow to just RIP on.

it was nice skiing with you bigdaddyk....definately some AWESOME conditions out there first thing. main street was freakin SWEET...ill be out there again tomorrow morning
-
what a surprise to wake up to snow on the ground...i didnt think it was going to start this early, but fresh snow at the boot! w00t!
-
We have plenty of lifties on this board, and most notably, one who has worked at Mammoth (I think) as a liftie, and has stated several times, that you're average Dopplymayr/Poma can sustain 60mph crosswinds before shutting down. Camelback isn't seeing 60mph winds, let alone DIRECT cross winds. Blue's 6 pack is always running in 40mph winds, like today.
-
ill be there 8:30-11:30 tomorrow morning...
-
I'm laughing right now. You guys are too much. "Half pipe is closed because it is hard"...hahahaha.
-
uh oh...danger is getting excited....
-
i was a little late waking up...got on the snow at 8:40...they were still grooming razors at that point. snow was pretty freakin sweet all over. I did 22 laps off challenge, and two on razors. razors was really soft carvable blown snow, but too slow and too soft for me as I was in speed mode. Challenge was groomed perfectly flat with the kind of hardpack that i love to do quick mofo laps. i ended up doing 24 runs in 2hours and 55 minutes which is slightly above a 8run/hour pace, which is insane. conditions should be decent for tonight...sorry for the quick report...i gotta hop in the shower, eat lunch and get to work! bigdaddyk says he'll be out there tomorrow
-
So they guarentee a two month season? That's awesome!
-
If I was a cop....nevermind.
-
Well, besides the "Early Bird Special" which is available mid June, no. For that price you get top notch instruction and most importantly, you get to skip lines
-
This snow has lost alot of water content, therefor is sugar and won't stick together, thus it's a lost cause for me until they blow more snow, or it gets warm out. I need snow that sticks together when I arc my turns, and I also need it groomed flat. When we skied with Bob and Sexkitten two weeks ago, Challenge was freakin GREAT for that, hence why I was skiing so fast. I'm sure Razors will be the bomb deezy tomorrow.

http://www.skibluemt.com/learning_center/s...html#freeski It's the equvilent of the race team, but for the park. Freeridintre on here is the director.

it was horrible today.

I'm off all this week so I'll be at Blue first thing everyday. Bigdaddyk, you bringing the cystal meth for tomorrow?
-
If you get there at 7:30...you'll see that the park was infact groomed to perfection with fresh cord, and park crue was infact out touching up the features. Don't be so quick to jump down Blue's throat
